  1. God bless the online system. I booked my one ticket last week as I had a JPT ticket, but my mate wanted two more so he could take his missus. Got 'em! Nice - so If the T/O ****s up the sending out of tickets, at least I have two opportunities of getting a ticket... ;-) (God bless the T/O)
  2. We're inconsistant, so losing to Tranmere should mean that we whip the pants off of Leeds. IMO it'll be a close one, but I would like to see them slip up and fall into the play-off spots at the end of the season (for a giggle), so I hope we win this one. 2-1 Saints IMO, and I wish I could be there. :-(
  3. The play-off dream has been long over. It's a shame, but that's just how our season has shaped up. Next season is going to be AWESOME. Keep the important players, add to them if need be, and make the assault next year. We need to teams - a pretty team that can play football like we did last Tuesday, and an ugly team that can win on the shyte pitches. Well done Tranmere, but even a draw wouldn't have been good enough. Still, more wins than draws or losses to the end of the season, and we can sleep easy in the summer.
  4. ...in terms of how good he's become in a short time! He's in great form.

I'm going naked. This way, I'll save money on the tat.
  6. He was my MOTM on TUesdazy night and fully deserves this award. He's clicked, and his attack with Rickie is looking awesome. Keep them both in the summer, and we'll be laughing. He had a slow start while bedding in, but proved his knockers wrong and is now flying. He's a real try hard.

    Tranmere Build-up

A third 5 goal win in a row, and I may actually re-whitewash the walls of my home...

    Tranmere Build-up

I agree with one nil, but it'll be Papa's knob that gets the goal. (Even more impressive seeing as he'll be on the bench at the time.) It'll no doubt be a shyte pitch, but any win will be acceptable, we need to start winning ugly. 1-0 is my prediction too.

I thought the Megastore was already selling flags. I was going to pop in there before the Hartlepool game.
  10. Not necessarily Phil. I work at Heathrow, and as long as you get a hotel on the Bath Road, or book a room at the Jury's Inn outside Hatton Cross Station, then all buses are free and they run all night. It's part of the Heathrow freeflow system. The 285 is my bus of choice when I'm working lates. I do agree though, that there are many more hotels, and better ones in London that can be just as cheap.
  11. Both. Drop Rickie, he's guff.
  12. After the game I got in my car in Lime Street, drove back to Surrey and had to be straight to bed to be up at 5:15 today for work! Hence no posting from me last night. Flawless performance. If I HAVE to look for negatives, which I am loathe to do, then Jaidi's clearances weren't brilliant last night. Umm, that's it. Oh, and I hit my back on the advertising hoarding in the Kingsland on the Camera run. There, I said it. MOTM Puncheon for most people I would expect, but Barnard for me.
  13. That takes into account, though, the fact that Leeds's form dropped after the Manure win. Yes we can do it if we win all or most of our games, but we also need two of the play-off sides to really balls it up.
  14. Good to see the kid get some playing time, reading the reserve reports, he's played well. It's good to see Pardew take notice of good performances from the youth that deserve a chance. Now we have money to spend on players, I'd hate to see the youth players denied the chance to test their skills in the senior team.
  15. Away games will always be tougher no matter who we're playing. Nevertheless, with the creativity and form we have shown in the last couple of games, even if Tranmere shut up shop and look for the draw, there's no reason we can't nick a goal or two. Play ugly, win ugly. We can't play attractive football all the time.
  16. Anyone in the Kingsland see the female steward that got hit with the ball and fell off her chair? Made me chortle anyway. Steward out.

This is old news. We needed a striker to replace long term absentee Connolly, we got Barnard and also Waigo hit form.
  18. This is the first time I've had internet access since before last night's game, and I've been so itching to get on here! What a night. The players were brilliant, the pitch was brilliant and the atmosphere was brilliant. The Northam were in fine voice. In my spot in the Kingsland, it was fairly subdued, I felt very self concious about singing when no one else was (hence after the Hartlepool game I'm going to relocate to the Itchin North most likely who were also brilliant last night) but by the end of the game, everyone was getting onvolved. And WHAT a performance. Flawless. We made a very good side look poor, though, not to take anything away from Huddersfield, who had chances and possession, we didn't allow them to play. We were on every ball, we were winning every tackle, and everything just clicked. All XI players, and the three subs should give themselves a pat on the back BUT, and this is key, not get complacent and expect this to happen in every game. It was the first time I've had the chance to see Puncheon and Semi play, and Oh My God were they good. Puncheon especially is sheer quality. Some of his touches to keep possession were Premiership quality, and he really is two footed. His link up play with Semi on the right was good too. Semi, who I've never seen play before had a very competent game. He's very quick, and was always willing to go forward. In the abscence (perhaps permanently) of Murty, it's good to see a right back play at right back. Semi wasn't flawless, he did make one or two errors, but atoned for them swiftly. Choosing a MOTM is nearly impossible, as every player was brilliant. I'm not giving them ratings, because everyone was a ten, but if I did have to pick a MOTM at gunpoint, then I would pick Barnard. Punch seems the obvious choice, but I though Barnard was superb, fighting for every ball, he didn't stop running, showed some excellent touches and his finish was not what you would expect of a short bloke. Words cannot express how elated I felt after the game. Perform like this all season and there's no reason we can't attempt the play-offs. My head says they're out of reach, but my heart is looking up in earnest.

    Paul Hart

...is the new Crystal Palace manager now that Warnock has gone to QPR. Does this guy get a thrill from managing clubs in trouble? First Poopy, then QPR and now Palace. Best of luck to him but, despite Palace's lowly position, I think he's got the best job of the three that he's had this season.
  20. Doing shiftwork, I get to see lot of daytime telly. It's dross, but some shows aren't too bad. To Buy Or Not To Buy is one of them that's passably watchable, although usually with Ed Hall as the better entertainer. Sad to hear he's died, he'd only just finished building his dream home too. RIP
  21. Tha Fat Controller - if you've set up your own ticket hotline on this number and I don't get my ticket on or after March 15th, I'm going to eat you. ;-)
  22. It's ok lads, Carlisle just extended the loan of a Stoke midfielder. He must be so used to playing in the red and white stripes with a bunch of former Saints that he'll consistantly pass to us. In addition, we're approximately one billion, four hundred thousand, six hundred and forty two times better than Carlisle.
  23. I'm actually laughing out loud at some of these posts. Pompey really are a comedy writer's dream! Talk about kicking a club while they're down! Everyone wading in to boot Pompey's motionless carcass in the bum. More of the same please.
  24. They don't have any fans, ergo no delays for people getting into the stadium. No TV cameras either, so they don't make the rules. In fact, no one can even prove that Scottish football even exists. Certainly judging by Neil McCann's silky skills... In seriousness, I'd often wondered this. Ten minute half time. Answers a lot. It's not long enough though, even the good old 15 minutes sometimes seems too shortt...
  25. lol @ p0mp3y if it's true.
