Yes, I note from my seat that the Kingsland North/Northam are good at supporting him, and it's really refreshing that they do. He appreciates it as well, given the acknowledgement he gives.
-
Everyone seems to be over looking the virtual open goal that he missed in the 1st half. So yes, he did score, but he really really should have scored another.
-
LOL - yes, I guess that they are probably thinking on an annual 6% or some such.

Why not then increase prices by, say, 30% so that we can offer already overpaid footballers even more money to come and grace the turf at SMS?
-
Well done? With 0% inflation rate, it's not really a hugely magnanimous gesture. Would have been nice with ever increasing TV revenue, even with pressure from FFP to maximise income, to have given something back to the fans, even if it was just a 1-2% decrease.

Maybe the 72% possession that we had, and their 3 shots on goal have made them re-evaluate the category. We were so dominant that it was men against boys. Just best to overlook their conversion rate for their shots on target.

CLUB ACCOUNTS: 2013/14 - Saints reveal first profit
angelman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
That's before taxation, although they have £860k of tax losses to carry forward. -
I imagine that he would be a target man to knock the ball down for Messi, Neymar etc to run onto the knock downs.

Mate, the difference between A & B is £3 and B & C is £5. If it's such a big deal for you, I'll stump up half the difference for you. Or maybe if you budgeted in not drinking 2½ pints between now and 9 weeks time, then you'll be able to budget for the £8 extra yourself. Or if you don't want to cut down by half a pint a fortnight, then I am sure that you can find the difference between A and C elsewhere. +1

Simple answer to the whole thing if you do feel it unfair and/or underhand - don't buy a ticket. Take it or leave it. There is no compulsion. Really, it's very very simple.
-
So do I, but....I did buy a ticket for the seat directly in front of our 2 season tickets the other day, as I wanted to go with my father and my son. Lucky it was Cat C

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/documents/1415-match-prices148-1788601.pdf Can't understand the fuss over this being Cat A. I don't hear people whinging about QPR being a Cat B.
-
Surely what constitutes which category a game is, is supply & demand (as stated ^) rather than solely who the opponent is. The big teams (as mentioned - Man U, Chelsea, Pool etc) always - and I think it safe to say always - bring an increased demand so are Cat A. So I can't see a case for whinging that this is a Cat A rather than Cat C as the demand for this game justifies it as Cat A.
-
Agree. And..... Too many on here who think we should be grateful he is with us this season and that for some reason we owe him. These same people trot this out the whole time yet seem to forget that its not a one way street.

to me, we would have to have at least 22-25k / waiting list for STs before considering expansion. As others say, the less attractive teams fail to sell out.

You know CW, I am increasingly pragmatic about football and also how it affects my life. With the latter, it is entertainment which either leaves me elated or ****ed off (and various stages in between) and that is all. My well being and livelihood are not dependent on how we perform on the pitch nor who is employed by the club. The post/question was very much tongue in cheek. I look at football and all that is wrong with it and find it faintly amusing that so many people seem oblivious to it. I'm not referring to anyone on here, as I think that most are well aware of some/many of the problems that there are.

...and then you get the likes of Tom Ince who can't be arséd to play for the U21 but wants to concentrate on his club career. He wasn't great at Hull, but is doing well at Derby with 6 goals in 10. But still, I would have expected his father to have made him see sense, although I guess the U21 doesn't pay the bills.
-
Agree that Saints is not an unattractive club to play for. OK many will see it as a stepping stone but that's life. We pay a decent wage (I would have thought) and seem to know what direction we want to go in. I do sometimes wonder though, about players and their wages. Say we pay £40k a week, that's a pretty good wage and I doubt any/many on this forum would turn that down. Sure, moving to a bigger club will pay more, but is that really important if you are already earning so much? I suppose it comes back (slightly) to MLT who stayed here because of the area, closeness to family etc, when he could have moved elsewhere for a higher wage.

I thought, when appointed, that Woy would have a fresh approach to things. But no, it's just the same old script with (largely) new actors. I liked the way that the press didn't big us up for Brazil. But that all went out the window with Woys taking positives, we played well, etc etc, when we were dire. Now he just annoys me with his (almost) sanctimonious waffle. The England team has regressed in my mind to where it was a few years back - an irrelevance and a bore. What makes it worse is that when it is on TV, you have to put up with the inane guff coming from Andy Townsend and Clive Tyldesley. I know we are getting rid of Townsend soon, but he will be replaced with some equally idiotic journeyman.

How many penalties should a team get per season?
angelman replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
The most blatant one not given was vs Everton when Long was booted 10 foot in the air (although we did score from the incorrectly given corner). -
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/431678/Arsenal-plot-DOUBLE-Southampton-swoop-for-Morgan-Schneiderlin-and-Sadio-Mane Ahhh - we seem to have moved from the realms of internet blogs to red tops.

I am not sure that this is over. Would UEFA countries ever withdraw from the WC in a coup against FIFA?

Lots of complaining by Chelsea about refs this season. I wonder if they are going to complain about the ref on Sunday reaching for his pocket for a yellow, realising that Matic had been booked, and then changing his mind.
