MLT didn't have to work for his goals - he was THAT naturally talented. Rickie is a good footballer, but a lot of his game has been taught to him - eye for goal, work rate, positioning etc. MLT was taught as most footballers were taught, but had the natural skill to elevate himself above others. He didn't HAVE to do any work - he was born awesome.

I know part of Pardew's job is to give interviews, but I do know that if I were the manager, after that refs display, I'd have got my assistant to answer the questions in case I hit the interviewer.

Of all the clubs that could lure him away, I wouldn't bet against West Ham doing it - I do hope, however, they **** off and leave him alone. He's ours, and he's doing a great job.

Has he even had a poor game? I can't think of one. He's immense, Premiership quality. He wins headers, he reads the game superbly, he's brilliant on the ball, and I'm sure Davis farts a lot less now he had Jose in front of him. We MUST keep him - he's key to our promotion push next season, and replacing him, with a player of his calibre, would be nigh on impossible.

I don't mind James, but I did think he was poor when he came on. Wotton wasn't brilliant, but tonight wasn't the worst I've seen him play. What suprises me is, in a game we needed to win, Pards opted to put James on for Wotton when attacking options were there on the bench. He's still a squad option, but we definitely need a quality CM to compete for a starting spot with Morgan and Hammond, and a quality No 1 right back.

If we win all our games, we'll have won 7 in a row, which is very impressive. I still don't think it will be enough. Huddersfield IMO will get more than 5 points, and we'll just miss out. It's a shame, but we can all have a relaxing summer and look forward to next season. Will we win all our last games? Well the Gillingham game worries me - they beat Leeds well at home, and are still fighting.

Potentially the last game I can get to this season unless I can persuade the other half to come and see Carlisle on Saturday. I must say I've had immense fun this season. I've been to games as much as possible this season when work allows, something I didn't try doing much in previous seasons, and have thoroughly enjoyed my trips down from Surrey, even when I've been on my tod. My first game of the season was to see the fateful home loss against Brizzle Rovers, and irrespective of the scoreline, I was hooked and couldn't believe I'd put off going for so long. (I used to have mild agoraphobia but I'm ok now. :-)) Following this game I'll have been to 12 in all comps, and of course I will be dropping my past plastic status to continue to go to games forever more - even if that means costing me an arm and a leg. I'm proud to be a Saint, I've been proud to be a Saint for 21 years, and I'm now proud of myself to have got over past phobias and go. Oh, and special mention goes to the M3 - 4 sets of average speed cameras was a joke. Thank you for completing works and getting rid of some. I want NONE next season! :-) So to todays game, an enjoyable romp in the late evening sunshine. Oldham fans must be fearing the worst, I can't think that any other result will happen than a win for us. Will it matter? Well yes, even if we can't get enough points, it's beneficial to finish the season in fine form. Antonio is still playing for a contract, though I feel he's done more than enough, Pardew is still fighting to stay as manager next season (he will be unless someone pilfers him), and the rest are all trying to beat goalscoring records. As for Morgan, it's a blow, but James who I'm assuming is now fully fit an slot straight in. Other than that, keep it the same, but if we don't sign Papa in the summer, and I hope we do, then I hope he plays today so I can see him one last time. As to the score? A comfortable 4-0, and I'm being very restraining when I give that score. Could be more...

+1, would never diss a Saints player while they play for Saints - although currently Pulis gets the laughs as he's not technically playing for us.

+1. I quit smoking 9 days ago, and it's going well so far. Yes it's at the early stages, but I'm hoping it lasts forever. I quit smoking not because I want to, I like smoking, but I'm doing it for health and finance issues. I don't want to die young, I don't want to miss my future children growing up. I don't want to spend a fortune on buying smokes. However, if I don't get free NHS now that I've quit, there's no point in quitting. Also, I could just "say" I've quit smoking to get NHS care. There are too many ifs and buts.

Occassionally, I'd love to go on it. Free holiday, and you can ***** about people as much as you like. That bird from Scooch would get it too.

I've loved this season, going to SMS as regularly as possible, something I will continue to do forever more. (Costing me a mint). I actually enjoyed the season 94/95 we had under Alan Ball, MLT's best season IMO.

Follow the rules and they wouldn't be in this situation. Typical Pompey though - I bet they wriggle out of it somehow. In a way, I kinda hope they do - I would lol at a brand newly put together Championship side getting thumped by Kaunas or someone.

Kudos to anyone in the military. I couldn't do it. I was born lazy, I'll die lazy, and, for whatever reason, we all get called up to fight a war, I'd be dead within a day. That said, you shouldn't pick a job if you can't do it. When I started working for LUL, we were told that shiftwork would effective ruin our social lives. They weren't wrong. We also get people complaining that they should work Sundays because of religion but, again, they were told when they took the job that we have to work Sundays. Harsh but true.

About 16 months premature! FWIW I think the squad has been built with the Championship in mind - we'd need a good RB, a strong CB, another good CM, possibly a left footed LM and I sometimes wonder how long Kelvin could go on, despite his relative youth compared to some keepers...

I saw him in the 5-0 drubbing of Huddersfield (how we could use on of those right now...), and he was immense. He was the creativity I felt we were missing earlier in the season, and offers a bit of pace which we were lacking when Waigo and Antonio were out of the side. I saw him on Easter Monday against Leyton Orient and thought he was poor. Irrespective of that, I still think he is a very good signing, and could be our "Wes Hoolahan" next season.

We should DEFINITELY keep Antonio. Even in the time he's been here, he's improved. When he came, he was roughly 50% hit, 50% miss. I'd say now it's more like 75% hit, 25% miss. AND he'd be available on a free. Can't say fairer than that.

Incorrect. The best rescue operation of the season was being bought by Mr Liebherr. :-) It was pretty last gasp stuff too...

Promotion or not, it's been a good season IMO, and hopefully we can top it next season.
