  1. All of that SHOULD happen, Benji, it's the sensible course of action. But sense has gone out the window and personal pride and intransigence has taken over. What I think will happen is similar. She is (allegedly per BBC news) making private agreements with backbenchers today to agree an exit date in return for their support in the vote. She will Brexit us then exit stage left. ps. Maybe NOT Boris as next PM.
  2. Depends what you accept as "soon" Greenridge. He wrote that on 25/11 and Hughes didn't go until 3/12. A week is a long time in politics (heck it is today!!!) and in sport, a week is an eternity. He has a contact inside the club. If that contact is a player, then the player wouldn't know board plans. It's likely players were under the impression MH was sticking around lest they downed tools and waited for the exit.
  3. I think you should apologise, Avenue. I have no idea who TID may be, but he is definitely ITK. If he says it, I believe it.
  4. Do you mean bowl? I would move them, ideally to Fratton Park, if not, then to central Itchen stand.
  5. Let's give RH a chance to polish them though. Who knows what he can unearth. He will be using this month to assess the squad and then bring in and move out during January. Exciting times.
  6. "If you want guarantees, buy a washing machine" !!! lols
  7. This, exactly. We gave him £1M to thank him for a job done, and then paid him more to keep us up again this season?
  8. I think you're raising the same point as I was going to raise? But to be sure ... the official statement on the OS makes no mention of the fella mentioned elsewhere (name escapes me right now) who would be the Asst Mgr. Just "will be supported by Kel Davis et al.." This guy was just 29 and a defender. Would be good to get confirmation he IS coming too.
  9. The badge is going to rub off? Shoddy workmanship.
  10. We should mourn his passing first .... then nab Marco Silva off Everton
  11. Good one. That made me chuckle.
  12. Let's play Tyreke Johnson and Smallbone against Man U on Saturday!!!
  13. Like your style, Kucho. Round up the old boys! They'd all want 100k pw though.
  14. Can we make a list of managers who WOULD take the job on a temporary contract? ie until end of the season, with or without bonus ... Strachan? who else?
  15. I said 'progress' in that Hughes was finally putting out a better team ie not playing Hoedt and Austin, prepared to change the personnel, and I saw a team determined to win. That's progress on the previous games where it has been same old team and the players going through the motions just hoping to win. Players come out in defence of Hughes, so they need to show they have confidence in him. But if Saturday's team features Hoedt and Austin again, and the players go back to looking out of sorts, then a change has to be made. But I do agree the next change should be to make this boardroom appointment promptly, then the new incumbent can influence the choice of manager.
  16. There was progress last night, good commitment from the players, and if he plays the same team again on Saturday, I would hold back on the P45 as it would disrupt the side. However, if we see Hoedt and Austin back in, then Hughes isn't learning, so then he would deserve to go.
  17. He could do them all. Yes, I would call him and try to get him as DoF or whatever title he wants. Then let him choose the next manager.
  18. ----------------Macca------------ --Valery---Stephens - --Vest--Bertrand-- ------------Lemina-Hoj------------- --Gabbi------Armstrong---Redmond-- ---------------Ings/Obafemi--------
  19. Cedric's comments after the match would confirm it's a mental issue. Hardly positive thinking to say that they expected to lose from a winning position.
  20. Would probably agree with you, and Obafemi up top. Only concern is : who has the pace to man-mark and out run Vardy? Yoshida is our quickest, yes?
  21. Good stuff, Benji. Just been drawing that on my pad, and it would use our players in the their best positions. I think we have found Hughes replacement in house, everyone!
  22. Ideally : Pep Guardiola Worst case : Mourinho Would take : Jakanovic
  23. Whoever we appoint, please just give him a contract to the end of the season. Not a 3 year contract that will make us pay a severance fee within 18 months. If the new manager does well, give him a rolling contract.
  24. Yes, compare the #9's on the two sides - Mitrovic and Austin. Which one would you rather have? (Rhetorical question, as I know your answer)
