@ Channon's sideburns: I do think cortese has been getting a rough ride in some respects personally but I have heard things from a current employee whih are negative. Also I would disagree that Lowe walked out dignified - I think you will find the administrator would not take on the club with Lowe at the helm. He had no choice.

Things have moved on now chez, the grounds a nice but the buildings are very outdated.

Does anyone know what the latest is on the plush staplewood redevelopment? The last I heard was work was due to be completed this summer but as far as I am aware work has not started. There were rumours that there were disputes with contractors, even that it is not going to happen. Would be nice if the club updated us? Anyone got any idea?

Each to their own, but I would never boo the team during the game. For me the 2nd half "performance" was unacceptable therefore had I been there I would have booed. I'm sure that if Chelsea or united, boro, & other league favorites performed as we had in the 2nd half, the reception would have been the same.

Some people really do not get it. Because for the last 10 years we have won **** all games at the start of the season makes it alright?! Yeah it's alright typical saints it's traditional for us to lose the 1st game of the season, it's traditional that we don't win on sky. That's ok then. It's also traditional that we don't win promotions. Oops

Its just one game but for me it was very worrying. 1st half we looked comfortable but really missed rickie to finish the crosses. We have known we need a similar player for months so not good enough. Goal was a joke, butterfield was challenging fonte for the ball was for me the main error. He did not get forward well at all. Connolly looked well off the pace & Barnard was not much better 2nd half. The only player who stood out 2nd half was a quarter fit lallana. The rest were utter dross & Plymouth wanted it more which was the most disappointing aspect. We have only a couple of weeks to address our obvious weaknesses in cm, striker & wide player. Plymouth were well organised & many teams will set up like that but we could not break them down, no plan b it appears. Poor poor start.

Joining the love-in, pards speaks alot of sense unlike alot of the nobs we have listened to in the past. I really hope it works out for him here. Let's hope he is backed to bring in another 3 quality players so we can have a real push for the title.

Shame for those that want the sash that it has sold out. Though I don't know any figures, have been told this shirt has broken all sales records. Clearly the demand is much higher than expected & shows the sponsor free gesture to be an extremely good decision from cortese. The sash is timeless & I will buy another if they get discounted at the end of the season.
