  1. Just like last season then. Remember that Fletcher goal and they did little else ... but still won.
  2. Did WBA pay a fee to bring him in? Or in on a free? If a fee paid, I would hope he would refund that from his own pocket IF he does retire.
  3. Always take mine on holiday to Tenerife. Took mine to Cyprus in 2011, found a bar showing a game and met a Saints fan and his son from Hamble.
  4. Unlike some, I don't spend all day online. And I've never sought AP in toilets. I have seen him in town and smiled and put my hand up in recognition, to which he smiled back. That's the full extent of our relationship, sir, and any further allegation will be routed to my counsel.
  5. Just read this on yahoo. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/pitchside-europe/oxlade-chamberlain-oversight-costs-arsenal-200-000-133938812.html We've billed Arsenal for using their own player!? You have to laugh. Kerching.
  6. Proves. Good luck learning English, but you must try harder.
  7. Why? He is under contract. The club have the right to sell him for market value, which I suggest went from £5M to £10M after last night's performance. Can't see Liverpool offering that, and I can't see Cortese selling him at all.
  8. Who is that shapely black woman on the left? Hubba hubba.
  9. Interesting. Are we now talking to the player, or still to that opstreporous (sp.) agent who had so much to say before? Hopefully the player will now see that Chelsea, Inter Milan and the like are not coming in, and even Cardiff are not going ahead. Come on Wanyama, sign up.
  10. I saw the thread title and knew this would polarise opinion!I'm with you, Hulk. We would struggle to get anyone so versatile who could drop in to a number of positions, without whingeing. Make him an offer, Saints.
  11. Was just reading the 'Redknapp to quit QPR if he can't buy Bridge' story on another website, and was so surprised he is a free agent I stopped reading that page to come and write on here.I am as enthusiastic as Colin (OP). Yes, has to be within our wage structure and he must recognise he will be competing with Shaw, but I'm a massive 'yes' to the option.Sure, Harry might offer him silly money, but he's a Winchester lad and I'm confident he would relish the chance to come back here. As Jose says "life is short, you need to go where you are loved."Come home, Bridgey. You know it makes sense. And bring ALL the Saturdays with you. I'd be 'all fired up' at that.

  14. Yes, a mix of professionals who have served the club well in previous seasons and up-and-coming potential. Yet, as we are now a Premier League club, its a high step up and the club have to consider whether these 'seedlings' will be ready for the Premier League soon (extend their contracts and play them in the U21), and that decision is 'no'. Wish them all well.
  15. There will be a number of players 'made available' over the summer. Players who aren't at Premier level, more at Championship and League 1 level. As said above, while we were unsure whether we would be playing in the Champo next season, it made sense to keep them on our books and loan them out. Any who are out of contract are free to pursue their careers elsewhere, and any still in contract will be given a price tag or made available for loan. The Club will now focus on top league players, either from home or abroad.
  16. I think Lukaku would be everyone's first choice. Definitely mine. After him, if Carlton Cole is being released (see news today) maybe we could add him to the squad, to rotate with Lambert.
  17. Dave Merrington, for me, if the sword should fall. "What we don't wanna do now, Adam .."
  18. Even if I had read this before HT, I would have said "it won't; Wigan love to soak up pressure then need just a free kick or a corner to score. Lo and behold!" I won't sit comfortably until Arsenal are 3 goals up!!!
  19. By "Cortese considering his position" ... is there any chance he is simply meaning he is considering moving to a seat a couple along from his existing position?
  20. Ooooh mama! Count me in!!! Hubba Hubba, Taylor Swift!!!
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-22512744 I'm a 'promising pedant' according to this, but please don't tell the police!
  22. That's a good shout, but he probably wouldn't want to come south for a loan.
  23. He IS good enough to kick the ball 6 yards. And we need a fox in the box to get a goal. We are too cultured at times, would like to see us get it into the box and scrap a goal. Could be the difference between winning and drawing!
