I think 88/89 was the first season all games were televised and that's when they started - with a 4 0 win against West Ham, 1 0 win at qpr, 2 1 against Luton maybe, and then Glendale being crocked at Highbury (from memory).
77/78 - runners up div 2

79/80 - 8th div 1
80/81 - 6th div 1
11/12 - runners up div 2
12/13 - 14th div 1
13/14 - 8th div 1
14/15 - 6th div 1 (so far)
