  1. Yeah, that's not bad. Got a nice beat to it. Don't think much of her as a performer, bit bland. Though to her credit she is incredibly attractive. As for me, i've been listening to one of the best debut albums of the past century: Shame nothing they've done since matches up...
  2. Not that Cesar would be a bad signing, but would like to see us go for somebody a bit younger. He is a quality keeper but not really a long-term option.
  3. If Spurs want to be really ambitious, they have to go for Simeone.
  4. Should've been given more time, seems that AVB has been f*cked over at both Spurs and Chelsea now. Seems that he didn't want most of the signings they made in the summer, they bought far too many players for too much money. Capello will be a good appointment for them, but he will have a big job on his hands trying to get that squad organised.
  5. I thank Pardew for what he achieved with us, and the foundations he created at this club, but you do have to admit he's a bit of a dour pr!ck. I remember at the JPT final he barely cracked a smile. I never really warmed to him in the same way that I did with NA and have now done with MP, don't think he enjoyed himself with us too much. Got to respect the signings he made though.
  6. I couldn't do that, it would hurt too much to see all my hard work ruined! This is why I think Fergie will kill himself within 12 months. As for the aforementioned all-star team, this is my XI going into Season 4... ---------------BEGOVIC---------------- CLYNE----LOVREN----BALANTA----SHAW -----ILLARAMENDI----WANYAMA-------- --------------------------------------- HERRMANN-----PROWSEY-------BERNARD --------------GABBIADINI--------------- Subs: Chambers, Kurzawa, Shawcross, Cork, Candreva, Villagarcia (RG), De Luca
  7. I can't say i'm not disappointed to have received 0 nominations. Can I at least get one for Third Wheel of the Year for trying to get in on Tokes and Bearsy's jokes? I've been a dedicated poster on SWF and its various incarnations for nearly a decade now, and I would appreciate a bit of acknowledgement.
  8. End of Season 3, won the Champions League and finished 3rd for the second consecutive season. If I can win the title next season I will go out in a blaze of glory and start another game..
  9. I'm the result of a bit of national cross-breeding myself: both of my Grandmas moved from their countries (Ireland and Sweden respectively) after generations of their family having lived there, and married men who had family going back generations in their countries (England and Scotland respectively) as well. Given that i'm a bit of a mongrel in terms of nationality, I have always found nationalism a bit odd. I've lived in Hampshire for all of my 22 years, but I wouldn't identify myself as English. In fact, I find the whole idea of being proud of a country, or countries being superior to others a bit of a farce given that the countries themselves are only constructs of our society. Call me a wishy-washy liberal, but I prefer to think of everyone as human as opposed to Uruguayan or Czech or whatever. Lets look at the bigger picture here!
  10. It made me laugh too, but I didn't want to be the first to admit it!
  11. I just watched Gravity on a sh!tty DVD Rip copy on my laptop, and I thought it was incredible. Like you say, not so much on the plot, but for sheer suspense and in a setting that felt so real but yet so alien at the same time. For me it had that same feeling of playing a computer game, probably due to the amount of POV shots that Cuaron included like he did in Children of Men. Absolutely loved it - especially that first 30 minutes. Stunning!
  12. I call bullsh!t on that, but i'll still take the praise. We mutually follow each other on Twitter, so it was funny to see his name pop up on here..
  13. How was your round of golf with MLT by the way Sarb?
  14. I know the lad that ran over to the P*mpey fan - nice guy! Just really really hates the Skates..haha.
  15. He is f*cking hilarious. Nice guy though and you can't say he's not passionate! If I ever need a chuckle I just look over at the facial expressions of the people standing next to him.
  16. Was in the middle of it - barely any policing at all past the railway bridge. Both sets of fans were mixing without realising it - didn't notice I was wandering around in the middle of all the P*mpey lot until they chirped up with a chorus of Blue Army (my nose is blocked, hence why I didn't notice earlier). 3 or 4 vans then screeched up just past the KA and it got a little messy. Nothing too big tbf, think there were more punches thrown in amongst the P*mpey fans during the game than there were outside the stadium!
  17. Just back from the game - got to say I was really impressed by the lads. Some lovely play, and P*mpey offered no resistance at all. In fact, it could easily have been 10. In fact, I guess you could say we absolutely battered them...
  18. In the summer when we were linked with Wanyama, I put forward the idea of playing Cork and Vic in holding positions in front of the back 4 with Morgan slightly ahead of them in a screening role, supporting the forward players and helping to break up play in the more advanced positions on the park. Still think that would work tbh, although it would mean dropping one of the 3 playing behind the striker (which, atm, would be Prowsey).
  19. Barker internally: "Note to self - never drop acid before going on job websites."
  20. I was a big Lightspeed Champion fan (also met him when he was watching The Long Blondes at Reading one year), but not really listened to the stuff he's done with Solange. Was actually going through my iPod the other day and had a little "I wonder what he's doing now?" moment when I brushed over that name.
  21. F*cking brilliant. Can't blame the Skate for wanting to get his photo done with a top class, international footballer. Don't get many (for many, read: any) of them around Fartton anymore!
  22. We were debating this in the pub - Osvaldo's was undoubtedly a better finish, but Lallana's edges it for me for effort, skill and movement.
  23. She's not bad, I guess.
  24. She's the blandest, most uninspiring thing to happen to music since Lana Del Rey. Honestly don't understand her popularity, although she's 16 and making her own music rather than having all her stuff manufactured for her so fair play on that. As for what i'm listening to, the hook from this song has been echoing around my head for the past week or so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNygDLi9gb4
  25. Has Turkish been giving you notes on how to wind people up on here as well as how to handle yourself at football?
