  1. I note you have specifically not ruled out a move for the 6 foot 4 inch ex-Coldstream guardsman. Tweaking the tails of the big clubs. Ah Ah Ah.
  2. I like a good swear as much as the next man but one point that doesn’t seem to have been made is that there there is a hierarchy of swear words, and the c word is very definitely class A. This lady has zero support but, while her suggestion of clearing the stand is clearly, um, grandstanding, I have a bit of sympathy for her. I have brought my kids to footy many times over the years and I think I would have thought twice about it if I anticipated exposing them to frequent Class A swearing. This discussion has also got me thinking that the only person I remember swearing near me is.... me. But I certainly wouldn’t venture into Class A territory generally (I’m thinking, away game, adults only, several pre match beers, plus abject referring performance might equal an airing of the c word). I’m pretty sure if someone started throwing a few c bombs around in the itchen and there were kids in the vicinity they’d get a tap on the shoulder and a “there’s kids around mate” warning and the response would almost certainly be “oh, sorry mate, got carried away”. If I fancied throwing a few c bombs around in a public place I would feel much more at home in the Northam. Perhaps the way forward is for the club to help by renaming each of the stands after the worst swear word acceptable in that area of the ground?
  3. I’ve been struggling with the rubbish Tappatalk for years - I’d never spotted the mobile view option at the bottom of the web version. Miles better - thanks!
  4. I feel by getting behind the strategic direction of the club at half time, I played a crucial part in our glorious victory. Cummon!
  5. As title!
  6. Except for the loss of dressing room harmony. Very glad we’ve dodged this bullet.
  7. He’s the new Micky Evans
  8. Puel must be feeling a bit edgy. As things stand Leicester are 8th.
  9. I am right in the front of the archers road end in the middle of the goal. The Regis goal is pretty much right on my head. Still remember him finishing it so clearly (and Ivan’s classic earlier). RIP

  12. Also there. Remember the goal and shedding a tear. Also remember breathing a sigh of relief when Marsden didn’t add the fourth - I don’t think that was unique to people with a bet on the game! Remember leaving the ground for the last time. Oddly my season ticket was also upper east. Row B. Had it for about 15 years and it was an amazing view, as a few others have said. I was a bit disappointed at the SMS view by comparison.
  13. Definitely camera, by some margin. I ended up about 10 yards down the aisle from my seat, with about 10 people, most of whom I didn’t know on the floor in the aftermath - and that was in the Itchen!
  14. Mainly down to the current chap being nailed on to take us down.
  15. But previously, the only reason I could possibly see for not acting was that there wasn’t anyone we could get in who would clearly be better - now there is. In my opinion, he’d be miles better.
  16. Hughes could do a job for us?
  17. The old season tickets at The Dell made great red cards.
  18. This is how I felt too. There was a moment in the second half when he came out and caught the ball almost on the penalty spot and I thought, wow - not seen that for some time! FF fails to come off his line even by a few yards (Hudd and spurs in recent weeks) - so he can watch hopelessly as another free header from inside the six yards box hits the net. He should have been dropped for good after the debacle of the Chelsea free kick where he lined up the wall appallingly and then had his hands on his hips looking at the lino instead of being ready to move.

  20. Glen Hoddle, with Eileen Drury stepping into Les’s boots?
  21. At least under Branfoot we looked like we were trying to score. He is starting to look ok in comparison.
  22. Morally unpleasant? Seriously? Most popular games are charged more. The date is relevant. (They could charge less for games at stupid times tho.....)
  23. Anyone know why this is a "sticky". Nothing confirmed yet?
  24. Good chorus but I'm not sure the first verse works.
