11:56FOXES OPEN TO ULLOA EXIT Leonardo Ulloa is another player that Leicester are prepared to let go, if the deal is right, according to Sky sources. Sky Sports News understands Aston Villa have made an approach to take him on loan, but a number of other clubs are also interested. BESIKTAS IN SLIMANI TALKSBesiktas want to sign Leicester striker Islam Slimani, Sky Sports News understands. Club president Fikret Orman is currently in Leicester, and was at King Power Stadium last night to see Slimani play against Fleetwood in the FA Cup. We understand talks between Leicester and Besiktas are ongoing, but there’s been no official comment from Leicester.

I would probably go with that team too. Seems MP is mandated to play 4-2-3-1 (think that is what endears him so to Reed & Kreuger, following the Southampton Way), and yes, I would also like to see Lemina in the 3 now PEH has proved his worth. Unless circumstances dictate o0therwise, bring Long on to replace JWP or Boufal in 2nd half.

He wants to be first choice and not rotated. He makes that clear with his comments. I would bring Boruc back. He hardly gets a game with Begovic being first choice.

Hear hear.

J-Rod reported to FA over remark to Gaëtan Bong

"Jay denied he said the words, although he doesn't know what the alleged words used were." Strange. -
Watford v Saints - Post Match Meltdown
the saint in winchester replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
You can put your wallet away. Phil Thomson, Sky, was horrified and said "that why VAR is needed; a clear handball and the officials missed it." -
Indeed. At 1-2 he should have had Gabbi on straightaway, play 2 up, Boufal playing behind the front 2. The best form of defence is attack, not 11 men behind the ball for 45 minutes!!!

Watford v Saints - Post Match Meltdown

Yeah, it's that that frustrates me. He doesn't realise the best form of defence is attack. Just tries to defend a lead and we get caught out every time. Annoying to concede to a handball, but there was also the shirt tug that should have been a penalty. Can't see us winning again this season. But MP will stay on. But then I don't think he would have gone even if we lost 5-0, so we just have to grit our teeth and hope. Annoying that West Brom won. -
That would be a joy to behold. About time there were consequences for their lackadaisical attitude! Balotelli IN!

A careless whisper? From a good friend?

The "Return of Theo Walcott" thread
the saint in winchester replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
We seem to be relying on the part about him (potentially) not wanting to uproot his family from the south. Is he still living around Berkshire? If he has to move at all, then we lose that advantage. I guess we just offer him what we can afford, and if he chooses a higher offer, then we did what we could. (sigh) -
Sadly, it was always going to be this way. The time to bring in players in when you are doing well, and seemingly don't need them, because then players WANT to join you. Right now, it feels like we are recruiting for a leper colony, as no-one wants to join us now. We really are going to have to push hard. I would love Walcott in, but that won't be done until 10pm Deadline Day, if at all. We can try for Ihanacheo - at least Leicester are open to selling him. But the big picture is that our league position is already a red flag, and it's going to get even worse in the next 22 days ...

You have to play to score. Give him the games, he will score. Ulloa IN!! (Argentinian, just saying)

The "Return of Theo Walcott" thread
the saint in winchester replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
Wenger does this all the time. Theo needs to tell Wenger he wants out, this month, not be distracted by suggestions of more game time in future. -
From SSN IHEANACHO AVIALIBLE? Kelechi Iheanacho could be on his way out of Leicester City despite only signing in August. Claude Puel has admitted he has too many strikers at the club and we've been told Leicester are willing to listen to offers for Iheanacho, Leonardo Ulloa and Ahmed Musa. I have expressed interest in Ulloa previously. Still think he would be ideal for us as an option to Charlie . Iheanacho would be a good Gabbi alternative.

13:26 ON TARGETT Fulham are interested in signing Southampton left-back Matt Targett on loan, according to Sky sources. However, no deal has yet been agreed between the clubs. Whites boss Slavisa Jokanovic wants another option at left-back as well as a centre-back and striker this month. Another option? I was hoping we could have Ryan Sessegnon on loan in return.
-
I was going to copy paste this myself, but you already posted it. How much of this is true? He WON'T be playing alongside Austin, as MP refuses to play 2 up top. Do we need a back up RB? We have Cedric and Pied as backup.

Sorry, that would be me. Some things I don't like to compromise on.

The "Return of Theo Walcott" thread
the saint in winchester replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
Matt Le Tiss was asked yesterday what Walcott should do if he wants to move on and the his answer was "make it clear to Wenger that is his final decision. Wenger will hold on until a player tells him straight that he wants out." Tell him, Theo. Tell him tonight. -
I said on another thread I would bring Gallagher back, pay off Birmingham, put him in the side immediately.
-
Yeovil claiming they have made agreement with Saints for transfer of Olofofami and are in the process of agreeing personal terms. If that is the case, and I hope it's not, then it's unlikely he will play. I've said on other threads, we can't afford (performance wise, not financial) to let him go until the end of the season.

Olomola loaned to Yeovil (6 months)
the saint in winchester replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Crazy to let him go. I hope their manager is blowing smoke with the claim it's down to the player and his agent. Get him back here to help out for this half season, and we can look at it again in the summer. -
In our current predicament I would not grant Olomola's loan to be extended, that much we can make happen. I would also try to bring Gallagher back. Yes, I know he's on a full season loan, but charity begins at home. And hopefully Josh Sims is not far off fitness. Any signings will probably be in the last week of the month so we need to freshen the side until then.

Sorry, can you explain that for us dimmos? I would have Jakanovic on my list of possible managers, so if he's disgruntled at Fulham, all the better.
