I was perfectly happy with Boruc and felt we needed a decent #2 goalkeeper. The lad at Reading was mentioned. Someone, Reed or Koeman, has chosen to go for a new #1 GK and I wonder if they talked it over with Boruc first. GK is not like other positions, where you need a squad to compete for a number of positions. It's one for one. In an ideal world, Boruc wouldn't feel sleighted and would take the Joe Hart stance of being prepared to compete for his place. But I do feel a little sorry for Boruc, although I don't support any strike or refusal to travel stance.
