  1. Tis a shame, I would have taken him to the World Cup based purely on his experience and ability to play in many positions BUT England are lucky that they have many good right midfielders. If fit, Lennon, Wright-Phillips, Bentley, Walcott, Milner, Young and Puncheon will all contend that spot.
  2. It shows the price of failure and how important the Premiership is to people. If, or rather when, we get back to the Premiership, I hope we have some seriously good investment, if not the current set up, and use it wisely, because the only way to become an established force in the Premiership is to have money and use it wisely. I didn't mind Brown, Hull have made a stupid decision, although I notice that they've only put him on gardening leave, so perhaps WHEN they go down, they'll re-appoint him?

Ooh now there's a debate! With Barnard reported in the media as having joined Leeds before we signed him, it would have been interesting to see which had been the better striker. Both are goal poachers, Barnard is hard working whereas Beckford has the swagger. Now we have Barnard, I'm pleased. Beckford seems the sort to cry if he doesn't get his own way - Barnard seems an honest, down to earth bloke. Not only did we sign Barnard, a player that could potentially have sealed promotion for them, but they ended up with a "past it" Dickov. Charlton are my new 2nd favourite team...
  4. I agree with this, but Thomas is a ****ing nutter and gives all his heart when he's on the pitch. When I've seen him play this season at right back, especially in the JPT, he's more than held his own in that position. Yes, he's slow compared to Semi, and doesn't offer the same getting forward, but I know if I were a left winger, I wouldn't want to come face to face with Thomas. Having said all that, Pardew could plump for James at right back if he's fit again.
  5. There has to be an ugly one in a friendship, and Holly Willoughby is no *****r.
  6. League games I meant, but good spot! So you'd rather win the JPT Final than win all our remaining League games?
  7. Norwich champions (which should ensure I get the "good" loving) Charlton automatic (because I'd bloody love it if Leeds didn't make it) Play-off teams below 3rd as they are - anyone to win but Leeds.
  8. Mine were hand delivered by my friendly post mistress. She asked why I was so excited, and I told her it was because I had tickets to the JPT Final at Wembley. She said that she didn't realise any Saints fans lived in Egham, and that she herself was a Saints fan. I remarked that she had incredibly good taste, to go with her stunningly good looks. She was most flattered by this and inquired as to how many tickets I had purchased. I told her that I had two, as my ex-girlfriend accompanied me to St Mary's for the area final at home, but that, since I had split up with her, I had one going spare. She begged me for the available ticket, and I told her that it would be my pleasure to let her have the spare ticket, as I would be privileged to be sitting next to a woman of overwhelming gorgeousness at the nation's biggest venue. I told her that she need not pay me, but she insisted that I take something in exchange for the ticket. We then went into my house for the most unbelieveable session of rampant foreplay and sex that I have ever experienced, and she told me that she would personally hand deliver all my post in future, as I was "incredible in the sack". I not have a terrible rash on my ****, and she's nicked my wallet, but I don't care, because I'm going to Wembley. (Umm, no, I don't have my tickets yet. :-()

It's ******, yes he scores goals, but so does Lambert, Holt, Barnard, Jackson etc etc.... Nothing seperates him apart as being better than other players in this league. Being part of a successful side has helped the judges see him as a God, but it's much easier to get goals in a quality team than it is to get goals in the poor team. Without bias to Saints players, this should've been Hoolahan's.
  10. :-D No, I'd receive much more punishment than a broken toe, I can assure you! (Don't run indoors, rookie mistake...)
  11. Win all our games. Fate will decide whether we make it or not - but winning all our remaining games would a) appease Cortese and Liebherr, b) Ensure Pardew has another crack of the whip next season and c) give us a good platform in terms of form with which to start next season on. I hate to say it, but I would swap a JPT final win in exchange for us winning all our remaining games...
  12. I broke my toe today. I need some cheering up. Saints 6 Swindon Town 0 would do it. :-D (Sod the scoreline, any Saints win would do)
  13. Rule One may be granted pending decent booby-showing pictures. She's bringing her new Aussie fella so I'm going to have to play this one coyly.
  14. My other half never got on with this girl, so she's not invited! (Plus it's a Tuesday night and she'll be working until after I get to the pub. :-D) Yes, she's chuffed we did Norwich a favour today, and I'm chuffed that they did us a favour too!
  15. One thing is for sure - if we do scrape into the play-off spots, football pundits the country over would surely brandish us the greatest third tier team the world has ever seen. (Especially as most of them have already written off our chances, God I'd love it...) Add to that the fact that the form team usually does well in the play-offs. We'd have to be in some scintillating form if we did make it...
  16. Sadly, on this occasion, I choose drinking with her. I will get her really drunk, take a photo of her norks, and email it to SMS so they can put it up on the big screens. (Or I'll be really selfish and just enjoy them myself...)
  17. You do realise you wouldn't be able to see the game...
  18. Annoyingly, I can make the game on Tuesday, I don't have work as an excuse. However one of my friends is back from Australia, possibly the last time I'll ever see her, so my hands are somewhat tied. (In fairness, she does have massive knockers.) I will be cheering doublely hard versus Hartlepool the following Tuesday.
  19. Can we clone George Best?
  20. Anyone else think it'd be funny if Norwich and Charlton occupied the auto spots at the end of the season? :-) God I wish I had been there today, but in hindsight I'm bloody glad I wasn't! 1-0 over Leeds is a fantastic result, and with recent wins over Huddersfield and Norwich, we're fast becoming the best team in this League. Ironing out the slip ups this season away from home, such as Tranmere last week, is key for aspirations of promotion this or next season. Beat Swindon and there's no reason why the final part of this season couldn't leave Cortese speechless... Chuffed with this result, and we reciprocated favours with Norwich today, Huddersfield's form is slipping.
  21. I thought you hated Antonio... ;-)
  22. Yes, we can mathmatically make the play-offs. This would require us to win all our remaining games, or virtually all of them if one of our play-off rivals really arses up big time. Will we? I don't think we will. I bloody hope we do, but I think the gap is just too big. Huddersfield's recent demise gives us hope, but Tuesday's Swindon game is the real decider. Win that, and our game in hand, and I'll assess where we are then. I'm enjoying each game as it comes at the minute, and long may that continue.
  23. When fit and playing, IMO the emergency keeper would be Murty. Reads the game well, and is a big guy. It also wouldn't be weakening the team as much as sticking Lambert in goal would. Without Murty in the team, then I'd plump for Morgan. He's not going to score anyway, might as well utilise him in a position which goals for a non-goalscorer! (Love you Morgan...)
  24. Getting rid of Lowe's legacy is one thing, but I'm very suprised to hear this one. I have grown very fond of my trips to St Mary's although I can understand people's ties to the stadium are not nearly as strong as they were to the Dell. I'd be very suprised if this happened, it smacks of a PR stunt to me to please the fans, but then who knows. We all know the big man Mr Liebherr is minted, if he has our best interests at heart then we can only be pleased. EDIT: I also like having the Southampton ground in Southampton Central, it's great to walk in from, or to, the pub prior/post a game.
  25. Ah my inbox is still full of MB's delightful PM's. :heart:Back in the day man, back in the day...:smt009
