  1. Used Tampax. Pretty cool IMO, because it stops messy panties. No smoking signs, pretty cool for non smokers. Scars are cool, especially if they're still bleeding. Nobody mentioned Saints home kit then?
  2. I agree with the posters that say that the England players play better for their club because they're surrounded by world class foreigners - while we're not on the same level (yet), that's true for Saints too - without Morgan last season, we looked much weaker. Foreigners have, on the whole, been good for the domestic game, but in turn it has ruined England's chances of ever winning anything.
  3. My momma changed her style and now she makes about £100 more a night than she used to. Change is good. I do miss the arcade, but I know it's on its way.
  4. England's players of the tournament - Warnock, Dawson, Hart and Carrick. I heard the England team were going to have an open top bus trip in London when they get back next week, not as a celebration, just for a spot of sightseeing. In all seriousness, I suppose this raises the question of whether the English team will ever be a force in World football again. I can't see it, in its current state, I know that the FA is bringing in the English youngsters rule into domestic competition but will that really change things? Who knows. Would a Great British team work? Merging England and Wales? Should goaline technology be brought in? So many questions...
  5. True, McClaren's England reign was shocking, a country like England not qualifying for any tournament is bad, but I'd still rather have an English manager as England manager. Granted, they are few and far between, and they can think twice if they wanted Pardew (!), but I'd rather not succeed in World competition with an English manager in charge than not succeed with a European manager in charge. Then you have to look at the wages these foreign managers are being paid - it's disgusting. If England can get him before Liverpool do, I wouldn't mind seeing Roy Hodgson as England manager. Totally agree about starting with the youth, but you do need one or two experienced heads in there as well. Beckham, Ferdinand and even Zamora were big losses for this World Cup, and to a point I think I'd even rather have had Gary Neville at right back than Johnson. Still, when the dust settles, I don't see them changing anything. I've always maintained to friends and family that I'm a Saints fan first and an England fan second, and I've always stuck by that. To be perfectly honest, I'm not even much of an England fan (in terms of football), I support them because I am patriotic about my country. It is, however, very hard to feel patriotic after today's result.
  6. England did not win their group, Serbia didn't even make it through (must say I was suprised), France didn't make it through either and we're not on the same side of the draw as Brazil. COMPLETE ARSE. Portugal did not go out in the group stages. Arse. That said, Japan are looking good for the Quarters though, I stand by that...
  7. No, but they have to beat Brazil to fulfil your prediction. Not impossible, but extremely tough.
  8. I can't say I find fault with the booking system thus far. Aside from telling us the best way to order is online, and then charging us out of towners* £3 for the privilege, I've always found it easy to use and had my tickets delivered promptly. It is a fallible system, but sometimes that can work in your favour, as I found out ordering Pompey tickets last season. It does need an overhaul, but it could be worse. edit* Charging everyone £3 of course, but worse for those that can't buy tickets at SMS.
  9. +1 I'll be starting down in the excruciating heat in the bowels of the Tube at 3pm, missing all the funshine sunshine fun and with no way of keeping up with the scores, except for sneaky glances at the Beeb website on my phone. It is for this reason that I hope England progress, as I can watch the last three games as England win the World Cup.
  10. It will be announced in the Echo on July 3rd that we have signed Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield. This transfer will then be pulled by Cortese and we will end up with James Beattie re-signing on July 7th, at 11:53pm.
  11. Good, hardworking team, no standout players, but they know what they have to do to fight. Their firepower is somewhat lacking, so I don't think they'll go far, but should do enough to reach the quarters. Aside from the Netherlands though, that second spot was always up for grabs by any of the teams.
  12. Germany, Argentina, Uruguay or the USA (perhaps), Brazil. If we win this World Cup, we'll have accomplished more than any other World Cup winner ever. It looks highly doubtful. I'd like to see us beat Germany and don't mind too much about going out to Argentina. Beating Germany would restore national pride, getting to the quarters was the minimum any England fan would have taken at the start of the tournament. Getting one over on that cheating anus Maradona would be so, so sweet though!
  13. ...and to nearly every Facebook profile message I've seen for the last few days! ;-)
  14. I'm going to cut off your winky and serve it to my customers in a pitta bread with garlic mayo... ...Oops...:-)
  15. Agree. It's a blessing that we have, potentially, the best TWO goalkeepers in League One. Bart can only learn from Davis, and when Davis is ready to hang up his gloves, or loses form, Bart will be ready to make the number one shirt his own.
  16. Ted Bates Bobby Stokes Alan Ball ...for if they were here being gunged, they would not have passed on, and our wonderful club would still have three legends knocking around.
  17. Oh noes, it's 2008 again! RUN!
  18. Your winky is safe.
  19. We'll win guys. My logic is that I watched the first two group games, and we played badly. I couldn't watch the Slovenia game due to work and we played well and won - I also can't watch the game on Sunday, so a win there too! The next England game I can see would be the semi-finals. If we get there, I think I may just ban myself from the TV. Realistically speaking, Germany will be our toughest opponents in years. The haven't really got any standout talent, but they have a quality team of good players. I fear them, in a way, I'm glad I can't watch the game, I'd get too nervous and shart. We CAN win, we have the players, but all 11 need to perform to 100%. Penalties? Nah, the game will be decided in normal time IMO.
  20. lol:@:Italy. It just goes to show with Italy and France going out that no team has a God given right to be in the last 16. I was thinking this about England, if we played badly against Slovenia, we deserved to go out, but we didn't. This'll be an interesting WC now, tis just a shame England only managed second spot, because the other side of the draw is looking much easier...
  21. 100% English. If one more person says I look Greek, I think I may cut off their winky and nuts and force feed them to a giraffe.
  22. I'm at Heathrow, and the planes are taking off and landing as normal. HTH
  23. Stupid though it sounds, I'd rather we got the big teams. Whilst the performance today was better, we still don't have enough firepower, and even teams like Serbia or Uruguay would tear us a new one. Play Germany, then perhaps Argentina, would give us a greater excuse if/and or when we go out.
  24. With Norwich going up and Wycombe going down, the only League One rivallry I now have amongst my friends is with the Brentford fans. Thus I would like to 5-0 thrashings in those respective fixtures please. (Especially at Brentford in the last but one game of the season!)
  25. Simple, buy last year's home kit and next year's special sash kit, cut them in half, and sew the back side of last year's kit onto the front of next years. Sash at the front, stripes at the back, problem solved, except for the backlash you'll get on here for destroying two Saints kits, and the backlash from the missus for messing up her sewing kit.
