I can. It may not be to the value he is hoping for, but a contract at a lower rate or 'pay as you play' deal may be possible. I'm sure he would like his next contract to pay upwards of £65k pw, but hopefully he has seen that not many came in in the last year to take him even at 65k. Maybe, just maybe, he wants to knuckle down and play regularly, keep fit and add value to the team. Hey, I can be optimistic.

Anyone know much about gas fires. Old one was taken out as safety check revealed there was a slow leak. Now looking to get a replacement. My issue seems to be the height measurement. They all seem to be 585mm height (23"). Our 'hole' (clearly not the technical term) is only 510mm (20") and I can't find a fire to fit. Tried all the usual suspects - B&Q, Homebase, Wickes, ebay, gumtree.... Other than get a standard and saw 3 inches off the bottom/top ...anyone know how to source one?

Yeah, that's my conclusion too. The best form of defence is attack and Soares should have played. When we went 2-1 down (which i suggest wouldn't have happened had we been attacking still) we seemed to go ultra-defensive to try to keep MU out. It became attack vs defence. We have the firepower (Jay Rod, Juanmi, Long) to hurt the opposition late on, yet he seems to bring on water-carriers like JWP and Davis. We are losing points fromn poor selection and tactics.

Thanks for all your comments, guys. Just to clarify, the £10k budget would be to replace ALL the windows and doors, not just a couple of doors. Any front door over a grand is too much for us. Before reading this thread, I had booked an appt with Zenith and they are coming next week. Agree with JBS above, our experience with Anglian 15 years ago was that they quoted £30k on the day, so we booked with a local supplier who quoted £7k. Over the weeks before the installation, however, Anglian came down, in instalments, to £12k. If they had quoted that when they visited they would have got the job!!! All good stuff, 2 good posts especially, and one of you is getting a phone call.
