Really done with Ralph. Take some bloody risks and attack rather than sideways, sideways, back. Everything is so slow, it gives the opposition masses of time to get everyone behind the ball. No attacking threat whatsoever and they can't even seem to pass to each other. Zero creativity, no attacking threat and zero entertainment. For gods sake get rid of Ralph and try and convince Pochettino to come back.

Disappointed not to see Ballard make the bench. Assume Salisu on the bench due to travel/playing both games this last week. Bench does not look strong at all bar Salisu and possibly Edozie. Rest shows the poor quality of the overall squad.

We could have Haaland up front and it would not make the slightest difference. If no-one is creating anything for strikers they are not going to score. Yes Che had a nightmare against Wolves but against Villa he had zero service. Which was not surprising with weaklings A Armstrong, Moi and Djeneppo "supporting" him.

For everyone saying "we need a striker", very true. However we could have 4 world class strikers and we still wouldn't core. A midfield of 3 of Djeneppo, Armstrong and Moi will create absolutely nothing (as we have seen). I can't understand why Ballard doesn't even make the bench. Scores for fun at all levels and cannot be any worse than Adams and Armstrong. Ralph seems to have turned into Branfoot - look not to lose and play hoof ball. It's all rather depressing.

I wouldn't say he has been "pretty great" as he was super frustrating: you could see flashes of the talent he has but he never seemed to be able to apply that for a longer period of time. That being said, he has been a good servant to the club and wish him nothing but the best. I do sometimes wonder if some of the maligned players suffered from bad coaching and playing in a terrible team that they could not recover from at Saints (not to say they won;t elsewhere).

Lots of promising signs based on the cameos from Edozie and Mara. We will be a very exciting team once the youngsters bed in, Lavia gets fit: we'll still struggle to score goals though. Our summer signings look terrific and bode really well for the future. Hoping we can get Salisu to extend too as him and ABK look formidable at the back - first time in many, many years we can say that.

Yep, been terrible since he came on. Personally, I would take Perraud off, bring Mara on and put Djeneppo at LB. Perraud is being skinned very time they attack.

In Moi's defence he works really hard for the team. That being said he is slow in thought and movement that stops any fast attacking breaks dead in their tracks. Both him and Diallo have been very, very poor IMO. Rest of the side have done OK - nothing Bazanu could have done re. the goal: an unmarked player who scuffs a shot rather than hitting it cleanly. For the hysterical tarts moaning about him I would much rather have him back there than Forster or McCarthy.

We offered almost nothing as an attacking force that half, Aribo aside. Moi working hard but absolutely zero threat as an attacking force and Diallo is far too lightweight for this league. Hopefully both pulled at half time and bring Mara on to link the forward play and MN to add some solidity.

Disagree - I would hope he is welcomed back with open arms as that seems to be the type of club we are. Tough for a 16 year old lad to move with all the pressure of big bucks - particularly if he is shy. Much better that he realized he had made a mistake and address it rather than being miserable and perhaps drifting out of football. Hopefully SFC can protect him and gradually bring him in as sounds like he is a real talent. I certainly hope that he, Ballard, Doyle and others get a chance at playing for the first team this season.

If either of them turn out like Bazanu or Lavia we have bought very, very well again. Exciting times to be a Saints fan......first time since Lawrie Mac we are pushing the boat out. No excuses this season.

Couldn;t agree more. She may have been a decent player but she is an absolutely awful commentator.

Too many people on here playing Championship Manager methinks. Lets go and sign another 5 players - no worries. Actually that would be a disaster as how would they all integrate? We need a striker and (possibly) RB cover but otherwise we should be good. Bednarek, McCarthy, Stephens, Redmond, Walcott, Moi out and it will have been an excellent window. Plus we have some talented youngsters it would be good to see in spells.

Maybe Ballard is the answer to our striker problems? He scores for fun at every level: however Ralph is likely to play him at CB if he gets a chance.

I expect Valery to play at CB with KWP and Djenepo as wing backs. Extremely negative formation - not sure what, if any, service Adam Armstrong will get

Bednarek always ends up on his arse - terrible player with awful positional sense. The reason he makes so many blocks is his terrible positioning

Wow, that team looks horrible and shows how light we are in all positions. I really hope we make a couple of forward signings as the squad looks so light on goals.
