  1. Naïve? Really? As it is I don't pay a huge amount of attention to how wide the stripes are and which manufacturer puts their logo on. I know some people find it quite concerning, but its never really bothered me. Just that for all the build up, to get something other teams have been using for years is somewhat anticlimactic.
  2. After all the fuss with Barry Gale, something original rather than a generic adidas shirt.
  3. So pretty similar then. At least in my eyes they are (and of course the badge and advertiser is different - asinine to even mention it).
  4. Because Sunderland's current shirt this season has it, and they couldn't be bothered to do anything new. But hey, I don't really get excited about how wide the stripes are but realise some do. IMO this seasons shirt looks better.
  5. Isn't it basically the same as this, with slightly different collar and cuffs? Or am I missing something?
  6. Urrrr, it's a shirt with red & white stripes.
  7. Fighting??? Hypo asked a question to which I gave an answer. Not sure that there was much fighting, certainly not from my side.
  8. Not really sure anything specific. If I had to name a programme it would probably be Blackadder rather than The Office. I don't find this Barry Gale unfunny, just not as hilarious as others seem to find it. As I said, great to bring some humour to the game.
  9. Why I love this, while not really being my sort of humour, is that it brings some fun into the game. Football has become far far too serious a business, which is hardly a surprise given the amount of money swilling around so it is good to see something light hearted.
  10. A lot of money to spend?? What was our net spend after he and all his mates jumped ship? Maybe MP is being very disingenuous - maybe he is trying to deflect attention away from the fact that having had a new arsehole torn, and with SFC being a point behind them, we seem to be having a more successful season than they are what with their expectations of CL football.

Oh how disappointing as I renewed my ST weeks ago.

I've always wondered why other clubs seem to be able to keep their players (if they want) and get them to sign extensions, while we can't. Am I mistaken in this? I sort of look at Everton who manage to keep their players (seemingly so), and maybe WHU. I'm not referring to the likes of NUFC, who aren't interested in keeping, but prefer to cash in.
  13. Ahhhh. I almost kepy VHS just for that. Is it available on DVD?
  14. Seemingly not, but they do have to fill their pages out. No one believes them, so if they get it right once in a while they can then say how wonderful they are. If they get it wrong, it's just forgotten.
  15. seems that others seem to find it amusing.
  16. Wonder who will be our captain and new centre back next season http://metro.co.uk/2015/05/14/liverpool-line-up-transfer-of-southampton-captain-jose-fonte-5196434/
  17. Seems KP is booked on a plane back to India on Friday. Don't blame him at all.
  18. Boruc MV of £880k is complete and utter bull. His MV is £0 as he is a free agent in a couple of months. I would also say that the whole of football has got more expensive and MVs should really all go up. I look at S.Davis and the value of £4.8m which in the scheme of things these days is nothing.
  19. Sid, I'm not sure we are trying to avoid it are we?
  20. When was the last time there was a player that polarised opinions in this manner?
  21. Monk doing a damn good job.
  22. 7 mins of injury time
  23. Interesting Swindon vs Sheffield Utd. Swindon 3-0 up after 18 minutes to take a 5-1 agg lead. Currently after 65 mins it is 4-3 (6-4 on agg).
  24. OK - I take it that his opposition might not be the best and he scored a run or two against the Uni boys and a decent Big Bash. But his skill level is not in question, just that he hadn't played 4 (or 5) day cricket for a long time, even if it is against players who aren't the best in the world. Me, I'm still in 2 minds. Was very anti, but as I say, not going to IPL is a good move. I take it that one might not want to drop Ballance, Bell or Root, but if FIGJAM is the best player that we have, then surely it would be a question of fitting others around him, rather than him around others.
