**** poor 1st half, better in the 2nd - could have nicked a point. Mayuka did well, change of shape really helped. Nil point though as expected... Not good enough. Lacking a bit of fight and mentally brittle, we are too soft need to be nastier. I love what nige has done last 2 years but out of his depth IMO for the following reasons, total opposite to last year.... No idea of his best formation no idea of his best team crazy subs at times team is too soft Weeks and months to do it but cannot plug this defence. We seem lost and desperate IMO

At least Richardson can cross the ball, unlike clyne. Richardson is just like chaplow in that when he plays regular he is solid and when he is not match fit a liability.

He is an absolute media whore and full of ****, however his record is very good apart from with us. Adkins is a top guy and done a great job for us but I cannot see him plugging the defence. Personally I would welcome hoddle and redknapp. Utter ****s but good managers IMO.

If the Southampton way is to ship 3+ goals every week then **** it. Not going to get 50% of the youth team in the 1st team any time soon if ever. We have tried revolution not evolution this year with 4-3-3. Anderlect showed us up and not much has improved since. We should have it in our locker but both J and RL often seem totally isolated. Gaston and j rod both have potential but there fees would have sorted our defense out. Last year we had round pegs in round holes but this year it's the complete opposite.can't be so rigid and bloody minded.

Last year Richardson and butterfield supplied lambert and clynes crossing is not so hot or attempted as often. I was aware of this before seeing stats but interesting to back it up.
