  1. That’s kind of the problem. He saw it entirely as his. And, as egg and plenty of others have either seen or heard first hand, the guy was extremely driven but also extremely flawed. He kept banging on about Saints living within their means whilst racking up huge debts. He was tolerable while there was a bunch of millions behind him to satisfy his thirst, and he oversaw some very good decisions by the club in terms of managers and progress. But it’s undeniable that the geezer was an absolute fucking lunatic. He oversaw a couple of the best seasons I’ve ever supported Saints though, so fair play to him.
  2. I guess we’ll see what happens with the game against the Shrews. What I found interesting about calling this one off was this quote from the EFL. We had injuries contributing to our game being called off against Newcastle, now the health of regular club staff and it’s supporters gets assessed on whether a match should go ahead. The system is ripe for abuse. "Having now fully reviewed the circumstances involved, the League has accepted Liverpool's request after determining, albeit reluctantly, that a postponement was the only option as the club looks to mitigate against the further risk of infection amongst its squad and staff alongside ensuring public health was protected by not travelling from Liverpool to London."
  3. Yes, this is the thing that makes the MK situation so abhorrent. Wimbledon got completely fucked over, they reformed, and they’re now back in the same league as MK with a new ground. MK will always be seen in a negative light and it doesn’t help their long term cause at all that they basically stole a team. If I came from MK I’d be embarrassed to support them. If they’d have risen through the ranks it would have been seen as an amazing success story. The biggest windup IMO is that they call themselves Dons. Just call yourself Milton Keynes and get on with your plastic life. Keeping the Dons name is an absolute insult to Wimbledon.
  4. Thanks for the PM. I have to say it is indeed an extremely interesting one. I’ll say no more on the matter 👍
  5. You don’t have to list U21 players in the main squad,so if you have u21s they can be included in addition to the main squad. Which is why a PL side should never not have enough eligible players due to injuries, albeit you have to drill down to the reserve/junior sides.
  6. I don’t think fining them is going to solve much.
  7. I really don’t understand how injuries can contribute to a game being called off. COVID cases, yes, I totally get that. But the statement specifically mentions covid and injuries. Injuries should surely not be a factor?
  8. Nonsense. Keep it going ffs. MLG refusing to admit he’s wrong yet again, Turkish dropping the Mr Wrong image, everyone’s favourite forum pink jacketed militant getting at it, what’s not to enjoy? Keep up the good work one and all! Less gifs though please MLG, they’re not the best.
  9. F365 forum has got this poll running on whether it was a foul or not. Mostly neutral fans. I’m surprised so many think it’s a foul but there we go
  10. Lovely finish though…
  11. Of course, gloveswoman and glovesperson are equally valid descriptions 👍
  12. It’s a disgrace that was given as a foul. Even worse that VAR didn’t get it. I like Fraser and I think he’s our best glovesman this season, but that was dreadful and we really got away with one.
  13. Correct, by the rules he made no attempt to play the ball either in the first passage of play (outside the box) or the second (inside) so it should be a red all day long IMO.
  14. Bbc match report also says no yellow given.
  15. 😆 what is going on?! Come on !!
  16. I must admit, I do find it a little strange that we don’t often get a percentage of people in hospital who are/aren’t vaccinated. Chris Whitty included it in a brief recently but imo it should be a regular stat.
  17. I had mine yesterday and the nurse who gave me the shot said I didn’t need the 15 minutes and they weren’t recommending it, just said maybe if you’re driving to give it a few minutes before you get behind the wheel.
  18. Just quoting that. Not sure if you’re aware but Sue has got you on ignore. Not many people realise it tbf, she doesn’t mention it very much (about as often as she doesn’t mention playing football).
  19. Anyone normal would just say “dammit, autocorrect” or MLG’s regular go-to when he has made a mistake, “it was a typo”. Not MLG this time. The guy has historically performed amazing levels of mental gymnastics to not have to admit culpability about the slightest non-event. To be honest though; it’s what makes him, well, him. And causes no end of hilarity. Never change pls.
  20. Just had my booster, looking forward to the lottery of after effects 😬
  21. Need to install some chairlifts pronto.
  22. As all British folk should rightly do.
  23. I have my booster booked for 5th Jan, after tonight’s announcement from the fat slob I thought I’d see if I can bring it forward. Spent 25 minutes in a queue on nhs online only to be told there are no appointments available. Quite clear that this is just another example of deflection. Set a target which sounds good but don’t put a plan in place to actually achieve it. Fat cunt.
  24. It’s not having jabs that is any sort of problem. My third is lined up for Jan and I’m trying to get it quicker. Have will be a fact of life. my FFS comment was because of a couple of news comments I read whereby some in France are talking about keeping restrictions in place until jab 4. If the science supports that then that’s what it will be I suppose.
  25. France are already talking about jab 4 ffs.
