Seems odd to have let Gardos go out on loan (aka release him) when 'we' (the management/owners) must have known Yoshi was out injured.

OK, Sunday 1.30 it is then (so y'all say). Off to the trainline now. -
Hilarious. Shouldn't be watching it at work, having to stifle s******s now

And to bring in Marco Silva to replace him. If he does come in and energises them, we could be bottom soon. All supposition at this stage. If my auntie had .....

Seriously, let's introduce them into the senior team, one at a time, until they are all playing.

Is this a documentary about Elise Christie's Olympics 2018?

Cup win, all day long. This is our best chance in years. We have a good chance of promotion next season, if that is needed.

Next FA Cup victim thread - Wigan v Man City

Yes, if Wigan can beat Citeh at home, do you think they will fear us??? Delighted for them tonight, they deserved to win. Will be a tough game for us. Would love to go if it's a Sat or Sun game. My mother's home town (and not a lotta people know that!) -
If you could have one PL player in our side......

One player total? I was hoping one player from each team? But only one? As our problem is creating goals, moving FORWARD from midfield to the striker, another vote for the king of assists, Kevin de Bruyne... -

The FA have said both semis will be at Wembley, even if one involves Spurs. They get a "home" draw. -
FA Cup Qtr Final Saints v Wigan or Man City AWAy

Hopefully, Man Citeh will play the youth side against Wigan, and lose ... If not, then play the youth side against us .... -
Yes, I think that is the underlying reason he is still here. Non-Saints fans were perplexed that Saints sacked a manager who took them to 8th and almost won the cup. In the club management's eyes, to change manager ONCE was discerning, to change manager AGAIN may appear foolish and out of control. All brand image, how we look.

Watford U23's v Saints U23's #PLCup

Right, let's have Callum Slattery in the starting line up on Saturday, please. -
No guarantees, agreed. But likelihood, probability. Marco Silva has proved to be an impact manager, and I for one believe he would accrue more points in our final 11 games than Pellegrino, and those points may make the difference between relegation and staying up. No, he couldn't save Hull but they were a corpse when he went there. He won points under his management but were too far behind, he couldn't make up the difference. He went on to do so well at Watford that Everton started courting him. The warning is there that he can be flirted with, but we just need an immediate impact and short term return. I would terminate Pellegrino, or offer him "suitable alternative employment" (legal definition) to avoid the redundancy payment, then bring in Silva on a rolling 3 month contract.

That's the spirit ...not. Hopefully, West Broom will take that approach and we can get past them. -
My predictor has Stoke on 34, Saints on 30 and West Brom on 26. Yikes

I reckon he will be sacked tomorrow

He pops over from Papsweb every now and then to see whatsupp. -
Adrian Durham raised it on Talksport last night, inviting Southampton fans to call in. As I was driving home, I left it to "Jamie" to speak for us. He explained how clueless Pellegrino was, referenced the performance and substitutions at the weekend, that almost all fans wanted him gone but clearly the Board are giving him all the time in the world in the hope he can somehow turn it around. Pellegrino is apparently 8/11 ON to be sacked next but it isn't happening.

Enjoy? I would enjoy a manager who didn't work me too hard! This is a results-based business.

Toby A ? Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld will not travel to Turin for their Champions League last-16 tie with Juventus, putting the 28-year-old Belgium player's future at the club in doubt. (Telegraph)

If it going to happen at all, it needs to happen tomorrow, by 5pm. Gossip pages suggest that if Chelsea falter tomorrow night, then Conte is gone and Silva is hired on temp contract at Chelsea. If he had the choice of Chelsea or Saints on Wednesday, there's zero chance of him picking us, so sign him up MONDAY. For me, it's a yes to Silva, Adkins, Strachan, Pearson on a temp contract to end of season, but a no to Hughes. Review longer term in the summer. But, to be clear, Pellegrino out immediately. He can't inspire our players, sorry.

True, a manager needs to motivate or see what needs to change and then make that happen. Pelegrino may be a very nice man, doesn't make waves with Reed, but he clearly can't coach or get the best out of this squad, so needs to be replaced.
