We cancelled our Christmas party due to lack of interest. That'll teach the organisers for having it on the 25th. Instead a popular colleague is having leaving drinks on the 23rd. Almost everyone is going to that, so it looks like that'll be the big night out.

Meh, I'll probably be allowed to leave early, so could always walk into someones house party. Though can't drink - back in New Year's Day.

I wouldn't be so sure - be good to see a few of the fringe fighting for a first team space. My point is to rest the big players like Lambert and Hammond - if we're not going to do it in the JPT, I still think we should do it for the FA Cup. Yes it's a big competition but it's another game where players can get suspended/injured. If we go out, we go out, though I don't think we will, even with the fringe.

He was still getting whacked during the early season form, but has been happy since. Thing is, I don't want to stop whacking him lest he gets too ****y, so from time to time he'll cop an unfortunate one.

Take the free bus from the station to save time - trying to get it after the match is tricky though, seems to be first come first served - and if you miss it, you've got to walk fast to get the train back! I usually get the train from/to Winchester as it's easier to park and commute - but am thinking about driving into Southampton for the Norwich game and the Exeter game. Any ideas on the best places to park? (Legally, I don't care how much parking is but I don't want a ticket!)

I'd rest the big players and play the fringe. Something like Bart, Murty, Thomas, Perry, Mills, Waigo, Wotton, James, Holmes, Patterson, Saga.

Strachan is a notoriusly slow started at the clubs he manages. He was for Coventry, he was for us, his first match at Celtic was a spanking to a club no-one had heard of. A manager takes time to stamp his authority on a club - something trigger happy chairmen do not always give time for. Pardew is a good case in point here - our early season form was poor and some people wanted Pardew replaced before he had even had time to tinkle at St Mary's. Good managers need time to change things, it take a miracle worker to instantly change things (unless they get lucky in the transfer windows a la Redknapp.)

That's probably close to being correct. No matter what league we're in, I am restricted to just a handful of games a season due to shiftwork. The blessing with League One is that I can just turn up and buy a ticket on the gate. Back in the Premiership, that was virtually impossible.

Lallana, after his terrible spell at Spurs, who signed him for £5 million at the end of the 2010-2011 season. Lambert, having banged in 30+ goals every season since signing. Hammond, like Marsden the lower league player that turns it up a gear no matter what League we're in. McLaggon, the best young player to come through the Saints ranks since Walcott.

IF we get to the Premiership then I'd like to be the kind of team we were in the early noughties. Playing well, good team, mid-table but with a chance of getting into Europe every year. Of course we'd all say we'd want to be in the top 4 but that's a pipe dream. Frankly, thinking about the Premiership at all is a pipe dream, but I like the idea.

I voted Lallana in terms of the fact that he's exceeded all our expectations of him. Lambert is a close second and I'll give honourable mention to Harding who has been very good on the times I've seen him play.

A game we SHOULD win. A game we will win? Yes. A win and a clean sheet? Yes. I predict a riot. 4-0.

This is key. Over and above the fact that he's a tactician that can switch between formations, has told players that are not up to it that they'll be shipped out, and is 100% truthful during interviews with his assessments and visions of the future, he has assembled a team of quality. Not one of his signings has been a miss. Granted, not all of them have had the same impact and degree of success, but they've all played their role in our good form. Not all of them were plain sailing either - Lambert and Hammond were always going to be good additions, the same could be said for Jaidi and Harding, but you could say that he gambled on players like Connolly, Antonio, Murty and Waigo. Gambles sometimes don't come off, but for Pardew he must have some sort of magic touch. Mellis would be the only incoming player that raises a doubt, but he undeniably has quality, has shown it, and after all it's not his fault he's not getting alook in currently. I'm looking forward to the transfer window to see what Pardew does. Yes, he'll have a duff signing eventually, let's just hope it's a loan and not a perm.

That should be every single club in the world's target, naturally, but I think we can look above relegation battles. There's enough crud in this league to cushion the blow (no offence to every other club in the league) and we should now be looking to the play-offs. I'm suprised that I'm saying that - twas only a few games ago that I said the same about relegation - but I'm now struck by the quality and belief our team has to move onwards and upwards. One win changes little. Lose against Tranmere and the pessimists will be out, but looking at the League table I'm starting to genuinely believe we can be there at the end of the season in the top six. There's tons of time to go this season - it's not even Christmas yet. We should be higher in the table, but that's to do with the first few games of the season when we hadn't gelled and were mixing and matching the team - since then we've been very good and had promotion form - hiccups like Brighton will happen, but overall we should get more wins and draws than losses this season and absolutely our target should now be the play-offs.

My parrot has no need to fear me anymore. Saints good form is certainly a blessing for pets. I think the RSPCA should present us with some sort of award...

I said six points at the start of the week, and we got it. That's the important thing. We may not have kept a clean sheet again, but 3-1 is fast becoming my favourite ever result. The same old names on the scoresheet too, it's refreshing to see strikers do what they're paid to do! (Sorry Saga...) The League table looks amazing. To think that this is the first time this season that we would have been in the play-offs had we not had points deducted is a great feeling - and as has already been said, we're only 9 points off that all important (and seemingly very achievable) play-off spot even with the deduction. Will the wheels fall off? Right now, it doesn't feel like it, and let's not think too much into that. I hope Saints can give us a very rosy Christmas indeed.

Buy a Bugatti Veyron. Oh for the club? Well I wouldn't sign anyone on big money - I'd rather keep the bulk of the £5 million until the summer when we have a better idea of where we are and which players will stay. We do need a Trotman replacement, or at least get Trotman on a loan for the rest of the season, and another striker in the Lambert mold.

Happy with a draw, happier with a win. We need to go into this fixture thinking we'll win it. We can, we will IMO. Walsall are no pushovers this season, but then they haven't played us yet. 2-1 win, we'll sneak it at the death.

If my parents had to make the decision, I'd be a gonner as I'm the bastard child from hell. I don't have children, so I'd save my missus. :-D

Just pray to God every day that Rooney breaks his metatarsal or Algeria and Slovenia find a shed load of quality players from somewhere.
