I was going to say play the youth side and get the hell out this competition to concentrate on our flagging league dreams, but with so many players seemingly coming back from injury we'd be wise to give them a game and get some match fitness. Them, and any signings we may have between now and Saturday.

If Adkins has been looking for a striker anyway, then the purse strings are already loose - this may just accelerate one or two things, I wouldn't be surprised to see more loans come in than we initially planned for.

It's not the end of the world if we lose or draw tonight, but we must then go and beat Cardiff. The Leicester team does look pretty solid, but then a team that cost a lot to assemble would - and they've been struggling with most of this team all season.
