Could those of you want to discuss "how newspapers work" please take it offline. Back to Morgan, as above, one offer under £25M declined. ManYou not back with second offer, so now a stalemate. Poker face time. Problem is with no money in from this sale yet, and not being 100% certain it will go through after all, it may be considered unwise to bring in replacements. There are no other bidders so we can accept Man U offer now, accept whatever they offer on transfer deadline day (may be less then), or negotiate now for an immediate agreement to bring cash in. I favour option 3. -
At least you guys were asked to join. No-one from 'the dark side' has cozied up and asked me to join them. Boo hoo.

Glenn Murray for £5m ? Would be a good Pelle deputy. Lead the line. PAIR CHASE MURRAY Bournemouth and Norwich both want Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray to spearhead their attacks in the Premier League next season according to the Daily Mirror. Alan Pardew is understood to value Murray, who scored scored seven goals in 17 appearances in the Premier League last season, at around £5million,

Yes.

Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official
the saint in winchester replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
If we don't look for a second choice RB, then we will need to get Toby, or we are looking to the U21 and that is Bevis Mugabe. -
OK, but the release fee on Djuricic is €12M (£9M) IIRC. Would you pass on Elia but pay the release fee for Djuricic? And then if we did that and couldn't afford to buy Toby by a few £M because we were out of cash....would that be ok? I like Djuri and he may be worth the release fee, but getting Elia for €3-4M may be worth it, if it frees up cash to fund the Toby offer.

We thought it was Stevie G tapping up our players .... turns out it was Jamie Flippin' Carragher .....

Jamie Carragher @Carra23

Saw Nathaniel Clyne at St Mary's last season after a game & told him to sign for Lfc, he took the advice! I'm on the transfer committee now.

That's tapping up, right? He confesses. Can we sue for damages, or are we just accepting this as teasing banter? -
Yes, agree with that. I don't work too well in trial periods with companies in my work. There's a pressure to perform when you don't know the systems or best contacts. Over time it gets better. Hoping Elia will get better too and agree €5.5M was probably a bit high for what he returned. €3-4M would be the price tag I would have for him.
-
Seriously? Occult? Some sort of Mystic Meg advising them on player transfers?
-
This is the point. They don't value him as highly as we do. £25M-ish is the right price. But will any other club value him at that price? I fear if we do get the offer, he will be just a squad player at the Champions League clubs, anyway. Nervous times. If he doesn't go, we will have a disgruntled player on our hands.
-
SIGN HIM UP!!!!! The next Gerrard! Offer whatever it takes, up to €15M.
-
Bronko again! You tell us all about him, his strengths and weaknesses, and we'll let you know what we think.
-
Obviously from my location something "our" side of the M27 would be welcomed, but I can't see if happening now. Something around Stoneham was vaunted at the time of the St Mary's venture, but the club didn't go for it, so think we are entrenched in our current location now.
-
& Elia a couple of weeks ago. Something in the water at St Mary's? Everyone showing commitment. Let's hope Toby is signing more than a marriage certificate soon.
-
None of us know exactly what was agreed, but most of us assumed a £1.5M (or €1.5M, we don't know) was the compensation but this additional payment (as noted above) has been mooted. If Chelsea can't guarantee him a regular starting place, maybe they won't go ahead with the swap, or maybe they will do the swap, then sell him on. Until then, I'm still hopeful that somehow he will come back to us.
-
If reported news is correct, he has been offered to Chelsea in exchange for the LB Filipe Luiz and it is Chelsea who are taken their time deciding whether to make the swap. Maybe we could make contact with Chelsea and offer to buy him off them over the summer. We will have up to £3M from Atletico to start the fund. Maybe Chelsea will decide to loan him to us anyway. Most of their players get loaned out these days.

CONFIRMED: Cédric to Saints on four-year deal
the saint in winchester replied to JxgrSaint's topic in The Saints
Maybe we paid £3.5M for HER and Cedric is a bonus. She's right up my street (wish she was). -
The No9 spot - Demba Ba is keen to play in the Premiership again. Assuming wage expectation is reasonable, would see him a good target man, leading the line of 3 behind.
-
Goalkeeper option - with Cech almost certain to join Arsenal, looks like Ospina going out the door. Maybe a move for him, sure he would prefer us to Fenerbace? Or a cheeky bid for Cshzezny (sp)?
-
What about the Portugal U21 DM Carvalho? He looked good tonight, strong, ball winner. He would be good to get on board. And another Portuguese. Just need JoseFonteBaby to talk him into it.

If the category is sports presenters, then Olivia Wayne please. If we can pick weather girls, no-one finer than Lucy Verasamy. Don't know how to add pics, but if can someone can get them up for me, I would be more than contented. thanks
