Top 5 schools ... no, your old schools ...
the saint in winchester replied to Patrick Bateman's topic in The Lounge
Sorry, Lou. There- done! -
Oh I'm more than keen to meet you, Lou. You are one sassy lady, very articulate, you hold the gorillas on here at bay with reasoned argument and then, if that is failing, just shutting them up. You had me at 'hello'.

Like KRG, I'm a maybe. Also commitmentphobia. But unlike KRG, I'm fully mobile. Anyone know what the weather will be like? I don't like rain. I'm also socially awkward and a tad shy. So how will I know which group you all are? If I walk through the pub asking "where is Lou, I need to find Lou" I will get funny looks and pointed to the gents. What is the password? Saintsweb? Can someone put a sign up, or hold a sign up (like cab drivers do at airports) so we all know where to gather.

I would trial it, yes, for a season. See how it goes. And can we also have .... if we are bringing in logical changes ... if the GK is sent off, they can't bring on a sub GK?

I took it to refer to Danny Ings ... but I don't know Totton, or Ings' background.

Post-Match Reaction: Chelsea 1-1 SAINTS
the saint in winchester replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Bit of an odd suggestion IMHO that Forster should have come for the cross. Where was Fonte? It was his job to mark Costa and prevent the header. FF could have dived maybe, but it should have been prevented by the central defenders. -
Interested in Hernandez according to the Mirror

This is the point. At the start of the season, we were considered relegation candidates. Now we are a side looking at European qualification. He should consider us now. -

Related subject - Jordan Rhodes. Can Derby really take him on loan at this stage of the season? If Derby can, can't we make him an offer? Championship promotion hopefuls Derby County and Norwich want Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes, 25, on loan for the rest of the season. (Daily Telegraph) But Nottingham Forest also want Scotland international Rhodes and are keen to include an option to buy him for £8m if they are promoted to the Premier League. England footballer 'arrested over underage sex allegations'
the saint in winchester replied to Twiggy's topic in The Lounge
Yeah, I agree, Soggy, but maybe thats because I am SOG in the making. Can't judge by appearances only. Heck, teenagers have to produce ID to buy a lambrusco. I don't buy a defence of "well she looked 18". Caveat Emptor. -
I can't see him being interested in Tottenham. Europa League level. We are above them in the table, in any case. Man City would likely be an attractive offer and it is likely we will lose out on him ... but not to Tottenham.

Beachcombers is right ... Durham knows that would be a controversial suggestion so runs with it to get listeners engaged and calling in. No way would Mark Hughes be manager of the year. Koeman could be, if he takes us to Nirvana.

I hope it DOES go to court and he regrets his actions, and changes the way he lives his life. -

EXACTLY! If you check my posts on this subject, I am appalled at Mr Johnson, appalled at the attitudes of many on here. I know this is the way of the world these days and my conservative, christian views are not in tune with many. I'm with you on this, Lou. Shameful talk and conduct from many. -

Oh ok, so if a girl looks of age, then she's fair game? Come off it, Jeff! -
BIG GAP must be very popular, appearing in the Top 10 three times! Should be referred to the Monopolies Commission!

Objection, your honour! The above poster is not me and rarely makes an appearance on here, yet is now listed as a potential beau for Lou. Request re-write please!

Two points for clarification from last nights game
the saint in winchester replied to lifeintheslowlane's topic in The Saints
1. Completely agree. Doesn't encourage the attacker to TRY to stay on his feet if he is going to be penalised if he can't do so after all. 2. That's just plain wrong. They should be giving the ball back to us as we lost out in the first place. Let me raise another one that puzzles me. Two players tussle for the ball, referee deems an infridgement committed and awards a foul. Player 1 scoops up the ball and immediately kicks it at the opposition player, within a second. Referee decides player 2 has not retreated 10 yards and yellow cards him! I say "how the f*** was player 2 supposed to have retreated 10 yards in a nano-second!" Different case if he is genuinely standing in the way to prevent the free kick, but in most cases he is trying to get out of the way and (1) a football up his jacksee, and (2) gets booked for it! You get me? -
You've completely lost me. I need context, back story.

And therein lies the issue. Moral depravity. If he didn't know the girl, then they should throw the book at him. What about a little courting - chat over dinner, go to the movies, get to know each other before taking it further. But no, its straight into the sack, or the pub toilets, and we are discussing whether he thought she was of responsible age.
