He really is. He’s an absolute mad man, but at least he’s getting his fix of being an online obnoxious prick somewhere else.
-
He’d be sailing this dirty old town back into the Premier League.
-
Or another theoretical…keep Che, sell Tall Paul, buy Rod Stewart. Nah, far too optimistic that.
-
The talk was about KWP.
-
2 years left on his contract, goes to summer 2025.
-
Saves on the cost of a drone.
-
Yep, it’s an “If”. An alternative if. If he’s being signed as a replacement for an outgoing Tall Paul…..
-
Me too, but that’s not the answer to the fantasy theoretical question.
-
Me too! Wishful thinking gets us nowhere 😉
-
You get ABK if the squad stays as is.

This. 100% would prefer what we’ve got to any more selling/replacing. Can’t believe there’s anyone (sensible) who would prefer otherwise. But the reality is that it’ll be the latter, so we’ll see what happens.

He’s started all 3 of their league games. The only shame for him is that Barca aren’t at Nou Camp this season due to refurbs, they’re playing at the old Olympic stadium.
-
I posted an article very recently on here, Saints looking at Drameh as a future option, he’s out of contract next summer so (according to Fabrizio Romano) they were prepared to wait until then to potentially pick him up on the cheap if the asking price is too much. I wouldn’t have thought for one second he’d be a KWP replacement. Bree, maybe.

Hopefully the medical staff will be up at the quack of dawn to get it done early. I wonder what the bill for him will be. Hopefully he can get a good partnership going with Dom Mallard. Coat status: being fetched.

😆🤪 The realism of Danny Ings being on £120k a week and having two years of his contract remaining.
-
IG certainly comes in handy for a gentle bit of stalking 😉
-
😆 now there’s a blast from the past!
-
Well I’ve not seen him say that, but if he did he’s off beam. I don’t know if there’s been a club in history who have been relegated from the PL and kicked off the next season with a stronger squad.
-
Sorry, just to get some measure of expectation here…..despite relegation, you’re expecting Saints to have a stronger squad this season compared to last season?
-
If that boat ain’t broke, you should consider breaking it.
-
I thought Leeds was quite nice! Fuck knows what he’d think if he got given a tour of Southampton’s suburbs…
-
I thought I’d read before that Drameh was a bit more of a long term prospect rather than this season, and we were happy to wait for him until January or next summer. Think I read that somewhere. Edit: here it is, supposedly from Fabrizio Romano, says Drameh is out of contract next year and we may be happy to wait. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/cody-drameh-news-daniel-farke-on-players-future-at-leeds-united-southampton-interest-emerges/

FFP can only be amortised over 5 years, that particular loophole was closed fairly recently (after Chelsea started giving out hyper extended contracts).

Just been looking at it, confirmed my memory that (last season aside) Saints haven’t been very big at all in January window incomings. Last season saw the Tall Pall fiasco et al but then you’re back to the Guido Carillo debacle for much else before that. Then going backwards Manillo Gabbiadini (good), Charlie Austin (meh), Ryan Bertrand (very decent), and Vegard Forren (anonymous) are the main signings we’ve made since promotion to the PL in 2012. So, a mixed bag, I’d say punctuated by how few players we brought in especially the 4 years post 2017-18 when we brought nobody of note in.
