  1. The answers are 'yes' and 'bugger all' in that order.
  2. I've heard some feeble excuses in my time but now I've heard it all. If you think that we have been unlucky this season then you must have been watching a different team. The only bad luck that we supporters have had is to be the poor recipients of the crass and bizarre decisions of a deluded chairman.
  3. There seem to be an awful lot of them.
  4. How on earth do you come to that conclusion? Surely bad management must come at the top of the list?
  5. Not from what I've seen. The ball is rarely 'dead' when he has his first touch and he doesn't have particularly quick feet.
  6. Promote McGoldrick from a League-2 standard stroll-about to top goalscorer in the CCC?
  7. More paying guests through the turnstiles?
  8. I should have added 'up-to-date'
  9. I said 'detailed'...
  10. The only items that matter are 5 & 6. 6 alone might stave off administration but 6 won't happen without 5.
  11. I cannot possible express an opinion on this matter without having a detailed look at the accounts.
  12. How can you possibly make a statement like that? There is no possible basis for coming to that conclusion. I am confident that Crouch is just as capable of making the necessary savings as Lowe, but one thing is certain: the return of Lowe has caused a drop in income through the turnstiles.
  13. I would have to be very careful. At my age, in my fragile state, the shock could finish me off.
  14. I would say Bournemouth but they will probably beat us to it. I watched some enjoyable games there many years ago with my father-in law until he died. My family are all from Tottenham way so I saw a few games there back when Jimmy Greaves was still playing. I suppose I could still get my footie fix from refereeing on a Sunday morning where the real stuff is played. It's the beautiful game, the King of Sports, the finest game in the world, but somehow it hasn't seemed like it this season.
  15. I think: Respect and Pity in equal proportions.
  16. Hang on a minute! It depends on how old you are
  17. Just background info. It is one way for a club (PLC) to raise money. i don't think that it would work in our case. Although if someone wanted to create a supporter's association to run the whole mess then I might be interested. We could be like Barcelona, but with more glamour
  18. Is that because of the time that has lapsed since his initial purchase at 65p?
  19. The short answer is 'yes'. I think the relevant term is 'controlling' the shares as far as the Inland Revenue are concerned. Providing that they are bona-fide independent shareholdings with no agreement regarding voting rights then I reckon that you should be in the clear. But don't quote me on this or rush out and start buying them now!
  20. This is one of the reasons that you should always pay by credit card.
  21. Didn't Arsenal introduce some 'debentures' system. They cost (from memory) around £8000 but that was just for the right to buy future season tickets.
  22. I have no problem with being in league 1, in fact I'm looking forward to going to some away games at real football grounds. But I do expect my season tickets to cost a lot less next year.
  23. Last night it might have made a difference. Certainly starting with Euell was a no-brainer. Our midfield was Wotton, Gillett, McLaggon, Lallana. We never stood a chance.
  24. How much are the 'mortgage' repayments they must be of the order of £2m per year. Most other clubs in League 1 will not be saddled with those but our income will be very similar to theirs, unless we can fill the stadium which won't happen with this manager and what would be left of this squad. Can somebody please re-iterate when these players' contracts expire? (I'm too busy to look it up myself!)
  25. I agree completely. It wasn't a difficult team decision was it?
