Stoke 2 Saints 3 - Match & Reactions
the saint in winchester replied to Wiggles31's topic in The Saints
So I'm not the only one that has noticed this? It's understandable that at 6'7" it's a long way down. As you say, hopefully he can have coaching on this. -
Saints vs Sheffield Utd (A) Capital One Quarter Final
the saint in winchester replied to Bearsy's topic in The Saints
Some of their fans have some odd ideas, from our formation to our recruitment policy. Posted 30 Oct 2014 07:01 re: Blades home v Saints. great tie against top side I am sure our 4-6-0 against their 3-1-6 will give them something to think about as said keep the price down and lets fill the lane e: Blades home v Saints. Saints preseve us from any further involvement in any other competition apart from the league and our promotion ambitions. Having said that I've a long standing grudge against Saints as they were the 1st club to employ that disabled people hating git, Glen Hoddle after he was sacked from the England job I think it's a great tie. Southampton lie in 2nd but we have them at home. West Ham are now 3rd and we beat them away. Never underestimate the home crowd. It's QF time. We're in the third tier. We were always going to get a challenging tie. Saints are the team of the moment. Far more interesting than getting Chelsea or Liverpool for me. -
Price is agreed, let;s do the deal. Everyone's a winner. Lovely jubbly. Sign Bertie, Toby Oldervirus; keep J-Rod and Morgan; tell Spurs we don;t want Kane or Townsend. Keep a place in the squad in case in AOC or Theo want to come home to SMS. Sorted.

Saints plan £10m bid for Harry Kane
the saint in winchester replied to DuncanRG's topic in The Saints
Suppose he is considered an upgrade on Gallagher? But in place of J-Rod, NO! We can't buy anyone from Spuds, as their opening line will be "only if we can have J-Rod..." -
Hey I'm sorry guys, I have to go to a wedding tomorrow, so there will be one empty seat. If they can play on Sunday this week, I'm there!

Oh heavens above. They will asking him about Van Gaal next!

Dirk Kuyt ?..... oh really?
the saint in winchester replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Oh boo hiss. I was getting my hopes up. Koeman out. (joking, of course) -
Liverpool's bigger problem is defence. Lovren has NOT sorted it out, and Mignolet is off form. But as some one above noted, it was Real Madrid and they won't be playing them every week.

Dirk Kuyt ?..... oh really?
the saint in winchester replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
I think that too. Hard working squad player, can be used just about anywhere. If the price was right, then why not. But I'm more hoping that Theo or AOC would be itching to come 'home' in January, now they are not first choice at Arsenal. I know Theo has been injured but he isn't going to displace Sanchez. -
I see they are home to Blackpool this Saturday. This is a chance for them to restore some pride. Fill up their boots, as the saying goes. If they can't win emphatically, I fear Reading will struggle. And I want them to do well, for Adkins' sake.

Katharina Please Hurry Up and Sell
the saint in winchester replied to Junior Mullet's topic in The Saints
We don't need to wait until May. I think we should be upstanding and recognize Frau Leibherr and her team have been very astute in the last few months and replaced what we thought was the finest with even better. They recognised Morgan's worth and convinced him to stay. The choice of manager has been top notch based on feedback from the players. The players they brought in have gelled very quickly. The quality of football has been amazing. OK, I am the first to say that choppy waters face us in terms of fixtures in Nov to Jan, but I am full of admiration for what they have built in the last 6 months. I always said - and posted - 'let's wait and see who they bring in before judging them' but I have to say I wasn't expecting to be at this level. I was setting my own expectation at a mid table finish, 11th to 15th, but come the end of January we may be looking at better than that. Well done to the management team. -
Have we ever met? Was that comment intended for me, or SW5 Saint? Or shall I report you?

Artur Boruc joins Bournemouth on loan
the saint in winchester replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Quick post, as I should really be working. David in Sweden summed up the situation very well. We rated Boruc and wanted him to stay, disappointed he doesn't want to. And I'll go against the tide and say I actually quite like Irene's posts. She is loyal to AB and fights his corner. I don't agree with everything she says, but its refreshing to see someone hold an opinion despite being alone in her view. Come on, Irene (to the old Dexy's song) -
Has everyone completed their tour of duty now? Anyone still to play? Just want to be reassured no-one picked up an injury.

Says the guy with "Location: Stalking Theo's Missus."

Artur Boruc joins Bournemouth on loan
the saint in winchester replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
It's a real shame. We need a quality back up GK, or maybe better phrased as "two quality GK to compete for the jersey". Yes, we got Forster but we are losing Boruc, so only a marginal improvement and no still missing a quality second keeper. We'll have to see if RK sells Boruc and buys again, or just leaves KD as the backup. -
Really? Chacun a son doux, as the French say. And yes, she was eye-catching, although I didn't stay in the room long enough to judge her utterances.

Agree. This man is still "in the game" so should be charged with "bringing the game into disrepute". And made unemployed. Agree with OP's 2 word summary - charmless psychopath.

How Nathaniel Clyne became a professional footballer
the saint in winchester replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I read yesterday Chambers was starting at CB. What has Roy said today then? -
Who says it won't happen. Reach for the stars, at least TRY to achieve the unachievable. Every great dreambegins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, thepatience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.

Flipping 'eck, Dec will be a tough month!

I'm not really into asses. The Eva woman mentioned above has a lovely ... er, lovely face ... and soft hands. Bu we need a physio, not a doc?
-
Think that has been revised to Dec or Jan.
