I dunno, if the wheels have really come off the Oli wagon maybe we can be in for a bit of decent 1996 style beating Man U action and then he’s sacked
-
All of this, and do we need another midfielder anyway? 2 strikers and 2 centre-backs please
-
the football was dog****, but I seem to remember being surprised to read that the first season we stayed up under him the only team to score more points than us in the 2nd half of the season was Leeds United who won the Championship. Who would have thought Paul Moody and Ian Dowie had it in them...

A few years ago at a Saints reserves game at The Dell (was a bigger reserve match so not at Staplewood - they opened the East Stand for it I think), one of our fans was making a load of racist comments (****** this and that, black bastard) etc., so it’s not a new thing at all. However it’s not “our fans” that are the problem, it’s a wider problem for society in that there are plenty of arseholes with small dicks / confidence problems that have to make themselves feel big by denegrating other groups of people. The papers go along with it... Stewards and even police don’t want to get involved btw for fear of making it worse - look at some of the **** that James Goddard ****flap has got away with in Westminster

Interestingly the Fulham fans on the 15.35 out of Waterloo think exactly the same thing. And they are right. It's a massive 6 pointer. However they have Mitrovic and we don't have anybody...

I retired at 41 through building up and selling a successful business, and as a businessman obviously you use convenient excuses where they exist. in this case however, the main economist quoted by Brexit supporters as support of the cause, Professor Minford, stated to a select committee that Brexit will see the end of the UK manufacturing sector, much like mining. own it

Saw him about a year after he retired at Walthamstow dogs on his own. He was alone, had pied up Luggy style and looked in a right ****e.

Cardiff will get the money back from insurance eventually, but I would imagine there was a down payment and they have a cash hole now if they want to sign a replacement.

The BBC played his voicemail from the plane to his parents on the news last night - bloody heartbreaking

I got to meet Sully at SAP Sapphire in Orlando in 2014 - what a lovely unassuming bloke. Anyway, I mentioned I was on a football forum with the bloke who lost all four engines in an ash cloud and not surprisingly he knew all about it. Also, the best keynote speech I've seen at a conference, opened with the entire ATC recording from takeoff to the ditching, then the lights came up. He made it relevant to IT as well, talking about how systemised procedures in manufacturing, on the ground and in the cockpit had made air travel so much safer. Anyway, almost certainly an RIP to Sala

Saints vs Derby - FA Cup 3rd Round Replay Thread
so22saint replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
This! Derby was local to me in the 90s and a guarenteed ****e day out. And they stole Mark Wright -
Superb signing, at his best under Adkins, Poch and RK he linked play brilliantly and always chipped in one or two great goals a season. Worth every penny of the fee and his wages, and a top bloke all round (including the time he sang Karaoke in The Jolly Farmer in Winchester dressed as Batman with his little boy and didn't take his mask off the entire time he was in the pub). If we sign a player in replacement with 90% of his professionalism we'll be lucky

Manolo Gabbiadini: Joins Sampdoria - Official
so22saint replied to Portugalsaint's topic in The Saints
I think he was initially brilliant, probably fell out of love with the club when Pellegrino came in and when he'd had enough of living away from Italy (he's always in the Italian eateries in Winch, like a Brit expat solely eating and drinking in an Irish pub) and I do wonder if a high pressing style is really his game. Shame to see him go, but if it frees up money for a central defender and a striker then... -
I was hoping you boys were going to have a barney - it could have been the battle of Shoreditch ;-)
-
He brings out the Best of You
-
and then we play our joker!
-
I got a free ticket to the Saints bar seats - was rammed with Chelsea fans around me - by the 3rd goal they were happy to sing and cheer which was annoying but there you go. Loads of empty seats around me there as well.. Mate in the family centre took his son (a massive Saints fan). He is a Forest fan - said there is a palpable sense of despair / malaise here...
-
Sounds a bit weird but I was sat next to him in Pi Winchester last night and he looked a bit low on confidence. Was on target with pizza slices into his mush mind you I did say to my boy "you saw him score a hat trick for us at Wembley" after he left. Fundamentally a good player but clearly not fancied by any of our managers, however since Koeman I don't really trust any of their opinions...
-
I'd like to see him put a word in the ear of Inui - though it's another midfielder ;-)
-
Probably Virgil in terms of the player, though the other two you mention were also excellent. Going back to our first 1m player Alan Mcloughlin pretty much all our record buys have been cr*p.
-
To go back to the original thread title, a mate of mine is looking after his dog and it's better than football than he is
-
did this last year for the Milk Cup - was bloody brilliant!

Because I'm old and fat I have a personal trainer. He's also a Saints fan and he and I have both agreed that the players showed signs of being unfit (late conceding of goals - losing concentration - all signs of fatigue) and in the case of Redmon he looks like he has a bit of a tum which wasn't there when he signed. If he can get them fitter and playing with freedom we'll just stay up I think.

ha ha ha. I said exactly this in my alpine bar this evening
