Rooney seems to be an automatic choice in whatever position he wants to play, so others are pushed out wide or told to play supporting roles. That frustrates me. I think England play better without Rooney in the team. Yes, I'm sure Vardy wouldn't get a call up if Kane et al were available, but I'd like to see Vardy play central and running at players. We don't see a lot of that now. Example: Arsenal tippy tappy, through the eye of a needle ... (yawn)

Well, well, I couldn't believe Arsenal could be so limp again, but they were. Been listening to the commentary on Talksport, and have to say, for all his foibles, Stan Collymore is a blooming good summariser. Love his comments "Arsenal trying to thread it through the eye of a needle" and "they're playing 5 a side football on an 11 a side pitch!" That sums it up. They are woeful at going for goal. SO .... sweet for us. Hopefully now Citeh are guaranteed 2nd place, they may ease up, play a few peripheral players .... you'll be able to remind me of this post when they tonk us on Sunday!

OK, you're making me laugh out loud in the office and I am attracting attention, so this is my last post on this .... he shouldn't need to post an exhaustive list of those he would rather not serve. In this case, it seems the bakery's honest explanation of the reason why he would rather not bake a cake with a gay-supporting slogan that has landed him in trouble. He would have been better off not expressing his views. A simple "thanks for your call, but we're not in a position to help on this" would have been sufficient. That would have allowed the caller to move on to another cake-maker. Another example of "keep your views to yourseld, don't express them."
