Nowhere near it for me. Saying that he’s been better than any of KWP, THB, Downes or Adarma (with his 25 goal contributions) is mad. Bazunu’s distribution is excellent no doubt and he’s showing signs of improvement, played well today and kept us right in it no doubt. But he’s down that list for me, we’d be noticeably worse off without any of those I listed. Not sure I can say that about Baz. Not yet.

Martin said in his post match press conference that Rothwell will play. I’d have thought the intent would be for Downes and KWP to be rested, but apart from Holgate we don’t have a spare RB. Not even sure Holgate will still be with us by this time next week, so KWP might have to play. Lumley, Stephens, Meghoma, Charles and Charlie surely will start. Reckon Sam Amo gets a go too, can’t see Downes being included. Out of that it’ll be interesting to see which first teamers get included.

That does seem too good to be true. Just checked and some bookies are still offering 10/1, so effectively 3/1 on us finishing top two. At that value I might have to see if there’s some free bet signup deals to be had.

what’s each way, top 3? If so how the flip did you get 12/1? I can understand those odds for finishing top, but not for top 3.

Not sure if Rusty agrees with you! In his presser he joked that, when he saw Flynn lining one up, the manager and coaches were just thinking “don’t”.

This is the bit that really concerns me about him, it’s like he’s playing a game of how close can he let the attacker get to the ball before he passes it. Hes not good enough to take the risks that he takes.

From Martin’s press conference above he said Rothwell will be playing against Watford. Definitely looked rusty so game time will do him good.

Jack Stephens plays like our defence did right at the start of the season. Just tries to be too clever on the ball, playing silly balls or holding on to the pass for too long. And out of possession he’s not sharp enough to give confidence that he’ll win it back. In hindsight, good for him to get 30 minutes of game time and plenty of things to work on. But it was hardly a confidence inspiring shift and we looked a bit lost when THB went off. Stephens is doing nothing to warrant a starting place and, having made him skipper, Martin has boxed himself in a bit. THB and Janny B for the foreseeable please.

Ta, thought it was something like that but couldn’t put it together.

Trying to work out what the saints fans were singing for the last 5 minutes?

Really quite shocking at the back!

Hot knife through butter, terrible defending.
-
Because you’re a Saints fan.

Excellent first half. Our defence shows that they can be brittle, for their goal Swansea had a 3 on 2 on the counter. But you can criticise the overall performance, totally dominant, gave away a crap goal then went up the other end and made amends.

Get in small boner.

Watching the replay Armstrong should do better with his finish.

Should be two there, well done keeper.

This explains a lot.

In English?

Neither, I’d have thought. Just an agreement in principle is my guess, we’ve agreed a deal for the season. We don’t want him, Everton definitely don’t want him, this seems like a compromise agreement that hit the skids.

Dirk and grumpy will get their life’s work though. So small wins 👍 like you say, I personally don’t think it’ll make too much difference but if it gets through then it’s a massive win for them so we can get beyond that at least.

Yeah, about that......

This has been done before. Brighton give the away fans an end behind the goal. Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool all have ends that in the stand behind a goal ( but due to stadium size the away fans contingent doesn’t encroach so far along the end towards the goal as is prevalent at St Mary’s). Aston Villa always used to be behind the goal, opposite end of the ground to the Holte End. Fulham do pretty much exactly what we do at CC. Those are just off the top of my head, the idea that Saints are the only club that have seating arrangements like ours is daft. The issue is not the club, it’s that the saints fan chose to make the Northam the main singing end. If a big home Northam end comes about then great, I’m sure it’ll be alright. I don’t think it’ll be the hallelujah moment some seem to think it will be though. And in any case, the Dell always had distinct areas of the ground where the singes were, it was never all concentrated in one place. The Milton started as the main, under the east was lively, but towards the end of the Dell time the Archers was probably the main singing end.
