Not sure, but it'd be great for Oxlaide-Chamberlain to step up off the subs bench and net a goal at Wembley...

Missed the sticky thread that was running for the last month or so... ;-) Where did it go!?!?!? EDIT: It was the Pompey song thread I was thinking about. God knows what I was going on about. I guess some songs could remain the same though... Thomas is a big loss to the cup team. Shame, because he's earned his right to play IMO. I bet James is rubbing his hands with glee. (In an empathetic way...)

Note to self, never log on here during games. The second I logged off to get back to work just after half time, Lambert got his first! A good win, fairly irrelevant in the course of our season now, but it'd be good to freak out a few teams in the play-offs by coming up fast behind. Not beating Swindon and Tranmere put paid to our season, but with winnable games against Hartlepool, Leyton Orient and Oldham to go, there's no reason why we can't be within tem points of the play-offs by the end of the season. We need our good players to play well, as Lambert showed today. 3-0 is a good win, MK Dons must be sick of the sight of us by now, beating them and buying their best player! (Although they didn't own him...) Beat Hartlepool, which I'm confident we can do (unless we are the most inconsistant team in the world, ever), and we've built an excellent platform for which to go to Wembley next Sunday. Harding on the right? It shows how having a big squad doesn't always solve problems. Thomas out, Semi out, James unfit. I just hope we have James back and fit for next Sunday to give us some balance. Happy today, bring on the highlights.

Potentially, but that's not something Puncheon or Seaborne should be concerned with...

He should be concentrating on the game tbf...:smt050

Afternoon all, stuck at work but I've snuck off for a meal break to follow the first half. Harding on the right eh? Who'd have thunk it.

I'll be there. Alone. :-( (Except for my 20,000 comrades.)

Either the team will get their act together and perform with a will to win after Tuesday night, or they'll realise we're not in the running for anything now and ease up. I sincerely hope it's the former. Our form at the tail end of this season can sometimes dictate whether we start next season more positively. It'll be a draw IMO, 1-1.

Got three, sadly my mate has taken up his chance to go to Wembley and thus I'm sold out. Sorry guys, hope all of you that want tickets get them. Tis a shame though, I was looking forward to devising a way of issuing them...
-
So who's received their wembley tickets in the post yet?

Got my three yesterday. (Yes, I'm that fat.) -
I do have a dodgy feeling that we'll be expecting more than the team will deliver next season, but ultimately promotion is a MUST. While it would be deemed as a failure, even winning the play-offs would be a reasonable result, yes, we should be looking at automatic promotion, but a play-off win will still get us promoted, and that is of paramount importance.

Bang goes the season then. Pardew says he hasn't given up hope, but he might as well realise now that we're only playing for pride. The JPT Final will give us all something to get behind our team for, and if we do win it, then the season won't have been a write off. (which I don't think it will have been anyway. The progression we've made since the start of the season has been phenomenal.) I will be cheering my head off four more times this season, and I expect the players to fight to the end. Next season promises to be amazing.

Carole's Legacy paid out! Whoop Whoop! So the day wasn't a complete shambles. £50 spent, fifteen won. I'm putting it all on Saints tonight. UTS!!!!!

Can anyone lend me a quid? :-(

npower are arses. Both my Dad and one of my friends was switched to npower, by npower, with no permission. (True story). As a result, I will not be supporting Saints next season, and will be switching to Man Utd. (Not true story.)

Yeah, sorry Stevo! Who knows, today might be my lucky day. I missed a race from my earlier post, and it's the biggest of the day! So in the 3:20, I have Celestial Halo to win. I apologise to anyone with this bet.

Fill up at Tesco or Sainsbury's, especially if they've got their 5p a litre off voucher running. Ok, it may not be of great quality, but it makes my car go, and that's all I'm really looking for from petrol.

Paynter and Pericard are out for them, their attack is severely weakened.

Morgan - will he ever score? It looked easier to score than miss! (Prove me wrong tonight chap.)

Every year I have a flutter, and every year I end this week being much skinter. (If that's even a word. I will of course be betting again this year. As for tips, I'm not putting any up. In past years, you lot have had far too easy a ride by avoiding the tips I put up. (...and correctly so) Oh nuts to it. My selections (and for you to avoid) I have made for today are: 13:30 General Miller e/w 14:05 Mad MAx e/w 14:40 The Tother One e/w 16:00 Monkerhostin e/w 16:40 Carole's Legacy e/w Not a lot of money, I'm not a big gambler. (Which is why I haven't gone bankrupt ;-))

Tis a shame, I would have taken him to the World Cup based purely on his experience and ability to play in many positions BUT England are lucky that they have many good right midfielders. If fit, Lennon, Wright-Phillips, Bentley, Walcott, Milner, Young and Puncheon will all contend that spot.

It shows the price of failure and how important the Premiership is to people. If, or rather when, we get back to the Premiership, I hope we have some seriously good investment, if not the current set up, and use it wisely, because the only way to become an established force in the Premiership is to have money and use it wisely. I didn't mind Brown, Hull have made a stupid decision, although I notice that they've only put him on gardening leave, so perhaps WHEN they go down, they'll re-appoint him?

Ooh now there's a debate! With Barnard reported in the media as having joined Leeds before we signed him, it would have been interesting to see which had been the better striker. Both are goal poachers, Barnard is hard working whereas Beckford has the swagger. Now we have Barnard, I'm pleased. Beckford seems the sort to cry if he doesn't get his own way - Barnard seems an honest, down to earth bloke. Not only did we sign Barnard, a player that could potentially have sealed promotion for them, but they ended up with a "past it" Dickov. Charlton are my new 2nd favourite team...

I agree with this, but Thomas is a ****ing nutter and gives all his heart when he's on the pitch. When I've seen him play this season at right back, especially in the JPT, he's more than held his own in that position. Yes, he's slow compared to Semi, and doesn't offer the same getting forward, but I know if I were a left winger, I wouldn't want to come face to face with Thomas. Having said all that, Pardew could plump for James at right back if he's fit again.

There has to be an ugly one in a friendship, and Holly Willoughby is no *****r.
