He must be egg-cited to be there (sorry!)

So looking at our defenders (inc CBs) Yoshi Vest Stephens Bednarek Targett Bertie Valery Ramsay I think we def need Bertie back, and it will be helpful to have Yoshi back. If a stand in RB is needed from the established players would it be Yoshi or Targett? I look at Stephens and note that he can carry the ball forward. Or could you use someone like Sims, and get him to drop deeper?

I'm looking forward to a resurgent Lemina and Bertrand. Will be like 2 new players. Hopefully!!!!!!

Is a soggy duvet a 21st century wet blanket?

It would be interesting to know whether the contracts these guys being shipped out were on, were ridiculously generous or not, or whether they were market rate.
-
All things come to an end. Some earlier when systems change and I think with Austin, that time is now. I am sure that he would do a good job for someone, somewhere, but not suited to us, and takes too long to get up to speed.
-
But the problem with what you are seemingly trying to portray, is that we still own them all. Of course Davis's contract ends at the end of this season. The others have between 1 and 3 years left, so we will be able to recoup something

none for this season.

Top post. Well done.
-
Because an injury or two exposes us badly.
-
Depends on who is paying his wages for the loan period. Would be ridiculous if it was us subsidising any of it.
-
Do you think a 4-4-2 is harder to play than a 3-5-2 (or 5-3-2, however you want to look at it)? I always think a 3-5-2 is more interesting. However, in some games, I am sure that with subs etc, he has had to revert to a back 4 and it seems to work ok as well.
-
So we get rid of him on loan. You happy with what we have remaining there? If reports are to be believed, we may or may not be interested in that fella from Genk. How does that fit in with reducing the squad size?
-
If they don't buy, then you keep him. Simple really. I suspect, but happy to be told otherwise, that they are keener on getting him, than we are in selling him and replacing with some other over priced player.
-
We seem to be loaning out too many players. I know that Boufal and Carillo were mentioned as having a possible recall. But are we likely to get Hoedt back? I understand Davis. But we should insist on selling the likes of Cedric, not loaning with an option to buy.

FFS, I have gone onto Google maps and measured Burhou to Brighton and its about 120 miles. You are not going to see a flare from 120 miles away. If you did, then every Tom **** and Harry in the CIs would be blinded by the light.

CCFC not Chelsea's one, I presume

Like the Bednarek interview, whoever wrote the article, they aren't the most complimentary about Hughes
-
Its the "football family" side of it. I know that that can be seen to be a little bit of a cliché, but in these instances, I do think that it is there.
-
Difference I see is that Puel and Pellegrino said that they bought into it and would use the youth but didn't. Hughes came at a time when it wasn't right to use youth, and carried on this season not using them save for a wee bit with Obafemi. Ralph full on is happy to use them. Suspect Staplewood has a buzz about it now. As for the 1st team working out on Sunday. If you have got them buying into your philosophy, you can ask them to move mountains and they will.
-
So Celta have him and Boufal, or are they sending Boufal back?
-
Yes I saw the ref getting the ball for Pickford, who then placed it about 10 yards further up the pitch than it should have been. Not sure I've seen a ref do that before.
-
I think of the outfield players, him, PEH and Redmond are pretty much automatic choices at the moment.

You gotta love transfer window time. Everyone saying we are doomed and that all our players are s**t. Me, I maybe look back to the Leicester team that were tipped to be bottom half of the league, if not relegation fodder, who with the right manager, produced a whole lot more than the sum of its parts (ie when they won the league). I know after a loss, posters go a bit over board, but the Derby game just lacked all intensity that you get at a PL game. Looking at the starting XI for Leicester, I thought, OMG we are quite thread bare and going to get smashed. But really, if you have a decent manager (which I think that we do), then maybe what we already have is the answer to some of the questions. The one thing that we really lack is pace. That is something you obviously can't train into a player.
