Post Match Reaction: Manchester United 1-1 SAINTS
Golac's Iron Gonads replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Look at those stats http://www.theguardian.com/football/match/2013/oct/19/manchester-united-v-southampton proud to be a saints fan said not so long ago that Lallana is better than Wilshere, still believe it. -
Serves you right for giving your money to the same people that hacked a dead girl's voicemail.

No, but convincingly see off Swansea and get something at Man Utd and I may have to think again. At the moment 6th-10th.

For future transfer activity, lets avoid Serie A...

A poor effort from the man who brought us 'rest Lallana and Lambert so they are fit for the play-offs'* when we were in 2nd place in Division 1 *pretty sure it was Lambert, I'd wade through his posts from the end of that season to find it, but I'm in a happy place at the moment. -

Wilshire played a fantastic ball against Stoke on Saturday, flighted a 40 yard cross field ball right onto Giroud's chests, unfortunately there was not another Arsenal player within 20 yards of Giroud and he was immediately surrounded by 3 Stoke players and lost the ball, Wilshire has no brain, I would take Lallana over him anyday

Man United weren't that good last year, they won the title almost by default as Chelsea and Man City were rudderless. Fergie knew they needed rebuilding and quit after fluking a title I think even he was surprised to win. Agreed though Stoke look to be playing football, which is a turn up because Hughes is a shocker and I thought he'd weave his Q.P.R magic up there, still time for it all to fall apart.

Rickie Lambert - England Qualifiers
Golac's Iron Gonads replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Wasn't me but I wholly agree with them. I'm watching him off the ball today (when not watching Rickie) because I don't know what people are seeing in him. I just see a shortarse who runs around the pitch pointing a lot and occasionally passing the ball sideways to an unmarked teammate stood 6 yards away and then pointing again in the direction he thinks they should pass the ball. He can't tackle, can't dribble and often positions himself with an opponent between himself and the man with the ball. So overrated, and I guarantee you won't be seeing the likes of Madrid or Milan coming in for him. -
I've rented about half a dozen properties, all bar one of the landlords kept the deposits for spurious claims. In the end I would take photos of the property when we moved in and take them to the small claims court to retrieve the deposit. I would start a small claim action against Lowe as he's probably too busy to appear.

Not many ball winners in that midfield. -
Will saints finisher above the gunners

I've been thinking about it since we signed Osvaldo, and mentioned to a bloke at work today that I really don't think we are far off Arsenal with their current squad. Their squad is wafer thin and heavy on creative players. I really don't rate Wilshere, I've never seen him have a great game (though I missed the Barca game everyone seems to talk about). Don't think we will finish above them, but as someone posted above there are plenty in our first team that would get in theirs, and you couldn't have said that too often in the last 25 years. Who of their last starting line up would you want in our team to face Sunderland? Szczesny Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Gibbs Walcott Ramsey Rosicky Wilshere Oxlade-chamberlain Giroud I wasn't impressed with Arsenal at ours last year and think we were unlucky not to turn them over. I think they are way behind Spurs now and will could possibly finish as low as 6th. -

No, I didn't. Did anyone? We all know the world is ****e, thanks for reminding everyone, again.

Nope, smart player with a brain. He's skilful, doesn't rely on speed to beat players, can pick a pass and more importantly he's intelligent enough to adapt his game. If he can stay injury free next year he could be sensational, would like to see him improve his shooting though. No more posts left, cheerio. COYR
-
He doesn't look or seem bright enough to be coached. A couple of times he could have played Kone (my man of the match, ideal replacement for Lambert) in, but chose the wrong option (often trying to beat another man or shooting from a poor angle), 22 seems a bit old to start having traits coached out of you, and as I said he looks like one of the players not intelligent enough to have those traits coached out of him.

Exactly the opinion in my household. The 3 touches he needed to get it on his favoured foot early in the 1st half when clear through on goal had me groaning. Bloke looks brain dead, and I'll take bets on him plying his trade in the championship within 2 years.

7 pages on a game that will have no bearing on our season.

I'd remove and eat my own testes for a FIFA World Club Championship final. -

St Marys - worst Premier league stadium?

When the author is that fit they can write what they want about Saints, don't bother me none. -
Blokes a tosser in both senses, he tossed the bottle because he was getting strife about being slow and fat, and he knew he was. He simply took his frustrations out on a bottle, now he's claiming racist abuse, I'm sure we've all heard Guly called a black brazilian whatever? No me neither, what about Fox being a Jock? Nahh never heard his nationality being brought up when slated. Boruc is a loose cannon, lost his rag, threw a bottle and now is trying to make an excuse, we'll be hearing about his emotional journey and Pochettino being his rock before long. Tosser.
