  1. There's every chance. He is fit and ready to play, assessed as in the right frame of mind. Probably keen to put the last few weeks behind him and get back in the groove. If Rickie comes on as sub, standing ovation time. But he may start if Rondon is on the bench.
  2. He'll play. No better way to get up to speed than playing. Yoshi on the bench as backup.
  3. Yes, do feel for Bournemouth and for the players involved. They invested well, spent a lot of money, and no-one can have seen this happening so soon.
  4. Victor Wanyama is putting him up until he gets his own place. That's a joke, ok, I have no evidence to confirm that...yet!
  5. It's the way he ends it... “I love Liverpool Football Club, and if you said to me which team would I have loved to manage in this country it would be Liverpool - but I can’t see it this year.” Re-worded as "I'm still available; I'll work for anyone, and I think the Liverpool job is coming available soon, and did I mention I'm still available..." He can't help himself, can he?
  6. Yeah, we have to use him. It's daft to pay him and not use him at all. He knows he is drinking in the last-chance saloon and surely he would take his chance?
  7. 'Paying top wages' may attract you the player, but when he finds he isn't a regular, he becomes disenchanted. Then you find out the character of the player - will they be prepared to accept less wages and play for another side ... or be content to sit around and take top dollar for occasional games?
  8. Posted my team above, but RK has made it clear that Rodriguez will be a regular (presumably starter) when he is fully match fit. Between Tadic and Jay-Rod for me in that L side of the attacking 3 behind Pelle. Pelle Tadic/J.Rod - JWP - Mane
  9. So price now seems to be £13M. Yesterday it was £11M. What's £2M between friends...
  10. Someone suggested the DeBarge song "Rhythm of the Night" be changed to (Rhythm) of Van Dijk. Sounds good.
  11. I didn't say it wasn't relevant. Are you raising threads about "what if Pochettino head explodes.." and "It's not impossible that Ian Branfoot may be our next manager"? Lallana is doing well at Liverpool, so why raise this? I would assess him in the same way any transfer target should be assessed.
  12. What an odd thread. The first sentence from the OP has no basis. "It's not impossible that ...." We could debate everything under the sun on that basis.
  13. ------------Stek Cedric Fonte Van Dijk Targett --------Romeu-Wanyama------------- Mane-------JWP---------Tadic --------------Pelle----------------
  14. Agree. But that is what Spurs do, isn't it. Make offer at 5pm on Deadline Day, so host club has no time to found a replacement. They need to stop doing it. Did it with us and West Brom.
  15. Depends if he makes any public statement in the next 10 days. If he does a Berahino rant, then boo him; if he says he was misquoted or blames the agent, then cheer him. Otherwise, no special treatment either way, just cheer all the team.
  16. 16:45 SAINTS SHUT UP SHOP Southampton have made the biggest signing of the day in Virgil van Dijk and director of football Les Reed has told us their business is now done.
  17. Yes please. Either him or Antonio. Won't happen though.
  18. FLAMINI SET FOR EXIT? Arsenal fans will want their club to bring in a few new faces today but there could be movement the other way with Mathieu Flamini possibly heading for the Emirates exit door, according to the Daily Mail. The report claims the Frenchman is surplus to requirements at the Gunners and can leave the club today. HCDAJFU?
  19. They might. I do believe the club won't sell anyone unless they think they can continue the policy of 'sell high, buy low'. But what if Spurs offer £30M on deadline day for Victor and they know they can get a.n.other at £8M to replace him, they may yet be tempted. And yet, I still believe the exit door is superglued.
  20. Was scrolling down to say exactly that. Poor start but if we can get a win on Sunday (we play Sunday) then we can start to look forwards! COYS. Yes, can't see how we can win right now, but got to be optimistic, right?!
  21. Press Conference : "Victor Wanyama not travelled with the team. The doctor says he has a stomach upset." I'm the most gullible fan on here, but even I don't believe that. Let's hope he can give us another season like Morgan did, then we can sell to the highest bidder. Don't want to lose Wanyama as well as Morgan.
  22. "Southampton News Conference at 16.30 hrs" - BBC Football page. Just standard press briefing before next game (tomorrow) or something to announce???? We will know in 75 minutes or more! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
