  1. Well in all honesty, he's not going to come out and say that he was s**t.
  2. Bexy, I thought that the run was OK, but yes the fluffing (!) was disappointing. I always will on players like him to show us what they are made of. I want them to blossom and be a real success. But looking at last night, I look at him and JWP. JWP was snapping at people, tackling, tracking all over the place, doing a proper pass or two. JWP seems to have stepped up his game. Mo hasn't.
  3. What I took away questioning, was just how important Bednarek is to our defence?
  4. Just got back. Wish I had stayed at home. Here was a real chance for him to shine. Some nice touches, but nothing incisive and his final ball fell too short far too often. I would rather Sims than him TBH.
  5. Look on the plus side. MS, while at United, found a wife.
  6. There was the "I don't care about past achievements", and it seems Cedric has the biggest achievement with the Euro win.
  7. Jim White on talkSport just mentioned that Ralph considers him surplus so might be leaving sooner rather than later.
  8. Wagner not sacked. He was worn down by the pressure and thought it best if someone else took over. Apparently.
  9. Hughes has never been relegated, so must surely be 1st choice.
  10. if so, good luck to him. Seriously wish him all the best, and hope that a change of scenery is the tonic for a change in fortunes.
  11. Salah had a touch on the back of the legs and kicked his legs forward and threw himself to the ground as if he'd been shot in the back. Valery had, in my mind, more lateral contact and also threw himself to the ground. Funny though how one commentator says penalty all day long, and another "going to ground". Let's face it, Chillwell's right foot kicked Valery's left ankle and if VAR was in action, it might well have been a penalty. I'm not so naive to think that it is unrelated to the stature of the players, but the whole issue around penalties and falling over to win free kicks is ruining the game. Salah is awful. A puff of wind could blow him down.
  12. It is interesting reading the LCFC forums on the Vardy/Valery dives. To me, Valery had his left leg tapped by Chillwell - at 57:31 on https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0bz0scg/match-of-the-day-201819-12012019 - but he did make a huge mountain out of it. The 2nd yellow was a bit silly, but Albrighton dived just as much. He felt a couple of hands on him (which was silly of Valery), so he threw himself to the floor. Vardy - well their forums are all a little perplexed why he is being singled out and that it was no worse than Valery. Some even saying that Vester had his arm around him. It was awful. There was no contact what so ever, even if Vardy went fishing for Stephens' leg (thought it clever of him to make sure his leg was out of the way). At least Valery had his leg tapped before going into his swan dive. As has been said, many penalties have been given for what happened to Valery.
  13. Are they still doing Moneyball?
  14. I think it might be worth pointing out his interview from a few months back...https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018-08-19/nathan-redmond-training-post-everton-vs-saints-premier-league-1819. There is also one from a few weeks ago - https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018-12-04/feature-nathan-redmond-programme-interview-december-2018
  15. Great lesson for him. Not just on a personal level, but how his actions affected the whole team. He could have lost us a vital 3 points with his petulance. Fortunately it was win all round. Hopefully he learns a lesson. The team get a boost, esp the defence. And of course the 3 points.
  16. Surely that should be even grocer.
  17. I thought SMS could be quiet but Goodison seemed like a desert
  18. He's probably fallen asleep its so quiet there.
  19. £10 is a cheap price to escape the wife without having to make up all sorts of excuses. But seriously. I do understand it, although I am not very good at watching us on TV. I get too nervous and distracted and go walk about most the time. Far easier watching at the ground.
  20. If I was Leicester, that would right royally **** me off. Basically saying that the fans, and how they feel, are an irrelevance. To me, he actually looked like a man just waiting to collect his P45 and thus was fairly half arsed about the whole thing.
  21. On about 81 I had to take the dogs for a walk!
  22. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG
  23. You didn't buy the line that she would only sell to someone who could do that, did you? She was selling to the highest bidder pure and simple. She also ran the club like that when she was owner. This situation was bound to arise sooner or later, but I thought that we might have had a bit more in the kitty. But given that the owner seems pretty absent most of the time, then I guess it shouldn't really be a surprise.
