The January Transfer Window 2019!
the saint in winchester replied to Kieran1uk's topic in The Saints
We wouldn't. You are a genuine ITK. Not good news, unless you are Matt Targett and his family. Seems Targett is now deemed as the #1. -
Hesketh and Flannigan join Burton Albion on loan
the saint in winchester replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
09:53 HESKETH TO MK Southampton’s young midfielder Jake Hesketh is heading on loan to MK Dons for the rest of the season, Sky Sports News understands. The 22-year-old returned to St Mary’s earlier this month after spending the first half of the season at Burton Albion, scoring three goals in 23 appearances. -
And now he's bringing in his mate at RB, so looks like Moi stays for a while.
-
And Sharp never had the chance to play in the Premier League, so you can't go round saying "he's had scored 0 in EPL." Give him the chance, then we will know. I predict he would score!

I'm with Mrs JBS. I don't think he is anything special.

The January Transfer Window 2019!

Any chance it's that fella Billy Sharp at Sheff Utd? He's a good striker. -
Puel has become more animated while at Leicester. Might want to show it when asked "do you fear for your job?" An answer of "it is not my concern" may give the wrong impression. I know he is trying to say "it's not my decision to take, so rather than worry myself sick, I will do my utmost to win every game" ... but he doesn't say it.

Surely this is the key question. Why hasn't Henderson explained this? Maybe he has but it's sub judice and not been make public. His comments will explain a lot as to what really or may have happened. In the absence of Sala and Ibbotson, his evidence is what we need to hear.
-
Feel free to share them. It does seem an odd one. Private hire of an old single engine plane 'flying by night' over water, when he could have gone the formal option. Why do this?
-
Would we consider that Ezekiel Squeletto (spelling, cba) from Brighton? They want to find a new home for him.
-
Doesn't he live at Bishops Waltham, and meets MLT at the motorway services on the M3 on the way up to Super Saturday? Or is that just a legend?
-
Doesn't hold back from putting himself in the way of the shot. That's what you need from your defenders. No concern for his own welfare. Automatic choice for me.

For me, 9 points - winning the home games. Anything above that is a bonus. Less than that is disappointing.

The January Transfer Window 2019!

I am also in the Boufal IN camp. Bring him home. Ralph wants 'game changers'. He is one of those types. -
He can also take a mean free kick, when JWP lets him.
-
Just wrong.

Looked good last night, would have had him in the starting lineup myself. If only (was it Romeu?) had passed the ball left to SG rather than to the right to Redmond, for that shot that NR hit the keeper with, I think we would have had another goal scorer last night. SG had the better angle. If only Stay strong, Sam!

The January Transfer Window 2019!

He seems to be Bournemouth's version of our Martin Cacares signing. Expensive, and sits on the bench, only to be used if existing players go down with a plague. Agree, an odd one. -
Saints vs Derby - FA Cup 3rd Round Replay Thread
the saint in winchester replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Sounds like Derby are planning to put out a strong side, maybe incl Harry Wilson. We may need to match them. My team was full of reserves, but now .... -

How long left on his contract? You can't just ask players to leave today. Unless he has someone quality lined up, it would be foolish to sell Cedric. -
Saints vs Derby - FA Cup 3rd Round Replay Thread

Are we sending Pilchards up to their training ground bushes to have a look at them? Do we send out a strong side, or hope the reserves can get us through? -
Yan Valery - Official: Signs for Angers
the saint in winchester replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
That's the key phrase for me - that he learns from what happened. And sure, Vardy's diving is embarrassing. Both Charlie Nicholas on Sky (watching the game) and the MOTD pundits called him out on it, and even Lineker the Leicester fan agreed it was shameful. -
Yan Valery - Official: Signs for Angers
the saint in winchester replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Am I the only one concerned about Valery's temperament? I'm not convinced there was contact to get a penalty, so Chilwell would challenged him. After that, Valery seems to want to 'have it out with him'. Yes, the second yellow was soft, but he shouldn't have been so close to Chilwell to get caught. Two players on red card suspensions now. Ralph needs to calm him down. -
I guess it'll be Long tomorrow, and maybe he will give Gallagher a go vs Derby next week.

That's a good summary and represents how I see it too. Forster is currently not saleable and would need to play himself back into the frame. Gunn looks ready, and we could probably get £15M for McCarthy. Simply a business decision. I hope Macca becomes #1 at the club he goes to, rather than bench warming. IF THIS RUMOUR IS TRUE.
