  2. Well he's not going up the football food chain so I'd hope we'd have a strong chance of getting him back. If fit he'd be ace for us, exactly what we need IMO. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk

    Wanyama

Any money we get for him is a bonus. If he sees out his contract then he'll just lumber about, miss placing passes, mistiming tackles and ultimately blocking the path of someone else (not saying Harrison Reed is the answer but I'd happily see him in the side ahead of Wanyama right now). The sooner he leaves the better, but considering his performances this season, none of the clubs he wants will be interested. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
  4. I'd actively encourage people who want to take selfies to do so with a bolt action shotgun.
  5. The bloke is a total hero. Congrats on winning an award but as mentioned, its still a travesty the total wasn't much much higher.
  6. Did the garden route from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, via Stellenbosch for a wine tour, through the Klein Karoo to Oudtshoorn where we stayed at a really lovely place in the middle of nowhere tun by a French expat. Then went down to Mossel Bay to go swimming with the great wights, Plettenberg Bay and Knysna are nice little towns along the coast and then got to PE where they have the Addo reserve. Its a beautiful part of the world with loads to do. It's perfectly safe as long as you don't stop just because some geezer waves you down. If you end up on the east coast around Durban you can go up to Lesotho via the Sani Pass which is a pretty hectic drive although July is Winter so it might be too dangerous to go up then.
  7. Real shame for the lad, he was just starting to show his potential and this is a massive setback in his career. Might take him 18 months before he's even close to playing. Best wishes to him for a full recovery.
  8. Glad we got a point in the end as we were never going to win and it was exactly the sort of **** game that we dominate and lose.
  9. He wouldn't get near the first team, so hard to see any place for him. Real shame the way it turned out for him as he was the sacrificial lamb for the cause of keeping us in business at the time. If we ever needed a player like him he'd be welcome back, but right now, we don't.
  10. After tonight...nah you keep it.
  11. Just pathetic, to come all the way from the bottom of League 1, through the leagues into Europe to go out like this. Dreadful, this isn't the team I've been watching for the last 5/6 years, this has been like watching ****ing West Ham.
  12. He looks a good player, but he's no good to us suspended. Don't want him to lose the aggression to his game but he needs to apply the grey matter before diving in all the time. His card on Sunday was totally pointless.
  13. Awful, awful game. At least we got something from it.
  14. FFS! Assuming you wouldn't be posting this if it was BS. Sucks to be us.
  15. When you get used to winning, losing is all the more painful. When you are used to losing, winning a game, just a simple 3 points is the best feeling there is. That's what the 90s taught me.
  16. Worst performance since....trying to remember when.
  17. Why would anyone not want to play them now? I am 99% sure we would absolutely spank them silly, and even if the worst did happen and they somehow pulled off some incredible shock then we would still be a top 10 Prem side, playing in a proper stadium with flushing toilets and a working clock and they would still be whatever league they are in these days, playing in a rickety shack, covered in p1ss, without a clue what day it is let alone time.
  18. Yeah thanks for reminding me that the first game after my 18th birthday was that game at Fratton.
  19. So...this Ted Heath story then... If true then the full scale scandal version of events looks worryingly viable http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-33770021
  20. 170. How could I forget Van Gobbel? Missed several in those blurred championship years too, Gregory Vignal, Safri, Gillett, Wayne Thomas etc
  21. Reminds me of the Tim Flowers bottle interview
  22. I remember during the championship relegation season when he was a lightweight kid who couldn't tackle and couldn't shoot (still can't tbf) telling my dad that he was wasted in that league and he'd be a better player in the prem. He thought I'd lost the plot
  23. The man in the mirror Says, "Lets all have a meltdown" We march on
  24. Is there some way we could turn this thread around and save it from a premature demise? What events, signings, disallowed goals etc should of, could of, would of or might of happened in Saints history and where would we be now if they did?
  25. That Leon Best og, that was the most ridiculous, physics defying thing I've ever seen. How the hell did he manage to volley the ball backwards from there into the top corner? No idea how he did that.
