I once had some spare tickets for England v Brazil at Wembley. I couldn't even give them away outside the ground. If I'd been asking £100 perhaps theyd've taken them.

Is that 'we will play crap' or 'we will play like crap' ?

Yup, my usual number. I saw the website and the apology so I wasn't surprised but I could see how it could cause 'misunderstandings'.

What's with the seeding? Is it to guarantee the 'lower' clubs a decent payout?

When I bought my ticket for my seat last Thursday it was numbered seating. Without checking the website, how would anybody know that things had changed? I got in at 7:20 and sat one row immediately in front of 'my' seat. It didn't feel right and the view wasn't as good as normal. Luckily I knew about the change or I might have been disappointed.

I thought that Olly was getting a bit 'sucked under the ball' last night. He would go for a header and then find that he'd misjudged it and it was skimming off the top of his head. (and for all those with smutty comments, go and wash your mind out with soap and water)

It twiggged on me last night that the draw for the first round was seeded geographically north/south. 25 teams have been seeded for the next round which means that they can't face each other, and they are basically the Premiership without the European contenders and the top of the Championship. I bought mine last week. As an old git season-ticket holder it cost me £3.

Hardly worth demanding a retraction though, don't you think? I agree that when an apology is required then it should be freely provided, and in a font the same size as the original headline!

When I bought my ticket at the Ticket office last Thursday, the young chap gave me a fixture-list card and pointed out that the match had been moved from Wednesday to Tuesday. You'd think somebody would have updated the download, though. Thank you for pointing it out.
