In our quest for top 6, we all point to Man U, Spurs, Liverpool and Everton having a bad start, but why don't we seem to consider West Ham as serious rivals? They have started just as well as us. I think positions 4-9 may well end up being between us and the aforementioned but I'm no more confident we'll finish above West Ham than anyone else. As much as I dislike them, they are where they are on as much merit as we are.

If your even a bit techy then start off learning some VBA and SQL, both pretty simple languages used heavily by most businesses. There's always jobs going for data analysis and report developing. Once your in there start learning python, JavaScript and anything else that catches your eye and you can build a half decent career.

I'm pretty sure they either buried that piece of shi'r't deep deep underground or burnt it in a sacrifice to the gods of Adam Lallana's beard
-
Surely you just disregard the match involving the team in question?
-
Yeah, its quite cute isn't it. Still would love to see them 3 (or 4) leagues above the skates.

Its a great win for them, as was ours last week, however the one thing in common aside from the scoreline is that they're both now in the past. Its no good dining out on one freak result. They need to get their heads down and get themselves in the playoffs now otherwise what's the point. Same as us, smashing a god awful Sunderland side doesn't give us a place in Europe. I hope they carry on and get promoted so we can smash them 8-0 home and away next year

I couldn't get all the way through that, the Neil Allen one sentence paragraphs are bad enough as it is but this reads like some messed up mistranslated Norse poem. Bravo Jordan. How much does a GCSE English course cost? Could we all pitch in and get these muppets some education?
-
Yep, what a fine mess that's got us into.

Good page number. This time in 1987 they'd just beaten Luton 3-1 at home, so amusingly they're even worse now than they were when I was born.

I don't think lucky is a good word to use in this scenario. There's a worryingly high possibility that he has suffered a permanent life changing injury, if as you say, he survives. I really hope that he recovers enough that he can still enjoy life.

Adam, on the off chance that you do actually care about how you are perceived by Saints fans and the even more unlikely off chance that you read this forum: **** off you utter ****.

Mark Hughes's phantom goal for the Saints Aug 1999
Joneth replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Did it not hit the advertising board close behind the goal and bounce out? How the eff the ref missed that one I'll never understand. -
Unfortunately for us, the Spurs players decided that today was the day they would actually listen to Pochettino and press as a team. It worked well for them and made it difficult for us to play our game. That said, we still broke through several times and created some decent chances including an utterly dismal attempt from Mane and a good chance for Wanyama. Overall, Spurs had to play far better than they have done at any point this season to just about nullify our play and grind out a result. Really not the end of the world, we played well, especially in the second half but Spurs were just a little better today. On to the next!

The opposite for Hammond, he was as you say, a great servant and wasn't given a chance in the Prem with us. Fair play to him, he's done pretty well so far for Leicester.

I assume that if/when it transpires that this whole 'debts paid off' thing is actually a 'slightly fluid' interpretation of the true state of affairs, that Mr Allen will be clarifying the situation with one of his usual insightful 50 paragraph articles?

http://http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29403220 During Saturday's game there was a 5 minute delay for a head injury to QPR's Sandro. It's a question I've often thought about, when a player takes a knock that requires looking at, is it fair that either the game is delayed or the team has to play on with 10 men for a bit until they make the decision to make a substitute (or otherwise). In Rugby you have the 'blood sub' system seems the fair thing to do. With the rule about substitutions for head injuries being in the hands of the team doctor, surely the manager should be able to field a temporary sub whilst they assess the player properly? Obviously on Saturday it worked out in our favour (although Sandro is utter dross), but does old S*ggychops actually for once have a point here, or is he just finding excuses as usual?

That's appalling, hope they catch up with the little scrote that did that and make clean it up and then do a lap of dishonour around Fratton Park.

Excellent win against a really determined, quality side. Not too many teams will walk away from the Liberty with 3 points. Bony's sending off was as dumb as you'll see and it really changed the game. Pelle had a bit of an off day but the big man Wanyama stepped in nicely. Tadic looks great coming inside as a central playmaker as well. Great stuff.

Like it, I reckon just keep it simple: Benali ran 500 miles And Benali ran 500 more Just to be the man who a thousand miles To find a cancer cure Franny Benali! Franny Benali! Da da da danana danana danana di di (x2)

Yeah, 5 in midfield away against the top sides is often a good shout.

Good luck Squarehead, he'll do well at Norwich. Personally I often felt he was very let down by Fox rather than being personally at fault, not the worlds greatest centre-half but with a run of games alongside other players who have even a nod to the concept of spatial awareness he could have been a steady Prem defender.

We are buying the world's most expensive Brett Ormerod
-
I've read it on here and given my reaction to that information, same as everyone else so no need for the high horse nonsense. I think he's alright, but nothing special and certainly not anywhere near £12m, maybe £3-4m at best (imo). Surely you can see that we are buying an inferior player to one we let leave for a massively inflated fee? If he was signing for QPR for £12m we'd be in stitches.
