Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 0-2 Liverpool
the saint in winchester replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Only post #2 but basically that's the summary of the game for me too. If you don't buy a ticket, you can't win the raffle and yet again we had lots of possession but no end product. Pelle needs to be told he is supposed to be our main goal threat, not a conduit who knocks down, passes, chests down etc for others. It's YOUR responsibility to try to score goals Graziano! Do it! 90 minutes and Mignolet didn't have a save to make. Start shooting at goal. It worked for Coutinho! Ref was scandalous - we should have 2 pens and Mignolet sent off for handball. Can we refer it the referee's authority? -
TV GAME: Spurs at home - kick-off time changed
the saint in winchester replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Did they? Surely the Premier League decides when we play, not the opponents? How did that happen! -
Đuričić wants a permanent transfer to Saints
the saint in winchester replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Always good when a loan player publicly says he wants to stay (see how it's done, Toby! ) However he has hardly kicked a ball for us yet, so things must be bleak back at Benfica. That said, if he makes a contribution to us getting European football, I would be happy to see him stay. -
Lambert - his reception and farewell...
the saint in winchester replied to Saint86's topic in The Saints
Where do you that idea from? I maintain he would still have been first choice. Pelle is Koeman's choice and Koeman only came in when Lambert had left. Whereas ..... Brenda tells the story that Lambert KNEW from the interview stage that he would not be a regular first teamer, It seems that RL was prepared to give up first team regular football with Saints to take irregular games, sub appearances and cup games with Liverpool. His boyhood club came knocking, and that is what he wanted - to be a part of that club. I don't hold it against Rickie. I am sad that he just doesn't seem to get any game time at all now. But his family are settled up there and I can only see him going on loan to places he can commute to. -
Sorry, I feinted after reading that Lawro predicted us to win a game! As he is always wrong, his tip for us to win is bad news to me.

Yeah, it's offers over £8.3M. If the offer is above that, then Atletico will make money. Our option is to offer within £1.5M of any other offer. Then there is the wages issue. If Citeh offer him £80k a week, can we match that? Starting to look harder for us to win this battle.

Lambert - his reception and farewell...
the saint in winchester replied to Saint86's topic in The Saints
LOL. He'll get on, I'm sure of that. Brenda may be a numpty, but he'll give the man 5 minutes at the end at least to receive his reception. And Rickie will make a point of saying goodbye properly. Who knows, he may even drag Lalla with him saying "come with me, plonker, you can share in the adulation." -
Thanks for remeinding me I need to get the wedding video onto DVD! Places in the High Street do it. The one I just spoke to said £15 for the first hour, £5 extra for any hour or part-hour after that.

What Does Coxford Lou Look like
the saint in winchester replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Muppet Show
Oooh. Katy Perry - not bad; Julianna Marguiles - mamma mia, she has gone from dowdy in ER to stunner in The Good Wife. Coxford_Lou, you know I'm a fan anyway. -
European Football – Are we ready?
the saint in winchester replied to Weston Saint's topic in The Saints
Cool. Count me in for this trip. -
Yeah, interesting especially the comments about wanting to manage in England one day, and naming Vilhena as one to watch.

Koeman Manager of the Month January 2015
the saint in winchester replied to Saxon's topic in The Saints
Not sure about that line "starting to scare big teams". Appreciate English not his primary language - maybe "starting to gain the respect of big teams" would be better. We don't scare anyone, just that other teams seeing getting a point against us now as a good result. Two seasons ago, anything less than a win against us was seen as "dropping points". We have gained their respect, and that's a good place to be. -
Hell yes. I immediately googled and saw a pic - married to Daniel Craig eh? The pic I saw was better than Halo's which looks like she is trying to blow a bubble in her bubble gum! Now Pap and his ilk have carried out "due diligence" on you, I'm sure a lot more of us will be up for meeting with you next time. But now I have a mental image of you. I have odd mental images of a lot of posters on here which would likely be way off beam to their real image.

These compliments about Yoshi will have our Japanese poster Yuki salivating with delight. Yes, he has really proved himself this season, after some suggesting we didn't need him any more. We do, he is class.
-
Yes, that was a particularly tedious thread. Surely something he could sort out privately rather than involving us all in his house-hunting. So, Lou, if you won't post a pic, at least name a celebrity you have a passing ressemblance to. We're all hoping for Meg Ryan, but if it's Susan Boyle, we can cope with that. The reality we can cope with, the mystery is unbearable.

My mother always said "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" - or was that Bambi's mum? So my comment is ......... (silence)
-
That bit i agree with. The downside of being a Top 4 side is that other clubs now see getting a point at/against Saints as something to be celebrated. We are going to have to find a way of getting past stubborn defences. We don't look like we can now, so hope they have the chalkboard out at their secret location. Preferably not some of Van Gaal's diagrams though.

I was withholding the address from this board in case he doesn't appreciate people spying.
-
He didn't. He cleans the windows at the house, but the owners said they were renting it out so contact the tenants to agree approval to clean in future today. Not knowing who was moving on, he called today and had the shock of his life when Elijero Elia opened the door. Even better is he asked for a clean once a month (owners were on 10 week cycle!)
-
Elia is at home today! My son just cleaned his windows! Called me to say "you'll never guess who has moved into (house name withheld)?" I did guess ... eventually.
-
I wasn't planning to go to the games, bit of a rush after work for evening games ... but if Coxford Lou is still attending, it would be good to put a face to the name.

Saints Sign Filip Djuricic on loan from Benfica
the saint in winchester replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Hope that doesn't mean his head is already in Liverpool, and he'll be signing for them within a year. -
Clarke Carlisle admits he tried to kill himself
the saint in winchester replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
This is a very sad case, more serious than I was aware of. Agree with SOG, he needs help now. Such an intelligent and articulate guy, yet so ill. -
Exactly, nothing new. This was linked, by me, yesterday in 'So that's the secret of his success...' - mayonnaise on his chips!
