We want a kitten too! They are hard to come by, you need to know their parentage and get them while they're very young. Yes, I am still talking about kittens.

Yes, I noticed that and remarked on it too. Was likely a penalty claim but I loved that he wasn't going to go down. After that, the football gods blessed. May 16th is St Sadio Mane Day forever more.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 6-1 Aston Villa
the saint in winchester replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Well, we've had worse days! If that's how we play when the opposition play a high back line, then bring it on. Key to success for me was that Pelle was up for it and occupied the Villa defence, leaving Mane and Long to pick them off. We were also going for goal, which although shots were blocked, it resulted in rebounds and ricochets and we have probably the two quickest reactors around! Good day. I was dancing in front of the TV so much my daughter left her science revision to see what all the fuss was about. -
You scare me s***less Bear. I'm having the locks changed tonight. Tomorrow me and the family are booked in for plastic surgery. I'm alerting Winchester police to look out for a bear on the loose.

The lady's not for turning. Just been to goals presentation where 4 Keys to Success discussed: 1. Know What You Want 2. Know Where You Are Now 3. Know What You have to Do to get to where you want to be 4. DO IT. Looks like Lou lectures and breathes this stuff. I vote for Lou as Poster of the Year. Poster that most intrigues me : SaintBletch - his icon infers a young rebel, his views and expressions are articulated and meaningful. He intrigues. Poster I don't have any desire to meet: Bearsy - sorry mate.

If you are at the hotel, Lard, check its him and ask him "is the purpose of your visit Business or Pleasure, sir?" If he says "Business" .....cup his head in your hands and kiss the top of his head with a fondness. As you gently release him, say "you little beauty".

Oi, get a room, you two.

Another hit! The Pap tribute thread.

Someone's going to have to be chosen to break the sad news to Lou. I think it should be Bucks Saint. They have "chemistry". -

Hence my question earlier on the Drinks thread....... May be a warning to us all not to get too abusive or worked up. Treat one another with respect, even the pillocks -
Hey everyone, why has Pap been banned? Posted this morning (see above), now shows as a banned substance. regards Sherlock Holmes

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25
the saint in winchester replied to Over land and sea's topic in The Saints
Looks like Mayuka has been given a compromise agreement. If we can't find a buyer/lease holder for Osvaldo, that may go the same way. -
Les Reed talks Jay & Clyne contracts.

Thier own, always. I work through an agency now, but they called yesterday to ask me to consider moving on to the next contract, as they have received their placement fee and now are looking for the next one. It's a 'no' from me. My existing employer deserves some loyalty. -
It's clear he would stay with us if it was his choice to make. But .. it isn't ... Atletico hold the cards, they own him and can sell him to whomever they choose to, or retain him. But it is nice to hear him staying he would like to stay.

Nah, that is Dave Merrington. He tells the story that he recommended Saints take a look at the young Lad Austin playing down at Poole, but that no-one at the club followed it up. Swindon did, the rest is history.

SAINTS v Aston Villa build up thread
the saint in winchester replied to Coxford_lou's topic in The Saints
LOL at nicendfriendly comment "to openly come out and state that your intention is to lose the game by playing Gazzaniga" I think I read Prowsey saying that Koeman had told them to turn in a decent performance/result "for the fans' sake". Too right. £35 for sleepwalk football is a bit much. -
"Apparently"? Do you have a link to direct quotes? Yes, I would have him back. Have to fit into our wage structure etc, but he's more than capable of doing a job for us.
-
In class maybe. But in form? Our existing front 4 couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo.
-
Me too. My suggested team would include a number from the U21 team.
-
Sherwood doesn't think that way. He said he was targetting 2 wins, and didn't even mention Wembley. Sorry to rain on your parade.
-
Agree. Similar type of player, the attacking midfielders and an unwillingness to shoot at goal, preferring to walk it in. A bit like us. I watched a whole game of attack v defence and then heard the Swindon v Sheff Utd score! I could have been watching a goalfest on SS2!!!

Apparently Gazza in goal v Villa and Kelvin in goal v Man City (300th appearance). Quotes from Koeman in his Dutch English, so must be genuine. -

If our team were a scrabble hand, I'd chuck the lot in and draw new tiles. I'm actually hoping we do have a mass sell off and start over again. Maybe next week I'll feel better, but who really deserves a place in the side right now? OK, I'll say Bertrand, Fonte, Schneiderlin .... As that banner at Newcastle last week said "we don't demand a team that wins, we do demand a team that tries". 71% possession, yet how many attempts on goal? Try to score!! -
Pretty representative and fair, having read their thread above. I even get quoted - my prediction! As they are reading our forum, let's lull them into a false sense of security. Ahem, apparently we have no goalkeeper fit this weekend, so Pelle is in goal. We have a sickness bug in the camp and may have no subs. And the side were spotted in West Quay earlier buying flip-flops and sun cream. There ya go Foxes, quote that.
