  1. No matter that he is not the most skilful or talented player we have, he has heart. We will need him next season and, as much as it pains me to say it, him and Bednarek at CB could be the experienced pairing we need next season. Really hope 80% of our squad is gone and that Selles gives some game time only to those who are in the plans for next season - and hopefully that includes Ballard, Doyle and Payne. Anything but the abject failures we have had to put up with this season. List could be endless but hopefully: McCarthy, AMN, Elyonoussi, ABK, Salisu, Adams, AArmstrong, Diallo, Tall Paul, DCC, Orsic are completely done with Saints. Will be sorry to see JWP and KWP go but they have both been gutless this season too and Lavia is just way too good for this s**t team.
  2. In what has been a truly horrific season, I have to say I have been massively impressed with both Jacob Tanswell of the Athletic and Benjy at the Echo. Their reporting and in-depth analysis has been absolutely brilliant and shows good journalism is not dead just yet. If only Saints were half as professional and diligent as these 2......
  3. Just seen the incredible stat that Newcastle have had over 30 touches in our box second half to Saints.....ZERO. Selles is such a coward and so cautious/afraid of losing that this is exactly what happens every time. Utter fraud
  4. What a f***** c***. He is so negative and risk averse and brings on 3 failures who should not be near the first team squad and suddenly we are 3-1 down. This squad, manager and owners are a complete disgrace. Get a temporary manager in who will play some of our younger players from the B team who have a winning mentality and actually try and win games. Selles is so far out of his depth it is untrue and is a coward. Afraid of losing so won't actually try and win games.
  5. Good god, how did we ever get to this? Those slating JWP are insane: this guy has been a primary reason we have not been relegated until this season. He has to carry the whole team. Lets see what you haters think when he is gone next season, looking good for his new team surrounded by better players and we have not replaced him effectively. Unbelievable.
  6. With some time to rethink after that diabolical display, I actually feel sorry for Selles who seems like a decent guy. Clearly miles out of his depth and a risk averse coach but no-one could get a tune out of these idiots. What a disastrous season this has been and what terrible owners SR are. Where on earth do Saints go from here?
  7. As hapless as Manuel in Fawlty Towers. Come to think of it, Manuel would have made a better manager than this idiot.
  8. Its not even worth getting angry any more. The whole season is just laughable. Selles has cost us this game - what a barking mad idea it was to change to 5 at the back at HT. WTF? Saints do not deserve anything and we are deservedly relegated. Question is, how the hell do we bounce back from this shambles next season. Certainly without Selles and half the squad.
  9. What a clueless moron......bringing on another defender. All those squawking for McCarthy - be careful what you wish for. Another player who gets better the less he plays because people forget how bad he is. SELLES OUT. ANKERSON OUT. PLAYERS OUT
  10. Utterly pathetic and embarrassing - setting up a team not to lose, at home when nothing short of 3 points will be enough. I would have expected far more boos at HT - that was appalling
  11. This is horrible, really horrible. Terrible team selection, terrible tactics and awful players. What a combination
  12. I just want to applaud Selles for his bravery. In yet another must win game he has put out a side to strike fear in the opponents hearts and minds. Bournemouth will be quaking in their boots at the thought of facing Eliuseless, AA and Walcott as a front 3. Terrifying. Meanwhile, pacy wingers such as Sulemana do not play and Tall paul not even on the bench. Nothing like going for it (quite literally). I can see the crowd getting very restless early on with that pathetic, defensive lineup
  13. I cannot believe anyone would think we can still stay up. We have been doomed for months - this is one of the worst Saints teams (and squads) I can ever remember (going back to the 70s). In years gone by (when we were at the Dell) we nearly always struggled but had a team with heart that always tried. This lot are like the lion and tinman from Wizard of Oz combined: no heart and no courage. And we are pathetically weak in front of goal and in defence. Anyone bigging up Che Adams is nuts: some of his misses have been quite incredible. I think we will struggle in the Championship next year and have no confidence in SR suddenly getting their decisions right after so many epic failures.
  14. Agreed - and it is clear where the 5 at the back nonsense came from in pre-season - according to the Athletic (who are rarely wrong) that is an Ankerson thing together with the direct hoof ball. To date, they have been a disaster for this club. A while back Adam Blackmore tweeted something similar - saying under Gao there was not much cash but everyone knew their role and we made steps forward whereas under SR the whole model seems to have been turned on its head. The most worrying thing is this multi club nonsense and pooling of resources.
  15. Funny how all these people leaving (and according to our uber fans are not good enough anyway) are going on to bigger and better things. Anyone who has any confidence in the charlatan that is Ankerson is deluded. Every decision so far seems to have been horribly wrong. very worrying times
  16. What a load of nonsense. Our club is in a right mess and it seems that Ankerson/SR are the main architects of that mess. We are losing a lot of good people and when Crocker announced a few months back he was leaving that was a blow.
  17. Ripping Norwich U23s apart - yet neither can get even on the bench for our s***e 1st team with dross like Moi and the Armstrongs preferred. It sounds like we may lose the best of our youngsters coming through - the pathway has been blocked by dross and this reflects really poorly on Ankerson and the club as a whole. Our club is rotten to the core
  18. Unfortunately, I don;t see any 'dream scenario'. The malaise at our club runs deep and SR have got every big decision wrong to date. I know folks think we'll walk the Championship but with this squad absolutely no chance
  19. Hoping to see some of our Academy starlets get an opportunity (if they have not left). Hopefully never seeing moi in a Saints shirt again. However, with our pathetic squad and Sr in charge I fear the worst for next season too
  20. I don;t understand the dislike of Selles. He has done as well as anyone else would do with this shower of s***. We have not scored goals since Ings left and we just don't create chances or have players who can make a difference in the final third. A few weeks ago it was 'STuart Armstrong should be playing', 'Caletta CAr shoulde be playing' and then they do and are utter, utter s***e. We have a terrible squad and no manager could make any difference with the tools at his disposal. That being said, we have to be braver and try and win games. Alcaraz, Suleman, Tall Paul should be starting every game
  21. Interesting we get a result and the difference between recent poor results and this is there are no 'senior' players in the team.
  22. Who gives a rats arse? We wasted 30 million when we had a player who is as good, if not better, than the 2 signed to play as wingers. 20+ million for Sulemana. We was mugged
  23. And yet the lad was deemed not good enough for our s%%$$$of a side. Unbelievable...around 30 million frittered away on 2 players that are hopeless (Edozie and the other winger)
  24. Agree with that, but some of the teams in front of us are in really bad form (Leicester, West Ham, Leeds, Forest). If we can continue our improvements under Selles (7 points from 4 games if I am not losing my mind, which is possible) we could get to 36-38 points which I think will be enough this season. That does depend on us being able to put the ball in the back of the net though. It's infuriating we wasted those winnable games with a useless plonker that was out of his depth from day 1. Let's hope Selles continues to keep us well organized
  25. OMg - that Reading game! I remember that really well. Under Souness, if memory serves me right, and what an awful, spineless display that was on a miserable day overall.
