  2. It's not so much Inter/Boca deciding what's going on, as he comes back to us in a few months time. We've got this season sorted out, it's the remainder of his contract that we have to sort out.
  3. OK, and not being obtuse, which of the ACN15 do you consider tin pot. We have the following countries involved in the finals.... Group A Congo Equ. Guinea Gabon Burkina Faso Group B Tunisia DR Congo Cape Verde Zambia Group C Ghana Algeria Senegal South Africa Group D Ivory Coast Guinea Mali Cameroon Looking at that lot, I might put (being lenient) 6 of the 16 as tin pot.
  4. You think that little of him? I guess Wenger creamed himself over his performance last season in the 2-2 draw at SMS - he played a blinder. Wenger said he was taking a risk but he's not that bad surely? But, he seems only to have played 68 minutes in the last 6 league games with his last league start (and full 90 mins) back on 21st December. He did do the full 90 in the 3rd & 4th round.
  5. Yup - seems someone had a trumpet and the stewards went into turbo **** mode to see who it was who dared do that?
  6. That's a bit harsh. Take for example, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Algeria and they are pretty good and not micky mouse as you suggest (unless I have that wrong).
  7. Ah, because he has written something positive this weekend, he's OK. Actually, he's still a ****, but the second & third sentence I agree with.
  8. Bit of a strange one. As soon as 3rd party is mentioned, I sort of have images of South American 3rd party ownership, which of course is illegal in PL and very unlikely to have been the case with CC at Soton. As the article says, the transfer was above board and "amicable", so a bit weird.....and intriguing.
  9. Excellent response, although to me it seems clear he's a wee bit ****ed off really.
  10. Funny how every man and his dog (including some/many Saints supporters) thought that we were relegation favourites, save obviously for MP who thought we had a winning team. But damn, I want Matt to spill the beans about what went on when MP left. If MP is going to give **** interviews like this and be as about as disingenuous as it is possible to be, then it's fair game as to others letting the world know what went on.
  11. Well with all the ballcocks that Talksport were spouting this morning about how wonderful Liverpool were (which lead me to the rare occurrence of turning Alan Brazil off because I couldn't take any more - that's treatment usually reserved for Durham), it transpires that Coutinho is now the new Suarez. So it seems that we've signed the Serbian Suarez on loan.
  12. Wonder why he has come out with this. Do you think Levy said why aren't Spurs in SFC's position (albeit not very far behind) and that he has been lucky with something like 5 last minute victories? Or is it just because of the derby coming up that crap gets spouted?
  13. I think that I must be having a "whoosh" moment, as can't see where he is being a muppet.
  14. They'll have 2 contracts. one with Osvaldo and one with SFC. They might be able to cancel one with Osvaldo but not the one with us. So we have this season sorted, what about next season????
  15. IS that Phil Neville's whiny voice assaulting me aurally? If so, I wish he would STFU as he is annoying.
  16. LOL - for some reason I heard Gough and Durham last night as well. I usually turn Durham off as I can't stand anything about him, but his "head's gone" bit about Bertrand costing us £10m kept my interest for a bit. Gough didn't sound convincing in his acting as Durham's acolyte. And Durham just sound like the complete **** he is. If people don't know what a **** looks like, here's one
  17. Clubs also disagree on what has been offered apparently. F1908 - can I ask how you know it was €2.4m that was offered rather than the €3.5m others claim it to have been? Are you sure it was Euro rather than Sterling - I presume it wouldn't be anything as simple, although one never knows. I am not sure that SFC have come out and said how much they offered, so one has to take the word of one party rather than corroborating from both parties. As for people saying he is a substitute, I guess that that is a little bit open to interpretation. I personally wouldn't say he was, but looking at this - http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tonny-vilhena/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/182581/saison/2014/wettbewerb/NL1/verein/234 - I can see how people come to that decision.
  18. Some of us can see the bigger picture concerning our youth prospects and how much we are prepared to pay for other peoples prospects. It's just common business sense rather that rest of the guff you posted in an attempt to belittle the posters on here. £2-2.6m depending on who you want to believe is what we offered - they wanted £4.6m - what value would you think a decent offer so that people aren't insulted?
  19. Wonder if the bookies have started taking odds as to when Saggy has his knees done? Wonder if it will be before the end of the season.
  20. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/feyenoord-chief-explains-blocking-southampton-move-vilhena-4061768?utm_source=main_feed Fair enough, although somewhat different from the insulting value given earlier. If true, £2.6m for him is about right in my mind, and certainly not a valuation to be offended by. £4.6m to me is too much, given 18 months left. But then Spurs bought an 18yo for that from MK Dons and Bournemouth tried to from Brum for that much.
  21. Listen, the guy might be good or might not, but the fact is that he is contracted for 18 months more at Feyenoord. £1.8m might be on the low side, but £6m or what ever they wanted was madness. But we do live in the world of mad offers and personally am happy not to have him if it meant not over spending. I would far rather have someone from the academy come through. Maybe the club thought so as well - offer a low bid which is either accepted or not. If not, so be it, and the academy players can come through. If Arsenal or Spurs put in low bids, would I be upset or offended? Of course not. They have done this already during the last closed season and I wasn't offended - it's to be expected and it's how business should be done. It's the initial bid. Sometimes they are accepted and then you are pretty pleased. Usually they are refused and you come back with an improved offer. Tell me Feyenoorder, what value would you think acceptable for a central midfielder, a position where Saints aren't exactly short in? £3m? Or do you think that the £6m was about right? Was the sale of Luc Castaignos for less than £1.5m not a yardstick that could be used?
  22. Alan Brazil and Gay Parlour had their heads so far up the Saggy's buttcheeks this morning. Didn't have the balls to ask any questions, but just let him prattle on about how he couldn't stand for more than 10 minutes and when at training he, for the first time, used to look at his watch to see when he could bunk off. Then he said he would be back in football and started singing the praises of Bournemouth. If I was a Cherry I would be **** terrified of him stepping foot in Dean Court. Maybe he should go back and rescue Pompey from the jaws of Vanarama.
  23. Glenn Hoddle - gone Joe Jordan - gone
  24. I was - what about the sitter he missed in the 2nd half? I also saw his goals against Palace and Villa (Man City) http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/2-2-pablo-osvaldo-southampton-v-aston-villa/ (Villa) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1-qVc405oE (Palace) Would I want him back - not fussed really as I have no idea what happens behind closed doors. But if I was the manager, I would only get him back if ALL the squad agreed. If one dissenting voice, then no, and I would take the captain's views as being the most important.
