  1. Not much in it. Shaw was on top form today, as usual. But I thought Baines was decent too. Different types of player but both two very, very good left backs. And if Luke Shaw doesn't go to Brazil instead of Ashley Cole, it'll be a travesty.
  2. To be fair, that's my favourite winner in SaintsWeb Bullsh*t Bingo.
  3. Nah, don't buy that one. We painted the away concourses. What more do they want FFS?
  4. My Jack Cork manloveometer just went up another notch. He's so dreamy.
  5. Remember when you used to get indirect free kicks in the box for obstruction? What happened to that, yo?
  6. Definitely agree with that, the corporate boxes are a bit outdated and in need of a rethink. And I'm not sure if the whole Mike Channon suite refurb really works well.
  7. Two at least are those that you've seen given, Stones was a lucky lad.
  8. We haven't had an attendance thread for a while..... 31,313 today at St. Mary's, which means our average attendance to date is 30,147. With a sell out against Man United a given, we'll likely average just under 30,250 for the season, about 500-600 down on last season. I still consider that a good figure, but given we've had our highest finish in 10 years and earned an almighty amount of admirers for our style of play, one has to ask where the numbers went. Prices aren't coming down next season, I think we can guarantee that (as season ticket prices have risen). So what more can the club do to attract more fans? Season 2003-04 in the PL saw an average of 31,717, a whole 1,500 up on this season. Any chances we can hit those heights next season?? The corporate areas are certainly a good place to start.
  9. Impressive stats and a very impressive season. Hopefully we'll surpass the 52 points, 2 tough games to end with, United especially will be buoyant. It will be very interesting to see what happens in the summer. Rupert Lowe took a huge amount of flak for not pushing on from an 8th place finish. What will we do this time round? Interesting times.
  10. It seems a long time since last April when he was signing a new contract and saying he wanted to finish his career with Saints.
  11. Legend of a player, I'm completely unashamed of my spot of man love for young Jack. Future England star with Gerrard and Lampard out of the picture.
  12. Brilliant performance all round, totally dominated from start to finish. Clyne and Cork stood out for me, especially Clyne.
  13. Well this thread probably seemed a good idea at the time. Prat.
  14. Either that or he is actually preparing to become our back up to Shaw. Now is the time to blood one or two youngsters, the season is done.
  15. Reading or Brighton are a decent away day, but I don't much like either club. If QPR jettisoned Redknapp then them, but until they do I hope they fail. Has to be Wigan I suppose, and Derby would be my least favourite option.
  16. Season ticket, not going tomorrow. Can't be arsed. Said it before but here goes again. I find an aspiration for 6th to be boring. A very good, in fact exceptional performance this season. But, since April, dull. I expect abuse, but meh. Edit: And before the dribbling morons like adrainsfc come calling: Yes, I've had enormous fun this season watching Saints. I've watched us play an amazing brand of football. Some of the games I've seen have been utterly brilliant. But, and I realise this is a minority opinion; I don't get the aspiration of finishing 8th and being delighted. I know it's an achievement. It's to be lauded. I just get to the point that I'm already finding it boring. I'm a rarer breed who actually enjoyed every day of our Championship days, even when we were sh*t. I want SFC to win something, even if its something as lowly as the JPT. Top ten finish = success? Not so much. To each their own.
  17. Calum Chambers says f*ck you.
  18. We don't wear a plain red shirt. Never have.
  19. The sash kit and the Rank Xerox were our best and most popular kits in the last 50 years. Neither of them were stripes.
  20. That bloody Mourinho. What does he know? Nothing.
  21. He'd be a fool to return, he'd risk ruining his legacy. At the moment the whole Moyes debacle is the best thing that could have happened for the Ferguson legend. It's showing that SAF really did a phenomenal job there, but also that he got out at precisely the right time. And it's not as if he needs the money.
  22. Yeah, job done extremely badly. Martinez is showing that Moyes was actually holding Everton back, they've pushed on this season and play a much better style of football. Moyes would completely ruin any semblance of style within the team. Christ knows what wages he'd demand as well.
  23. I think the idea of getting a ST is that you go to every games (or most) with the same bunch of mates. That what I do, anyway. And I still don't agree with you. My ST means that I get priority for myself, I get the same ticket every week. If I have other non ST mates who want to come to a game then I think it's unreasonable and unfair that I get to use my season ticket for that. It's not flawed logic at all, in fact, it's very much the way it should work IMO.
