Not sure if it’s been mentioned elsewhere but on the red card tackle, the replay shown on MOTD captures a Brighton team mate grimacing at the awfulness of the tackle. Quite unusual to see such a natural reaction for a foul by your own side.

Isn’t that because the basic rate relief goes direct to the charity? When I did the maths a few years ago I’m sure all the tax was effectively repaid by the government - some back to me (the difference between your marginal and basic) and some to the charity (basic rate).

Seems completely reasonable to me. What a very strange reaction. Enjoyed the use of the word “grassing”. Haven’t heard that since I was at primary school.

Not followed this but surely as a minimum they’ll reform a few leagues down. There may even be a stadium available in Bolton they can play in. In reality, from Aldershot to Wimbledon, football clubs are much more robust than the narrow legal entity.

They do - that’s what ‘gift aid’ is. I don’t even think there is a limit.

Numerous calls to the ticket office to try and sort this out this morning Just rings... and rings... and rings... and rings. No response to email either. Well annoyed.

Pretty sure Ricky Lambert wouldn’t have ever had the opportunity to show he was top class if we hadn’t given him the chance.

The “window thingy” is just the car (or other) window sticker. My son got his about a week ago. Big box - but only thing in it was a season ticket. Someone said on another thread they had messed up all the kids boxes and the “goodies” would be sent later. I would have been very happy with the ticket and nothing else. Very unhappy with what I got. At least the ticket office works Sunday so I can easily sort it out.....

Finally got my box yesterday. Letter from ralf, badge, window thingy, fixtures. But no season ticket! Unbelievable.

Just realised I haven’t got mine. Doesn’t look like they are “print at home” and not on season ticket as they haven’t been posted. Does everyone have to pick up from the ticket office? Could be s big queue!

Bit random, but it is the close season. Mine was saints last minute winner at Pompey in the FAC fourth round, 1984. Dropped the radio in excitement and all the batteries fell out. Let luckily the BBC vidiprinter confirmed it 30 seconds later.

Great work - I assumed it had been lost as probably pre video recorders and not part of MOTD/BM archive. Like others can clearly remember staying up for sportsnight in ignorance of the score, and listening to solent in bed for the second leg.

Not so long ago, we were a win away from fourth. Last season, didn’t we have top half form under Ralph? We should aim for 7th but I’d be happy with 10th. Below that, not so happy.
