Seriously, I was with a mate over last weekend, who used to live in Lincolnshire and he shocked me saying it was quite regular up there. He wasn't having a laugh, he was serious. Seriously, I'm being serious. (yes, I just read back my own post and noticed, seriously.)

I want to hear more about the "one or two crank applicants." Name them, Sir Les. Let us in on the joke.
-
After his performance in Soccer Aid last night, he can go straight into the first team to play!!! Still got it, a class act.
-
With 83% in favour of Koeman, just do it. You can't please everyone all the time, but you can please a lot of people (83%) this time!
-
Next week? Do it THIS week. Come on, put a smile on our face for the weekend.
-
No. I think the same way. I wish they had closed the deal quickly rather than interview a raft of other applicants. It gives a signal that we aren't overly sure of him. Shame. I've had interviews like that. Good feedback on my performance but told "they want to interview a few more candidates before deciding." I have never got the job then. They confuse themselves and turn to atrophy.

Good. I don't want them to talk to or consider Magath. The players need an arm around the shoulder, not midnight bootcamp training. Anyone but him.
-
Would agree with that.... but would he be prepared to leave his job coaching the Latvia national side to come and coach our under 19s, or similar? If yes, then agree, bring him in.
-
I would imagine whoever we appoint as No1 will bring his own No2. Keep gaining experience, Marian, your time will come.
-
Brede Hangeland released by Full Ham? Interested?
-
When is Crab Lungs going to post what he "knows"? Surely his house guests have gone now? Put up or shut up, Crabby. If you know something, share it, with proof.

who would be your new number 7?

Ronaldo ! You heard it here first. -
Gentlemen, we have a winner. Koeman will take them himself!

A couple of days ago I posted that very suggestion. If England have a poor world cup, I can see it happening - Woy to Saints, that is.
-
Fabianski signing for Swansea. That must mean Vorm or the other fella, Tremmel, is moving on. Either of those would be good backup for Boruc, all IMHO of course.
-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27565331 Some guy called Mayuka is keen to play for us. HCDAJFU?
-
Let's just wait until after the World Cup and be ready to catch Hodgson when he jettisoned from the England job. He loves Saints! Rumours abound he has asked for a season ticket!
-
Shola Ameobi released by Newcastle. A replacement for Guly, but one who can actually score goals.
-
Not transfer rumours but can't find the HCDAJFU thread ... these all released today * Shola Ameobi ? * Matthew Etherington? * Robert Koren? Only Shola for me, and as a squad player, a replacement for Guly, I guess.
-
That's not as daft a proposition as it sounds. He could very likely be planning exactly that.
-
Because its a sensible business model! If you can keep developing talent and then selling them for huge fees, reinvest a little allowing the new seedlings to develop, the club continues to grow and become profitable. Or would you rather Lallana, Shaw and Lambert stayed until they retired, so blocking the progress of the development squad. They have to fly the nest when they are ready to fly. We have younger mouths to feed.
-
Ranieri is now 62, not sure he would want to go anywhere but Italy now. Time to wind down.
-
Marc Albrighton just been released by Aston Villa. I always thought he was a pretty decent winger. HCDAJFU? Also read about Yaya Toure. Obviously, welcome here! But Yaya, get a grip, man. If my employer was to forget my birthday but still pay me £200k a week, I would not be thinking he is disrepecting me!
