    Adkins

I think NA may see Saints as simply a stepping stone to greater things. He's already being touted as a Premiership manager, if not with Saints then with another club when the Saints fans turn against him, as we usually do with our managers - we've got form on that over the last few years.
  2. Celtic's my second team after Saints. Best of luck for the rest of the season!
  3. I agree, it's as if the linesmen had it in for us. The scoreline was very flattering for Brighton and the game could easily have been 3-3. The interviews with Hammond and Adkins are great - both sounding firmly focused on bouncing back and winning the division, sounds like they've got the bit between their teeth and are confident they can do it. Come on you Saints!
  4. Fortunately the rest of the teams in the Championship are as bad as we are. But NA and NC have got their work cut out in January to get us back on track.
  5. I wonder how many of the penalties were for fouls on Rickie when he was in a goal scoring position? And how may penalties has Huselklip won and converted?
  6. Having watched the highlights, I think it's unfair to blame Guly for the goal. Lallana was man marking Ward when the corner came in and if you watch him, he turns and walks away after the first header, leaving Guly to cover both the man and the post.
  7. Not quite halfway through the 2011/12 season. We already have half as many points as QPR, who were champions in the 2010/11 season, and more than Preston, Sheffield United and S****horpe, who were relegated. Onwards and upwards!
  8. Thanks for explaining that!
  9. From Dave Merrington's commentary, I got the impression that we should have brought another winger on (i.e. De Ridder) for Chaplow instead of Schneiderlin. We had too many players playing out of position in the middle of the park and we needed more width. I wish we'd tried playing Lallana and De Ridder on the left and right and stayed with 4-4-2. Just have to trust Nigel I suppose that he knows what he's doing. He's done well enough up to now tactically to get the best out of the players. A glimmer of light in the darkness - sounded as if Lallana is getting somewhere towards back towards his best (could have scored if Guly wasn't in the way)? Now I'll shut up and let's hear from those of you who were at the game...
  10. You cannot be serious!
  11. Agreed. But it was his flick on that created the goal at Reading.
  12. Davis Richardson Fonte Hooiveld Harding De Ridder Cork Hammond Lallana Guly Lambert
  13. Goal B for me. Sublime finish.
  14. Chaplow and De Ridder not so good today
  15. Some of the Leeds players were rattled and frustrated and didn't know what else to do except get angry.
  16. Has the Sun hacked his phone yet?
  17. Thanks for the suggestion mate but I don't want to risk it with my lad.
  18. I'm after two tickets if anyone has any spare please.
  19. I don't think it's fair to blame KD for the Exeter goal. Their player was offside and KD wasn't sure whether to cover him or not. The lino decided the offside player wasn't interfering with play because he stopped and stood still. That hesitation cost us because Fonte was marking the other forward and got beaten for pace. A bit harsh on Fonte, because I thought otherwise he had a good game.
  20. From the OS photos, the Barney penalty booking decision looks hilarious. You can see the frustration on Barney's face, as he clearly is desperate to escape from the grasp of the Tranmere defender, run forward and kick the ball. I think he just gave up trying to escape from the guy's clutches and dived. I guess this random fairness element is why we all love football, it's a bit like life. But maybe be it will be Saints turn next time for the luck of the dodgy refereeing decisons to go our way. Onwards and upwards. Bring on Exeter (I think there's a practice session on Saturday).
  21. One too many games. A week to recover for the trip to Tranmere.
  22. I think it's actually the Sun that is up for sale.
  23. Perhaps we could get Gus Poyet to replace NA? The Brighton fans must want him out after losing against a crap team like Hartlepool.
