If it's a World Cup, then all teams around the world can enter. I hope the Thais aren't feeling utterly demoralised today after that. Any chance we can get a bid in on Jill Morgan? I would say she's a babe, but such comments seem to annoy the 'new men' like Batman.

Haha yeah, he's obviously a disciple of Jim White on Deadline Day evening, where the Transfer Window "slams shut at 11pm" ....only it doesn't as the deals trickle on to the next morning
-
So ...Gallagher and Austin going to Birmingham with Adams coming to us??? Maybe a cash adjustment? All I read is that Brum want £12M, we have offered £8M. Surely agree on £10M and job's done.
-
I really like it, but yes, agree with post above, that maybe 30 mins per half would be better. (Like tennis, best of 3 sets for the ladies.) Any chance to see Alex Scott is welcomed. She looked great in an orange dress yesterday. (citation not available.) Inciteful punditry. Committed football without the histrionics of the mens game.

When - and I hope it's 5 years away - Hassenhuttl moves on - then maybe we can entice Koeman back. All the dark men have moved on.

The Liverpool fan in the office said it was casually commented on Liverpool TV last night that we get an extra £10M in the Mane deal for their CL delight. Now Ings will only cost us £10M. I told him we'd pay the extra £10M again to swap him in for Origi. They expect him to move on too as now he has proven his worth in the last few games, but still won't be first choice, they are bracing themselves for offers.

Assistant to Raidi Jaidhi planned.....

We may have to accept a basic loan fee which can be deducted from the purchase price at the end of the season. Or accept a £10M fee, paid £2M a year?

The small things in life that annoy you

That woman travelling in the middle lane of the M3 at 8:20 this morning, at 45mph in an oversized vehicle, looking terrified. My lights flash and horn peep were ignored. You don't HAVE to travel on the motorway, love, take the A33! -
It's Crispy Cooke, a long suffering Aston Villa fan, or so it says at the end of the article. There's a few of us would have liked him to have been used more last season, but he wasn't, and he won't be next season (presumably) so only right we let him pursue his career elsewhere. 7 mins here and there isn't enough for him.
-
I agree with you, Ally.
-
No, agreed. But you also don't start with a derisory offer that will p*** off the seller and indicate you're not serious!
-
Latest reports are that both these players are in the shop window with a For Sale sign. I like the sound of Jansson's attitude and desire to win, and so should Ralph.
-
I didn't say it was. Only that if multiple offers come in at £5M only one club can buy him. Offering £7M to get ahead in the process seems wide to me. And I do want him. He has proven he IS over his injury.
-
Nope, it's Pontus Jansson from Leeds.
-
Not sure about that. It is now in the public arena and other clubs can enter the bid process. I prefer the approach of "we will give you £15M but it is conditional that we have an exclusivity period while our offer is considered, and we want the offer to be accepted by Friday." Boom.
-
Flip me, I was keen to bring him back even before I read that. At £5M it's a no-brainer. However, I see Burnley are in for him and I expect he will want to go back there. But I would make an offer of maybe £7M to see if we can get him.
-
Yeah, Man at C&A ... He can afford something more stylish than a jumper/blazer combo.
-
I think it's time to do the right thing for the player's career. Fulham wanted to buy him for £10M (or was it £15M?) a year ago, but we chose to retain him. He hasn't had the chance (or been able, depending on your viewpoint) to become first choice, so getting 5 games a season is no good for his development. He does need to be first choice somewhere. However, as Labibs comments above, I fear their offer now will be in the range of £5M-10M. At £10M upwards, we should sell him for the player's sake.

Hot off the press : 16:26CARRILLO SET FOR ARGENTINA RETURN Argentinian giants Boca Juniors want to give Guido Carrillo a route out of Southampton and back to his homeland. Sky Sports News understands they are among a clutch of teams interested in signing the striker this summer. Carrillo joined the Saints from Monaco in January 2018 while his compatriot Mauricio Pellegrino was head coach – but it has not worked out for the 28-year-old at St Mary’s. Carrillo has made just seven Premier League appearances and three more in cup competitions without scoring a single goal. It is understood there are also clubs in Spain, Italy and Mexico who have expressed an interest. Meanwhile, Southampton are not trying to sign the Fiorentina goalkeeper Bart Dragowski, contrary to reports in Italy. The Saints are not in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer with Angus Gunn, Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster all still on the books.

Arsenal seem to want Ozil out. Just saying.

Why has this upbuilding thread floundered already? Come on ... * my granddaughter * my son and daughter * a baby's giggle * a cold beer on a hot day * a hot drink on a cold day * white wine * beer gardens * a late winner for Saints
