There are certain songs that I associate with events in my life. This was my first year at university: October days, dark and rainy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqrMd5y7QXQ

Stamp Duty exemptions for FTBs will not make the slightest difference. It won't free up movement in the housing market higher up the ladder. Getting rid of HIPs would have been far more sensible.

Really? That buggers up that theory then. I was thinking of the character in Life of Brian. He must be a good actor.

My dad always used to play this on the piano. I can't bear to hear it now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnPD3eEUeBU&feature=PlayList&p=D327764D2613F87D&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=46

Well I've just read it. I was brought up on North London 'cheeky chappy' Eric Idle sort of humour where you have to make a joke about everything. I found out later that they have a different sense of humour 'oop north'. Or perhaps they just don't have one.

Yes, I've got one senior and one adult and one of the tickets has a stub missing.

He was doing a lot of organizing, I saw him having a go at Papa although I think most of it went over his head.

Isn't there something about being allowed to sign a pre-contract for someone else within 6 months of the end of your current contract? Did James drop the clause in his current contract about an automatic one year extension, or was it just foregoing a pay rise?

I was quoting a Hull City forum. It's all below the Blue Square Premier, isn't it? I'm not sure that any of their playes are good enough, even for that.

Ouch. -

That's quite correct, you can't sign a player during the window, either on permanent or on loan... ...except in amergency and with the permission of the PL
-
No it's not right and I'm sure that other clubs would complain bitterly. I don't know whether another club could pay a deposit with a view to signing the player in the summer?
-
As I see it, you can sell players but you can't sign them, unless it is classed as an 'emergency' and is with the permission of the Premier League. That means that the club taking over the player would also be signing outside the window, even if the same player were loaned straight back. English Conference clubs are not bound by the window system

No, but they were on the wrong feet.

Thanks for those. It confirms what I remember about the first goal, that Mills was running round in circles looking lost, but he wasn't the only one. It was a complete defensive shambles.
-
No, it was just the fans. I am in the centre Kingsland but they were so sparse that it was fairly easy. At the kick-off I made it 160 - 170 but a few more turned up later. Respect. :prayer:

Good question. How much TV money would we have got?

The two teams must wear different colours so that the referee can correctly determine who has kicked the ball (or player), not that this has ever stopped them from getting it wrong before. 'The two teams must wear colours that distinguish them from each other and also the referee and the assistant referees'

I counted them at just under 200

I'm not clear from this whether it's the workers or the management who are incompetent, nor who the parasites are. I'll settle for both.

So then...what is satisfactory?

I think that what we shall achieve this season is about as well as I would have expected, but next season I shall expect automatic promotion and I would regard playoffs as a bit of a disappointment. -

If it makes anyone feel better, I've just seen on the Carlisle website that their coaches are leaving Carlisle at 04:00. -
Unfortunately when any business is steadily losing money then nobody has any rights. I spoke yesterday to one of my suppliers who said that during the last year he had five women workers who all offered to go on a four-day week, each taking turns to miss a day just so that they could all keep their jobs. We've come a long way since the 1950s but there are still some organisations where the workers think that the business is run for their benefits and not the customers'.

So who's received their wembley tickets in the post yet?
Whitey Grandad replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
Yes, and that is the nub of the problem. The finalists have been known since the 10th February and tickets went on sale on the 22nd February. The ground has been booked since the beginning of the season so they must have been expecting to print some tickets at some time. I'm fully prepared to lay the blame for these delays at Wembley's door. The stadium cost several hundreds of millions of pounds and I'm sure that a ticketing system must have been part of that.
