  1. This is very true. I guess you write something controversial and it generates traffic to your site. But..... Didn't we go through this at the end of last season, dismiss most things, and most things came true? Not that I really mind so much as I am making a concerted effort to be more pragmatic about football and it's impact on my life. Could Arsenal be last years Liverpool and be singing MS, VW and SM?
  2. http://www.caughtoffside.com/2015/03/19/arsenal-close-in-on-shock-move-for-southampton-star-as-walcott-replacement/ So a new one to add to Morgan, Vic, Clyne, the loanees, JRod.......
  3. he's at the biggest club in the world, don't you knw. YNWA and all that.
  4. LOL Life is too short to get exercised about managers of football teams, but I'd make an exception for Rodgers who comes across as a male chicken. Smugness is such an unattractive trait.
  5. 16 points from 14 games. If you took that ratio over a 38 game PL season (yes, I know we weren't in PL) that would give 43 points.
  6. Should have stood IMO.
  7. Pearson at Saints.. Managed 14 Won 3 Drew 7 Lost 4 Win ration 21.43% Still the replacements didn't do any better!
  8. Pele is 74 and retired from football some time ago.
  9. Don't go overboard with you £35 winnings!! I doubt the bookies are going to be too upset with paying your winning out, as I suspect that they took a fair bit more for us to be relegated or down at the bottom somewhere.
  10. I saw him, thought much the same. Was disappointed he didn't stay, but we moved on fairly swiftly.
  11. Initially I thought that it was a bad decision to change this late in the day. But, if the players have completely given up as they did vs Villa, then is there any point sticking with him? To be honest, Short should have sacked him after the 8-0 we gave them and where their players just threw in the towel.
  12. Was listening to Talksport when drifting off to sleep last night, and they had an interview with 'Arry. Anyway, his voice annoyed me and I soon fell asleep, but he came out with (the bit I heard) the biggest load of ballcocks you've ever heard. He said that on his first day in at Marchwood, some skate road workers were waiting for him and he was surprised as he hadn't realised that Pompey Saints hated each other that much. Really, how on earth can he say that? Anyway, was wondering how the operation on his knees was going. Anyone know?
  13. The one aspect of his game that I am not the biggest fan of, is that he can be a little theatrical at times when falling over.

    Ward prowse

Or leave Schneiderlin where he is and push Reed forward.
  15. If you are going to make managers do these press conferences, then you are always going to get a spiky character or two, which when they are struggling, are going to give short shrift to silly questions. Having said that, Pearson over the past few months has come across badly on many occasions.
  16. Had to go for a walk on 86 minutes. Just couldn't do it any more. FF made some top saves, but his positioning wasn't always great. Tadic needs some to be more "selfish". And we are still not converting our chances. But all in all, you can't complain about a point. Onwards
  17. Maybe Sherwood is better than many, including me, give him credit for.
  18. They've (excluding today's game) only lost one more game than we have. WDL for them is 4-14-10 vs us at 15-4-9
  19. Very still ball.......http://gfycat.com/LeadingSlowImago
  20. **** me, Philips's goal wasn't half bad. A proper 40 yarder (with no exaggerations). https://vid.me/7QV2
  21. They've got him at 84% but point taken.
  22. Very strange website.....http://www.gay-or-straight.com/Morgan%20Schneiderlin Sad that in this day and age, football/sport is the one area really that gays feel they cannot come out.
  23. If you were to buy a club in this country, there are some that should be more attractive than us. If I had no affiliation to a club, I would look to buy Newcastle first, then Everton and then maybe Villa. Of course price comes into it. Then there are some in the Championship that might be worth a look. I know Leeds has recently had new owners, but wouldn't be surprised if it could be bought on the cheap.
  24. Congrats to the lad for winning U21 Premier League Player of the Month Award http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2991918/Ryan-Seager-wins-Barclays-U21-Premier-League-Player-Month-Award.html Had hoped to see him feature in the seniors this season.
