Hard to know who/where we want until spaces become available but ... GK definitely, probably a first choice (if rumours that FF is out until Mar-16 are true) RB (Clyne's place) CB (Toby's) MF (Morgan) ST (to compete with Pelle)

Yes and no. McIntyre is funny and a lot of people think so, as his shows sold out in minutes. Can't comment on Miranda Hart. To me, she is an actress on 'Call The Midwife', never seen her comedy series.
-
I would say 'that's your opinion, and not one that I share'. McIntyre's act is all about observational comedy, yes, so it's real life, and reflects what we all face but sometimes take for granted. Take his piece on online application and booking tickets for the cinema. We all face it, we all accept it, but he presents it in a hilarious way. I'd much rather watch real comedy than stupidity and obscenity. Expleting everywhere is not funny.

Flipping eck, you guys must be loaded. I spend 50 quid tops on a bike. But I'm not a serious biker, obviously.

Good! Good that it means he is doing well and attracting attention. However, not for sale. He is on the bus, he is in the project. Moving on up, moving on up!

London gatherings
the saint in winchester replied to Coxford_lou's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
I can make Thu 9th. Appreciate that is 48 hours after you meet, but if you have an absolute bender and can't move for 48 hours, I'll come and find you. -
Started reading comments from the start but soon came to the conclusion we all like different things in comedy. I would say McIntyre rules the world and bottom of the bin is Frankie Boyle. You can rank all others somewhere between those two extremes.

Maybe he meant no more marquis signings. Have we ever signed a marquis? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marquis_de_Sade

"No marquee signings this summer" Bale?

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I DON'T want to see him back this season, as we'll have bees round a honey pot all summer.

I'll be working in London the rest of the week. Where are we meeting to talk all things red and white? -
Lukaku AND Marillas both withdrawn from Belgium squad. Why do I think they will be fit as a fiddle for our game?!
-
How about last home game of the season to meet up?

Good news. So they will be off on loan by the end of the day? That's seems to be the pattern now. -
Are we going to have any players left?

It was simply that you were bolding your..... words.... like our "Swedonian" correspondent! -
Think they had just watched Everton get tonked 5-2 and thought 'that's a fun scoreline to use'. Yeah, can't see us scoring 5 now, even against a pub team.
-
As someone noted above, the show will re-appear in a similar format on another channel with the 3 amigos in place. The BBC SHOULD do the right thing, of course, but unless they can get a clause into the termination that prevents the guys from going to another channel, they may be shooting themselves in the foot.

LIFT WANTED FROM BRISTOL AREA FOR BURNLEY GAME (PLEASE)
the saint in winchester replied to Andy Haskins's topic in The Saints
Don't mean to sound insensitive, but I see its a direct train from Keynsham to Southampton Central. Maybe get a lift/taxi to your station, then taxi from Central to the ground? -
Yep, reminds me of the supposed Y2K bug all those years ago. A lot of fear and expectation coming up to it .... then complete non-event. Total cloud cover across Hampshire and Dorset on my commute. We watched the live coverage from Newlyn, Cornwall on the BBC site. That was as close as we got to it. Oh well, short wait now until the next one in 2090 (full eclipse), 2026 (partial)!!! (actual dates)

Even Lawro expects us to win! My old schoolmate Kevin Ashman from the Eggheads has us to win 5-2

Wow. I thought there was no chance of there being a pic of me, but entered my details and sure enough I am there, aged 11 !!! Give it a go. -
Top 5 schools ... no, your old schools ...
the saint in winchester replied to Patrick Bateman's topic in The Lounge
I did all that (school uniform, caps, Latin, prefects, the cane, detentions, standing when the master came into the room.....) but I have always been in an SO postcode. -
Reading that, you realise the impact it has had on the driver and his family.

I'm a bit confused by this thread. At first I thought we were voting for what we deemed to the be the best 5 schools in the area. But it seems to just be a list of where we all went to school? OK.... John Keble Memorial Primary, Hursley Peter Symonds Grammar Peter Symonds Sixth Form College Eastleigh Tech Southampton Institute of Higher Edjerkashun aka Uni of Southampton One day I will travel, honestly. Apparently there's a wide world out there.
