wow....the little c**k can not stop digging can he? Since when has this big mouth, thick as pig s**T twerp became a self-styled 'rent a quote' idiot. Weston - what on earth has happened to him? He seemed to be a decent guy until he got into the England squad and now he is billy big b*****ks
-
and the problem with moving england games form wembley is??????? They can barely get half full attendances as it is so moving England games across the country would be a very good thing.
-
Lallana is an idiot. Is he really thick or does he truly believe what comes out of his mouth? I think it is quite clear he is not the brightest but why does he keep digging his hole deeper and deeper. However, for those saying he showed no loyalty, etc. - there is no such thing (except fans) in football and we got 25 million for him. Which has been used to strengthen our squad quite significantly. So he gets his "dream move" and we get a stronger squad. Need to let it go - he's gone, he has done himself no credit but we march on.

wow.....after all the nonsense posted on here during the summer and the mass hysteria still people claim they said/did nothing wrong. All the bile and hatred at the owners/Les Reed, etc was just fans showing their concern and if they hadn't done it then the Board would not have changed tack. All absolute bo****s and the mass hysterics deserve to be laughed at - as others have said, why on earth would Koeman have agreed to join if he really felt there was a risk of everything falling apart? Thankfully the club is made of better calibre people than some of the spineless, self-entitled, jellyfish on this message board.

Wonderful article....and very interesting that all (bar Pelle) signings were already on the 'wish list' for the club. Sure there will be bumps in the road ahead but enjoying the moment and Saints flying and lots of positive press. Be amazing if we were still top 6 at end of the year: although that is a long shot.

Free admission to our under 21 match tonight at St Mary's
washsaint replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
Agreed Goatboy....also thought Sam looked very good when he came on and showed good bursts of pace. Also thought Flannigan at right back looked pretty good and Targett looked excellent. Unfortunately can't see Rowe or Isgrove making the step up. Can certainly see why the U18s are struggling so badly....half their team are playing for the U21s. -
The release of Bates feels like a real smack in the chops. No idea what the club is doing........... They talk about Wheater being a much better batsman. really? He average a whopping 32 this season compared to bates' 26......a whole 6 runs better. And (from what I have seen live on ESPN) he is nowhere close in his wicketkeeping skills. Add to this bringing in Tahir for 2 games and shunting Briggs out what exactly are hants' plans for the future? And why would Briggs see his future at Hants after the way he is being treated and seen the way Bates has been treated? And then signing a 32 year old bowler to go with the other 35+ year old bowler we signed earlier this year. What on earth is going on?

What an absolute c**T and I truly hope the little s**t fails miserably at Liverpool. What a little pr**k he has turned out to be and we are well shot.......tadic will be far better than him and not a big headed charlie to boot. Boy, I hope he gets "welcomed" back to St marys like no other player, disrespectful little t**t.

What most people (including people on this board) forgot is that the team spirit was the key to our success: and still is. We are greater as the sum of the parts as opposed to individual players who carry the team. Obviously keeping Morgan was key but, for me, keeping Jose has proven essential as he is the heartbeat of this club and no doubt has been integral in helping the new players settle as quickly as they have.

Summary: Ronald Koeman's pre-QPR press conference
washsaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
More and more impressed with Koeman with each passing week. Very interesting that he is moving us away from constant pressing to a more intelligent pressing. Saturday will be very interesting to see how we try and break down QPR - we couldn't manage it against WBA and I would expect QPR to play a similar game. Hopefully the pace of Mane and guile of Tadic will tie Caulker and Ferdinand in knots. -
well done hants

Anyone else think we could be on the verge of something special?
washsaint replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
If you can't enjoy the good times and are just waiting for the down times to occur then I feel sorry for you. Life is way too short and enjoy every minute - you never know if it will be your last. -
What is wrong with Hants? Suspect weather day 4 and not like they had bowled a huge number of overs. If this costs them promotion serious questions will need to be asked.

Very early days still but......... - RK looks like our best manager since Lawrie Mac already. Highly articulate, does not suffer fools gladly and has Saints fighting for everything - Just got only our 3rd ever win over Arsenal at Arsenal - We have now won 2 away games after coming from behind: I cannot remember another season when we have been able to do that - Team is still bedding in but we still look threatening and with pace and trickery from the wings - RK has a Plan B, C, D and E unlike Pochettino! - Incredible depth in defence with 2 quality players for every position. Good luck keeping them all happy! - Schneiderlin appears to be content and happy here again (for now) - When Mane gets up to speed and ROdriguez gets fit we will be frighteningly good up front and will scare teams to death - Spirit in the camp seems superb: from the Board all the way down - Money in the bank to spend if needed in January Truly a great time to be a Saints fan right now - particularly sweet after the start to the summer! Meltdown, what meltdown?
-
As others have said, maybe opens the door for Reed to get some minutes and show what he is capable of. Very disappointing for JWP - many on here don't seem keen on him yet he keeps getting lavish praise from ex-players, managers, etc. so he is doing more right than wrong
-
Amen to that vftt. Also have a Boardman that is now only used for family rides. Addictive....absolutely, now several century rides are under the belt want to start looking at double centuries and challenges like pikes peak. Don't understand how it became so addictive
-
yeah come on crab lungs...#itshappeningbutnotasyouthought Is the sky still falling down? Are we still doomed and when will the club be sold? You've been exceptionally quiet lately....wonder why?
-
FFS....what is it with the arrogance of some posters on here? The fans "forced" the Board to stop the sale of Morgan - what a load of b*****s. Re-reading this thread, some posters look like utter p***s!
-
Is that a promise?
-
Squad so thin....are you having a giraffe? We are blessed with so many options in midfield. Toby out but Yoshi did pretty good and Gardos looks like a unit, Mane still to come in and Rodriguez back in a couple of months. This is the strongest squad depth we have had for many a year.
-
Backroads Century this Sunday out in Berryville, VA. Never done it before but meant to be a beautiful ride with great tomato sandwiches at the rest stops! Shame, as this is the last organized Century ride of the season and soon enough it will be a case of trying to stay motivated enough to bang out the winter miles - and it gets cold here! Don't know where on earth summer went - flew by this year.
-
what a top bloke Morgan appears to be.....some of our departed (but not lamented) players could well learn a thing about how to conduct themselves. Really hope Morgan means what he says - interesting bit in that is 'fulfil ambitions with Saints'. I.e. been told we are looking to get into Europe and aiming for CL (however unrealistic that may/may not be). Although I'm probably reading way too much into that.
-
gotta say........Franny is such a legend and it is to NC's eternal shame that he tried to airbrush our history. From afar, it feels like the club is working hard to be more inclusive and Kruger continues to come across exceptionally well. Question for those going to St Marys.....is the corporate area fuller than for the last couple of seasons (i.e. is commercial side on the way up)? Truly hope the feel good factor remains in place all season. Thank the lord we have the Liebherrs in control of our club.
-
yep and crab lungs......interested to see what they have to say now (early days and all that)
-
good thing about that game was that (despite Newcastle being awful) it looked like Saints were playing well within themselves. We really look a threat and have true competition for all positions now - something we have not had for many a year. Could be a frighteningly good season if we continue to improve and Mane and Rodriguez to come in. Full credit to Koeman - commentators were talking about how RK changes it up all the time so other team doesn't know how we will play next as opposed to 'Plan A' Pochettino last season. Early days but hugely encouraging. Certainly don't see how we will be involved in a relegation battle and really think we could challenge for 6/7 this year.
